Junior Lopez is a Toronto-based animator, motion graphics artist and the owner and CEO of Illworks Media - an animation/motion graphics & VFX studio.
Notable broadcasters that he has worked with include Discovery Channel, BBC, History, Science Channel, The Food Network, and the CBC. In the past five years, has also done work for companies like Universal and Adidas.
Currently, Junior is working on graphics for Black Watch Snipers - a feature film about five snipers who survived WWII when most of their regiment was killed. His last project was creating the lighthearted cut-out style graphics in Building Star Trek, a documentary for Smithsonian Channel and Discovery Canada celebrating the scientific and cultural innovation of Star Trek: The Original Series on its 50th anniversary.
Prior to that, he worked on the high-concept animations for the Science Channel and Discovery Canada series Made By Destruction - transforming one item into another before the viewers' eyes - and the graphics, 3D animation and modeling for Camp X: Secret Agent School - the breakthrough feature film about a top secret WWII spy training camp that was the genesis for the CIA.
Other recent projects include True North Calling and Girls Night Out, both for the CBC, and Food Truck Face-off and Inspired with Anna Olsen, both for the Food Network.
Lopez's passion and ambition is evident in his work. He has pushed the boundaries of animation and graphics with each new project he has taken on - always bringing something different to the table and ensuring that no two projects are alike.
