Dawn Bierschwal
- Producer
- Writer
- Director
Before becoming a filmmaker, Dawn was an executive at Procter & Gamble with a global organization and responsibility for a $2.2 billion/year budget, and then a successful entrepreneur who created and grew a unique new business that was later sold to a company that is currently franchising her successful business model.
She started writing screenplays while still at P&G and began her foray into film making by producing and directing music videos. One of her first music videos became a rallying cry for kids to stand up for other kids being bullied. The video not only raised money for PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center, but transformed the artist from a local night club singer into an international anti-bullying advocate.
Her first feature film was Don Cheadle's acclaimed "Miles Ahead" on which she was Co-Executive Producer. She also Executive Produced Kevin Hamedani's award winning "In Her Place", Executive Produced the TV pilot "Playdates" with Paul Scheer and Paula Gallo which was chosen to premiere at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival, and was lead Producer of "Better Start Running" with Jeremy Irons, Alex Sharp, Analeigh Tipton, Edi Gathegi, Maria Bello and Karan Soni. She is currently Executive Producing the upcoming SILK ROAD and SHOPLIFTERS OF THE WORLD.
A graduate of Cornell University and a member of the Producers Guild, Dawn develops and oversees Piccadilly Pictures' North American based slate of projects in addition to producing her own projects.
