Season 24 of “The Voice” ended Tuesday, December 20 with host Carson Daly announcing Huntley as the winner. The 33-year old gave coach Niall Horan his second victory, keeping him undefeated and making the “Slow Hands” singer just the third coach to win two seasons back-to-back (Blake Shelton won Seasons 2-5 and Kelly Clarkson‘s team took the top spot in Seasons 14 and 15). Watch our exclusive video interview with Huntley above.
“I know I’m 33 and Ruby is 16, but that girl can sing and she’s a super mega-talent,” Huntley says. “I did not once think that I was going to win this thing. As soon as my name got called I was definitely surprised. The father in me remembered Ruby was up there with me. If “The Voice” had a Mount Rushmore of coaches, three of the faces carved into its granite would no doubt be Niall Horan, Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson. Why? Because as of the Season 24 finale on December 19, they are the only coaches to have won two seasons in a row. That’s quite an impressive feat, especially considering the immense amount of talent that has graced the NBC reality TV show since its debut in 2011. See the updated “The Voice” winners list.
Niall joined the esteemed list on Tuesday night when Huntley, his 33-year-old artist from Fredericksburg, Virginia, won Season 24 over runner-up Ruby Leigh of Team Reba McEntire. That gave Niall back-to-back victories because he also prevailed in Season 23 with Illinois pop singer Gina Miles, who bested runner-up Grace West of Team Blake. Since Niall isn’t returning in the spring for Season 25, that means he will remain undefeated for the time being.

The final five contestants on this season of The Voice took to the stage on Monday (December 18) night for their last live performances, hoping to impress the viewers and earn their votes ahead of Tuesday’s (December 19) finale. Those remaining in the competition are Team John Legend‘s Lila Forde, Team Reba McEntire‘s Jacquie Roar and Ruby Leigh, and Team Niall Horan‘s Huntley and Mara Justine. Gwen Stefani is the only coach without a contestant in the finale after her last remaining artist, Bias, was eliminated in last week’s semi-final. This is what happened: Jacquie Roar Roar kicked off the evening with an incredible, high-note-hitting rendition of Boston’s “More Than A Feeling,” earning a standing ovation from the four coaches. “You know that old saying, ‘Go big or go home,’ you went big. Way to go. I am so happy for you,” McEntire told Roar after the performance.

It was a dramatic night on Tuesday’s (December 12) episode of The Voice as the Top 9 singers were whittled down to five ahead of next week’s much-anticipated Season 24 finale. And there were shock eliminations that left fans stunned. Viewers had been voting for their favorites since Monday’s (December 11) episode, where each artist performed a fan-selected song, in addition to three trios performances of a Taylor Swift hit. Four of the nine performers made it through to the finale based on Monday’s performances, with the remaining five having to fight it out to earn the final spot. The four that made it through based on fan votes were front-runner Huntley, 16-year-old country singer Ruby Leigh, jazz vocalist Lila Forde, and former America’s Got Talent star Mara Justine. This left Nini Iris, Bias, Jacquie Roar, Jordan Rainer, and Mac Royals to battle it out for the last remaining spot in the finale.

And then there were five. After an evening of well-above-average Semi-Finals performances, including three Taylor Swift numbers, The Voice eliminated four contestants Tuesday ahead of its Monday, Dec. 18, finale (at 8/7c on NBC).

Last week on “The Voice,” Team Niall Horan took the stage during the playoffs as all six contestants performed for a shot at making it into the live shows. In the end, three of his artists advanced to the next round: Huntley, Nini Iris and Mara Justine. That meant the other three singers — Claudia B., Julia Roome and Alexa Wildish — were all eliminated.
Gold Derby asked “The Voice” fans to vote in our poll for which of these three was most robbed, and the results are an absolute landslide for Alexa. In fact, a whopping 72% of responders voted for Alexa, compared to just 17% for Julia and 11% for Claudia. Do You agree or disagree with those poll results? Singer-songwriter Niall Horan knows a thing or two about singing shows, as he got his big break with the boyband One Direction, which was formed by Simon Cowell on the British series “The X Factor” in 2010. Throughout his career, Niall has sold over 80 million records and toured the globe with One Direction and more recently with his solo albums “Flicker,” “Heartbreak Weather” and “The Show.” When he was 29 years old, he became a coach on “The Voice” in Spring 2023 and won on his first try with pop singer Gina Miles. Now that the Season 24 blind auditions, battles and knockouts have concluded, can Niall prevail yet again on NBC’s reality TV show?

The Voice fans were left stunned after Tuesday (November 21) night’s episode, which saw Niall Horan eliminate a seemingly surefire top contender from the competition on the first night of Playoffs. With the blind auditions, battle rounds, and three-way knockouts out of the way, the four coaches, John Legend, Gwen Stefani, Reba McEntire, and Horan, narrowed their teams down to six (including a returning Super Save pick) ahead of the Playoffs, which kicked off on Tuesday with Team Niall battling it out for a shot in the live shows. Heading into Tuesday’s episode, Team Niall consisted of four singers who received four-chair turns during the blind auditions: Huntley, Nini Iris, Alexa Wildish, and Mara Justine (whom he stole from Legend in the knockouts). In addition, the One Direction alum had Claudia B, who he stole from Legend in the battles, plus teenager Julia Roome, who he brought back with his Super Save.

Tuesday night during “The Playoffs Premiere” on NBC’s “The Voice,” Niall Horan had the difficult decision of cutting his six-person team down to only three aspiring singers. In the end, he chose to keep Huntley, Nini Iris and Mara Justine, which meant Claudia B., Julia Roome and Alexa Wildish were all sent home. So which of Team Niall’s three eliminated artists do You think was most robbed in “The Voice” Playoffs? Vote in our poll below.
“Moving into the live shows, I think we all know that Team Niall is the team to beat,” the former One Direction superstar declared at the end of the hour. “The three moving forward are so strong and also completely different singers.” The Irish coach then reminded viewers, “I won Season 23, and I have a good feeling the winner of Season 24 is on Team Niall.”

Oh, Niall Horan. What were you thinking? As Season 24’s Playoffs got underway on The Voice Tuesday evening, the former One Direction heartthrob’s team competed for the chance to advance to the Top 12. And all six — including the Super Save artist that he was allowed to bring back after her elimination — did pretty damn terrifically. There was almost no wrong way that he could go… except one. He had among his contenders a singer who stood head and shoulders above the rest. That she should continue on wasn’t merely obvious, it was, like, mandatory. Yet he cut her...

Monday’s episode of The Voice not only served up the last of Season 24’s Battles, it threw out the first of the three-way Knockouts. The coach then picks a winner, and the two losers are available to be saved by their coach or stolen by an opponent. Halloween night on The Voice gave me chills, all right — but not entirely in a good way. First, John Legend, Gwen Stefani, Niall Horan and Reba McEntire let go two singers who’d demonstrated great potential rather than use any of their precious Steals. When Mara Justine belted out Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” at the tail end of Monday’s Season 24 premiere of The Voice, John Legend, Niall Horan, Gwen Stefani and new coach on the block Reba McEntire lost their collective minds. Perhaps the strongest contestant to perform during the two-hour premiere of “The Voice” Season 24 was Mara Justine, whose cover of “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” received a four-chair-turn after only about 30 seconds (watch above).
