He was a Radio-Canada TV director and administrator before becoming a film producer. He was the director from 1956 to 1959 of the news-magazine _Point de Mire_ of which
René Lévesque was the presenter and interviewer. In 1959, he was one of the board members of the directors union who went on a famous strike.
