Get us Colin Donnell, stat! Five years after hanging up his scrubs as Chicago Med‘s Dr. Connor Rhodes, the Broadway-trained charisma factory is returning to the Dick Wolf-iverse for a two-part arc on FBI: International. But is his new role a good guy like Connor? “We think he is,” hems Donnell, literally 12 hours after returning to the states from filming in Budapest and Oslo. Adding that his National Security Agency liaison Brian Lange “is introduced as an FBI agent whose role in the FBI coincides with the Fly Team’s case” involving a cyber security executive’s murder in Copenhagen, Donnell does confirm that he will be working with our heroes in Season 3’s final two episodes. “And that’s about all I can say.” Nelly Kiss/CBS Whether or not Lange is being developed as a potential replacement for former team leader Scott Forrester remains to be seen,...

Former Chicago Med stars Colin Donnell and Brian Tee posed for a selfie on the set of the NBC medical drama, raising a big question for Season 9. We already know that Tee, who played Dr. Ethan Choi on the show, is directing the season’s 11th episode. But why is Donnell there, too? Is Dr. Connor Rhodes reporting for work at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center again? Unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like it. Donnell’s return to the Chicago Med set was only social, apparently, with TVLine reporting there aren’t plans to bring Connor back on screen. Tee posted the selfie on Instagram on Saturday, writing, “So I’m directing my [episode] of #ChicagoMed, and guess who made a surprise visit… the @colindonnell. Great to see you old friend. The #Og docs.” Donnell reposted the pic to his Instagram Stories, writing, “The most kismet wonderful happenstance that @brian_tee had...

More often than not, Dick Wolf franchises feel untouchable.
Depending on how well actor negotiations have gone regarding artificial intelligence, it wouldn't be entirely unsurprising if, 20 years from now, we still have an AI-generated rendition of Olivia Benson protecting and advocating for abuse survivors on Law Order: Svu.
There's longevity in the Dick Wolf series, whether it's the Law & Order franchise or One Chicago. And by now, viewers have grown accustomed to a revolving door of beloved characters and actors over the years to sustain the series.
But is there a breaking point to that? Will there ever be a point, at least for the One Chicago series, where too many casting changes and a different formula for screentime for budgetary purposes reach a point of no return?

Many movies are only as good as their villain. So it goes with the "Fast and Furious" franchise that has somehow managed to produce 11 films (and counting) despite lukewarm success in the bad guy category. Our heroes, led by Vin Diesel's fearless Dominic Toretto, have gone toe-to-toe with a staggering collection of veteran actors with mixed results, often achieving victory relatively quickly in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
Thankfully, a handful of notable evil-doers in the "Fast Saga" stand out amongst the fleet and punch above the script on the way to bad-guy glory. With the new "Fast X" driving over box office records, we thought it'd be prudent to run through the entire series and separate the villains who kicked it into fifth gear from those stuck on neutral. So, we present all the villains in the "Fast and Furious" franchise (including Jason Momoa) ranked from worst...

This article contains Fast and Furious franchise spoilers
Coinciding with its “bigger and louder” trend, The Fast and the Furious franchise significantly upped its villain game as the series progressed. Bad guys in the early entries are forgettably bland, but the latter films feature some incredible villains.
In this ranking, we’ve excluded characters who were antagonists but not true villains, heroes briefly coerced into turning heel, and garden variety henchmen. The caveat to this is the Shaw brothers, who were the villains of the sixth and seventh films but eventually allied with the heroes (we can only assume they were redeemed by the sheer power of Family). But since they were villains, they remain on the list.
14. Johnny Tran
The first The Fast and the Furious villain is also the worst one. Johnny Tran (Rick Yune) is an amalgamation of every high school bully ever put to film. He’s forgettable,...

It’s been three years since Colin Donnell was last seen on Chicago Med, and given Yaya DaCosta just returned as nurse April Sexton (for Brian Tee’s farewell), we can’t help but wonder if we could see another familiar face, specifically Dr. Connor Rhodes, again soon. “I have no idea, to be honest,” Donnell told TV Insider recently while discussing his latest series, Irreverent, on Peacock. “I have not ever heard any news about Connor’s return, but I know that they said the door was always open and he’s somewhere at another hospital doing something.” He continued, “It was a great time over there and it’s been fun to keep up with the news and the comings and goings of the cast and Chicago itself and that show in particular will always hold a special place.” (Irreverent even started with his character, a mediator for the mob,...

Rest in peace, Brian Zvonacek. You will most certainly be missed.
As sad as it is to say goodbye to Otis, it’s about time the series actually followed through on its threats to kill off a main character. And that's exactly what happened on Chicago Fire Season 8 Episode 1.
The last time a main character was offed was seasons ago when the series in revealed on Chicago Fire Season 3 Episode 1 that Shay had died in the harrowing fire explosion from the Chicago Fire Season 2 finale.
From there, characters have come and gone, but no one has bitten the bullet since.
The series lack of follow through was particularly annoying during the Chicago Fire Season 7 premiere when it was revealed none of the firefighters whose lives were in danger at the end of Chicago Fire Season 6 Episode 23 suffered any major injuries.
Everyone was just hunky dory, including Casey, who viewers were led to believe had died.

Dr. Connor Rhodes is checking back into Chicago Med: Colin Donnell will return for the Season 5 premiere to wrap up his character’s storyline, TVLine has confirmed.
In April, it was announced that Donnell — along with co-star Norma Kuhling (aka Dr. Ava Bekker) — would not be returning as a series regular in the fall. However, Connor’s story was left unfinished, with little closure, at the conclusion of the Season 4 finale. In the episode, Connor began to suspect that Ava was responsible for his dad Cornelius’ death. His ex was on a totally different wavelength, though, and tried to get back together with her beau.

Exclusive: After seven years on Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Justice, star Jon Seda is exiting the popular NBC drama franchise. Also departing are Chicago Med co-stars Colin Donnell and Norma Kuhling. All three are leaving as series regulars. As is always the case with the Dick Wolf TV universe, they could return for guest appearances. All three Chicago series have been renewed for next season.
According to sources, the cast departures stem from creative reasons related to the characters’ story evolution.
Seda, who plays Detective Antonio Dawson, was one of the original stars of Chicago P.D. He started off as a recurring on the mothership Chicago Fire before he and Jason Beghe were spun off to anchor spinoff Chicago P.D. as the leads. Seda left Chicago P.D. midway through Season 4 to join new legal drama spinoff Chicago Justice. He returned to Chicago P.D.
