It’s becoming a yearly tradition that John Carpenter‘s 1978 classic Halloween comes back to theatres during the month of October – and since the sequels Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers and Halloween 5 were independent productions that aren’t owned by studios like the other sequels are, they often accompany it. This year is a special occasion, as it marks the 45th anniversary of Halloween‘s original release… so once again, CineLife Entertainment, a division of Spotlight Cinema Networks, is teaming up with Compass International Pictures and Trancas International Films to bring Halloween back to theatre and drive-in screens, and Halloween 4 and Halloween 5 are coming along for the ride.
Halloween will be screening in 307 theatres across the United States, and tickets are available for purchase at This Link.

Laurie Strode's last stand will play out on Peacock the same day it hits theaters.
Universal Pictures, Miramax, and Blumhouse’s Halloween Ends, the final installment of the most acclaimed, revered horror franchise in film history, will debut as Peacock’s Halloween movie event Friday, October 14, day-and-date of its theatrical release.
The move follows in the footsteps of Halloween Kills, which launched on Peacock and in theaters on the same date in 2021.

It was significantly lower than its predecessor, but it likely helped boost Peacock subscribers.

The only thing you need to know about the first trailer for “Halloween Ends” is that it begins in typical slasher movie style as the camera follows series baddie Michael Myers. Breaking into a house and clearly planning to do more murders, he’s taken by surprise when on the other side of a bedroom door waits O.G. final girl Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), revolver in hand and ready to blast him.
Really, that’s it. If you’re not already sold, call the coroner because you’re probably dead.
Billed as the terrifying conclusion to the horror franchise, the film promises “a final confrontation unlike any captured onscreen before” as Laurie and Michael fight to the death.

Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) wasn't the only person to live through the night He came home in John Carpenter's Halloween, as the two children she babysat, Tommy Doyle and Lindsey Wallace, also survived their encounter with Haddonfield's very own boogeyman. Following the reveal that Anthony Michael Hall will play a grown-up Tommy in Halloween Kills, it's now been reported that Kyle Richards will reprise her role as Lindsey in the sequel to 2018's Halloween.
The news of Richards' return as Lindsey comes from HalloweenMovies.com, who shared the following press release details, including a comment from producer Malek Akkad:
No stranger to the genre, Richards previous roles include (in addition to Halloween) the horror flicks Eaten Alive (1976), The Car (1977) and The Watcher in the Woods (1980), although fans of reality TV may more recognize her from her appearances in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, in which she portrays herself.

Kyle Richards, an actress and star of the reality show “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” is joining the cast of “Halloween Kills,” the horror sequel from Universal and Blumhouse.
Richards appeared in the original 1978 “Halloween” directed by John Carpenter when she was just 9 years old, and in a nod to the original film, Richards will reprise her role as Lindsey, who we first met as a young girl being babysat by the character Annie Brackett (Nancy Kyes).
She joins a cast that already includes Jamie Lee Curtis returning after appearing in the rebooted sequel from last year, as well as Anthony Michael Hall as Tommy Doyle. While Hall is new to the franchise, his character Doyle was a boy in the original “Halloween” as well, and even returned in one of the sequels, as played by Paul Rudd in the sequel.

Following the announcement back in July that the storyline of 2018's Halloween will continue in the sequels Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends, it's now been revealed that Anthony Michael Hall will play a grown-up version of an iconic character from 1978's Halloween.
Variety's Justin Kroll reports that Anthony Michael Hall has been cast to play Tommy Doyle in Halloween Kills. As those familiar with the history of Haddonfield know, Tommy, along with Lindsey Wallace, was babysat by Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) on the fateful Halloween night of 1978, when Michael Myers returned to his hometown to kill those unfortunate enough to get within striking distance of his butcher knife and lethal hands. Tommy was a crucial element of John Carpenter's Halloween, viewing Michael Myers as the boogeyman and trying to warn Laurie that someone was lurking in the shadows of Haddonfield long after the trick-or-treaters went inside for the night.

Universal Pictures has unveiled back-to-back “Halloween” sequel movies that will open in 2020 and 2021.
The studio made the announcement Friday, noting that last year’s “Halloween,” starring Jamie Lee Curtis and directed by David Gordon Green, went on to become the highest-grossing installment in the horror franchise at more than $250 million worldwide.
The first film will be titled “Halloween Kills” and open on Oct. 16, 2020. “Halloween Ends” will open a year later on Oct. 15, 2021.
Green will direct both films and Curtis will star.
Last year’s “Halloween” was the 11th installment in the franchise, five of which included Curtis, and a direct sequel to John Carpenter’s original 1978 movie. Nick Castle returns to portray the deranged Myers, who has escaped custody and heads for Haddonfield, Ill., for a final showdown with Strode on Halloween night.
The 2018 take, produced by Trancas International Films, Blumhouse, and Miramax, garnered some of the best reviews for a series entry yet.

Universal has confirmed that David Gordon Green and Danny McBride’s successful reincarnation of John Carpenter’s Halloween franchise from Blumhouse is indeed returning — with not one but two new films.
The studio said Friday that Halloween Kills will bow on October 16, 2020, and Halloween Ends, is set for October 15, 2021. Watch the video announcement below.
The continuation of the rebooted franchise featuring original star Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, her nemesis Michael Myers and the return of Carpenter in a key role had been tipped previously — a no-brainer after last year’s Green-direct pic directed became the highest-grossing installment in the horror franchise at $255.5 million worldwide.
Trancas International Films, Miramax and Blumhouse Productions return as producers, with Green and McBride set to write both new installments (the first along with Scott Teems and the second with Paul Brad Logan and Chris Bernier), all based on characters created by Carpenter and Debra Hill for the 1978 original.
