Michael Bublé seemingly admitted that he was tripping on mushrooms while serving as a celebrity captain for the NHL All-Star Game.
“My buddy told me, ‘this is just a microdose of mushrooms,’ and he was lying,” Bublé said during a media press conference on Thursday. “So, I’ll be honest, I thought I was in Blades of Glory for most of the time that I was out there, until it sort of settled down and then I realized, ‘Holy shit, I am in the NHL All-Star Game.”
Bublé later backtracked the admission when approached by YouTuber Steve Dangle during the evening’s dinner: “It was a joke,” Bublé said in a video Dangle shared to Twitter. “Of course I wasn’t [on mushrooms]! I’m sitting here at dinner. I do have a problem with bread. When I get anxious, I can’t stop eating it. But no, not mushrooms.”

Ryan Gosling issued a statement about Barbie‘s Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie being snubbed in two key Oscar categories on Tuesday.
The actor had some strong words following Gerwig missing out on a best director Oscar nomination, and Robbie not being nominated for best actress. Gosling was nominated for a best supporting Oscar (along with his co-star America Ferrera), leading many to strongly criticize the nominations as snubbing the blockbuster film’s two biggest creatives.
“I am extremely honored to be nominated by my colleagues alongside such remarkable artists in a year of so many great films,” the actor began. “And I never thought I’d be saying this, but I’m also incredibly honored and proud that it’s for portraying a plastic doll named Ken.”
The actor continued: “But there is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no Barbie movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie,...

There are always Oscar snubs. But this one is striking the media as particularly egregious: Greta Gerwig wasn’t nominated for best director for Barbie — a film that was not only the biggest hit of the year and helped to bring moviegoers back to cinema with the success of “Barbenheimer,” but was also nominated for best picture and, by any measure, was a very tricky project to pull off. In addition, Barbie star Margot Robbie was snubbed for best actress, while Ryan Gosling and America Ferrera were nominated for supporting.
People have thoughts.
“Both Gerwig and Robbie ignored … it’s still so easy for Hollywood to overlook and discount artistic contributions of women — Even When Its The Point Of The Year’S Biggest Movie!” wrote MSNBC host Jennifer Palmieri. “My God. It was nominated for best picture. Didn’t direct itself, friends!”

Former SportsNet NY analyst Nelson Figueroa has finally addressed his controversial departure from the network, claiming the relationship “ran its course.”
Appearing as a guest last night on Call it a Night with Julie Stewart-Binks on the fubo Sports Network, Figueroa did not speak to reports that he showed up in “a state not fit to work,” as the New York Post put it in its story.
“I think basically it comes down to, it kind of ran it’s course,” Figueroa said. “Four years, I was nominated for four Emmys. Going into year five, they decided to go in a different direction. Having said that, I was having to work three times as much to make half as much. It was a very difficult time for all parties. It wasn’t the best fit for me.”
Figueroa then alluded to a the film Jerry McGuire. in which the sports agent played by Tom Cruise,...
