Oran Zegman is an Israeli filmmaker based in Los Angeles and an alumna of the esteemed American Film Institute.
Oran's artistic journey has been profoundly shaped by her strong background in theatre and dance. These early influences have infused her work with a unique sense of rhythm, movement, and the ability to capture the essence of human emotion on screen.
Oran made her feature debut with the critically acclaimed HONOR SOCIETY for Paramount + / Awesomeness Films , Angourie Rice (Mean Girls) and Gaten Matarazzo (Stranger Things). The New York Times raved: "Honor Society comes out of the gate flashing a formal and thematic sophistication so dazzling it might take you a while to realize it's actually a Young Adult movie."
On the TV side, Oran directed a block of episodes for the Paramount+ series SCHOOL SPIRITS starring Peyton List, which was recently picked up for a second season.
