Ben Willoughby got a promotion this week on Below Deck, and fans have a lot to say about it.
Captain Kerry Titheradge fired Bosun Jared Woodin after he screwed up one time too many.
It made sense for the captain that Ben, as lead deckhand, would take on the bosun role.
After all, this was Ben’s second time working on the St. David, and he knows his way around the yacht.
While Captain Kerry may believe in Ben, Below Deck fans are a different story.
X (formerly Twitter) was filled with Below Deck viewers sharing their opinions on Ben’s new promotion.

Now that she has two seasons of The Traitors under her belt, Kate Chastain is a certified veteran of the Peacock murder mystery competition — and she knows exactly which fellow Bravo star she would cast on the show.
“I really think that Chef Ben would be fantastic. He would be such a good traitor,” Chastain tells TVLine, referring to Ben Robinson, the yacht chef with whom she famously sparred on multiple seasons of Bravo’s Below Deck. “I have a condo in the same building as him. He lives down the street now. And I don’t trust him at all.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for House of Villains Finale] Some of the most recognizable and devious personalities in the reality TV game put their skills to the test on House of Villains. After weeks of physical, borderline ridiculous, somewhat terrifying, and mentally draining challenges, it came down to five during the E! competition show’s finale. Still left were Johnny Bananas (The Challenge), Jonny Fairplay (Survivor), Tanisha Thomas (Bad Girls Club), Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee (Love is Blind), and Anfisa Arkhipchenko (90 Day Fiancé). Host Joel McHale revealed their last Battle Royale challenge would be “Last Supper.” The eating competition saw the group downing hard-boiled eggs, nuclear spicy wings, red snapper eyeballs, bull testicles, and pig brains served up by Below Deck’s Ben Robinson. Bananas had the stomach to finish his meal first, earning him a guaranteed seat in the finals. The Challenge legend chose his ride-or-die Tanisha to join him. This left Shake, Fairplay, and Anfisa battling it...

Fabio Passaro, who passed away in October of 2022, was a beloved mainstay behind the scenes of "Star Trek." He was a famously self-taught and extremely skilled computer modeler who contributed 3D models of the many "Star Trek" ships, often to be used on authorized "Star Trek" magazine covers. Specifically, Passaro's model of the U.S.S. Reliant, the ship that Khan stole in "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan," was featured on the cover of the March 2002 issue of Star Trek: The Magazine. Passaro once said that it took him 60 hours of work to make the Reliant look as photorealistic as possible.
From then on, Passaro became an invaluable contributor to ancillary "Star Trek" projects and makers of collectibles. Passaro helped design the interiors of the Borg ship for "Borg Invasion 4D," the theme-park-ready short film that was included in Star Trek: The Experience (1998 - 2008) at the Las Vegas Hilton.

Below Deck Down Under viewers were likely surprised when second officer João Franco from Below Deck Mediterranean joined the cast. But he’s not the first crew member to jump series and cast crossovers seem to be happening more and more within the franchise.
So which crew members started in one Below Deck series and jumped ship to another?
‘Below Deck’ crew member crossovers who launched a new series
The original Below Deck series was such a success that production company 51 Minds launched Below Deck Mediterranean. But rather than kick it off with an entirely new cast, they included original chef Ben Robinson to set sail alongside new chief stew Hannah Ferrier and Captain Mark Howard.
Robinson appeared on Below Deck Med once more as the relief chef on season 4. Chef Adam Glick took over on Below Deck Med for seasons 2 and 3. He then became the crossover cast member to launch Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

Chef Ilesha Dell designed a lavish meal on the Below Deck Sailing Yacht finale complete with oysters topped with mignonette sauce.
The guests devoured the meal, raving about every single dish, including the oysters. Dell’s oysters almost resembled Rocky Dakota’s Below Deck Season 3 oyster creation. Dakoka designed an oyster appetizer topped with a drizzle of grenadine. The guests politely didn’t eat most of the oysters – in fact, the primary vomited.
So what is the difference between mignonette sauce versus grenadine on oysters? And should chefs never put grenadine on fresh oysters?

London, July 10 (Ians) The UK’s largest National Health Service (NHS) trust has yet again suffered a ransomware attack on its systems, compromising data of about 2.5 million patients, media reports said.
Calling it to be “the biggest breach of healthcare data in the United Kingdom”, the notorious ransomware gang BlackCat claimed to have stolen 70 terabytes of sensitive data from Barts Health NHS Trust, which runs five London-based hospitals, the TechCrunch reported.
The sensitive data includes employee identification documents, including passport and driver’s licences, and internal emails labelled “confidential”.
BlackCat, also known as Alphv, had given a deadline of Monday before it starts publishing the information most of which are “confidential documents” on the dark web.
“We are aware of claims of a ransomware attack and are urgently investigating,” a Barts Health spokesperson was quoted as saying.
This is the second such breach of NHS data in recent weeks.

Captain Sandy Yawn has worked with eight chefs on Below Deck Mediterranean, but chef Dave White from season 7 really stood out.
Yawn noted that chef Ben Robinson also blew her away with his talent, but said White was the best chef she’s ever had. “Forget the personal [issues] aside and then Ben, because I only had Ben for two charters, but [White] is the best chef,” she told Showbiz Cheat Sheet while doing press for Chips Ahoy!
“Did you see the food?” she asked. “He’d make five breads – five breads – every morning from scratch!” Also, “His desserts were cool. If you go to his Instagram, you’ll see the bird’s nest. It’s an actual dessert that looks like eggs hatched in a bird’s nest.”
White impressed Yawn, but he said he struggled while on Below Deck Med. In fact, he almost quit because of the drama that surrounded him.

The collapse of partworks publisher and model shop Eaglemoss back in July 2022 was a blow to fans who had been following the line. Though best known for their high-quality Star Trek ships, they had released three Stargate vessels: Daedalus, Ha‘tak Pyramid Ship, and a Death Glider.
The Stargate line’s custodian Ben Robinson – who worked as Eaglemoss’s Director of Licensed Products until the company went into administration – told GateWorld that the plan was for 10 Stargate models. Being a chief stew on a superyacht is essentially guerilla training for motherhood. Former Below Deck chief stew Kate Chastain will soon welcome her first baby and when that bundle of joy arrives, she can tap into stew training to help her with sleepless nights and being on-call 24/7.
Babies are somewhat comparable to a demanding charter guest, often in tears over just about everything, can be satisfied with a bottle, but usually awake at odd hours of the night.
Kate Chastain can handle a weird sleep schedule and long nights
Most newborns need several weeks or even months before they find a sleep rhythm, which means being awake with a crying baby at 2 a.m. but then up again at 6 a.m. is common for parents.

UK-based store Master Replicas has acquired the liquidated stock of Eaglemoss and will be releasing models to its shop every two weeks. Despite his charming nature, chef Ben Robinson from Below Deck has popped off at a stew or two in the galley. He recently discussed how many great chefs can be an “a**hole” in the kitchen when it comes to their food.
Robinson also told Showbiz Cheat Sheet that being a little grumpy in the kitchen is the norm for most good chefs. “I think every serious or good chef does have that moment because the food can’t be compromised,” he said.
“And if we see it being compromised by the staff or whatever, then that’s a problem,” he said. “Food is all about timing and if it’s not going out, it’s getting cold or it’s getting soggy, or whatever it is. [So] I do think good chefs should throw their toys occasionally. I think if you’re a pushover as a chef, then your food is going to be compromised.

This post contains spoilers for the premiere of "Star Trek: Picard" season 3.
In the first episode of the third season of "Star Trek: Picard," Captain Riker (Jonathan Frakes) is drinking at Guinan's bar. The bar is recognizably retro, with familiar looking spirits on a glass shelf, booths for dining, and even neon signage advertising various beers. The only thing it's missing is a blinking sign declaring that Coors was For CaliFORnia. Riker is in town for an upcoming Federation holiday called Frontier Day, and he and Admiral Picard (Patrick Stewart) are scheduled to make inspirational speeches at celebratory event. While waiting in the bar, Riker notices that Guinan is doing something previously unthinkable: selling merch. The bar is heavily decorated with miniature scale models of recognizable Federation starships on stands.
The shelves, Riker notes, are awfully lousy with models of the Enterprise-d, the ship he served on for seven seasons...

You might think that religion and holidays don’t exist in the 23rd, 24th, or 32nd Centuries of Star Trek’s shared future, but in the first season of The Original Series, Kirk totally has flashbacks to a Christmas party on the Enterprise. Plus, who can forget when Picard fantasized about the giant Christmas tree in Star Trek Generations? Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or the Bajoran Gratitude Festival, you’re going to need some gifts this year. We don’t have replicators or programmable matter yet, so for now, you’re going to have to do some shopping.
Here’s a smattering of the best of the best gifts for the Star Trek person in your life. But, probably best to use the Spore Drive to grab all this stuff before it gets sucked into a wormhole. Hit it!

Beyond the toys, eggnog and family time, a nostalgic part the Yuletide season for me are books about comics. When I was growing up, there were just a few : Batman from the 30s to the 70s, Les Daniels’ Comix, Stan Lee’s Origins of Marvel Comics. But boy, did they make an impression on me. Today there’s a plethora of spectacular books available. Here’s a few of the best ones for your gift list consideration:
Kirby & Lee: Stuf’ Said! : The Complex Genesis of the Marvel Universe
by John Morrow and Jon B. Cooke, Twomorrows
I really enjoyed A Marvelous Life: The Amazing Story Of Stan Lee by Danny Fingeroth. Somehow, Fingeroth seemed to thread the needle to deliver a fascinating book and thoroughly explores the myth versus the man.
But there’s two sides to every story, and that’s the approach that John Morrow took in this brilliant book,...

It’s an unexpected Bravo crossover on this week’s all-new episode of Below Deck, and Et has your exclusive first look.
