- John Henry played Little League Baseball for four years at West Covina American and one year for Lafayette Little League in Northern California. He was an all around player of each position but mostly played Short Stop and 1st Base.
- John Henry Played Football for Burbank High School during his Freshman Year. He was an All-American Football Scholar recipient for 3 years in a row from the San Gabriel Valley Jr. All American Football Conference for the city of West Covina. His position included Center, Offensive Line and Defensive Line.
- John Henry's Great Great Great Grandfather Gurney Ward was one of the First American Photographers turned Gold Miner from New York originally from Sandwich,Kent (South-East England) that traveled and lived in Abilene,Texas. He played a significant role in the Quest for the Lost Spanish Gold and is featured in the books,"The Spider Rock Treasure...A Texas Mystery of Lost Spanish Gold" by Steve Wilson and "Abridged Notes of A Spider Rock Treasure Researcher & other History Events in Texas" by Bill Townsley. Recurrent lectures of the Spider Rock Treasure and stories of John Henry's Great Great Great Grandfather can be heard at The University of Oklahoma. Today, Treasure Hunters are still at large searching for the Spider Rock Treasure.
- John Henry's Great Great Aunt Jewel Aronson was employed by Mr.John Wayne(The Duke)as one of his Assistants.
- John Henry is a Martial Artist. He has a 2nd Degree BlackBelt in Tae Kwon Do with the American Tae Kwon Do Association, a 1st Degree Black Belt in Extreme Martial Arts with XMA. Action Choreography, Stunts and Weapons are his Specialty. Favorite Weapons are: Swords, Double Swords, Bo-Staffs and Nunchakus.
- John Henry has a long line of relatives both past and present in the US Military Service. John Ward (Great Great Uncle) served in the Civil War, Gurney Ward (Great Great Grandfather) served in WWII (Captured, Imprisoned and Rescued). Two Uncles served in Vietnam and three cousins serving for the US Marine Corp. Honored and Proud of them All.
- John Henry is a Member of "In Sync", Burbank High School's Premier ShowChoir Group (Vocal Music Association) that won the Tennessee National Grand Championship in 2017 and 2018: Won 2nd place at the International Grand National Championship in Canada. "In Synch" members compete throughout California and the United States in the Advanced Mixed Division. In Sync is well-known nationally, and is regularly ranked among the top 5 show choirs in the country- Burbank High School.
