Alert the downstairs staff: Princess Kate visited the set of Downton Abbey on Wednesday.
Kate, in a cream coat by British maternity line JoJo Maman Bebe, was welcomed to the historic Ealing Studios in West London by the show's creator, Lord Julian Fellowes.
She was presented with a posy by 4-year-old Zac Barker, who, along with twin brother Oliver, plays Lady Mary's son George.
In the hair and makeup department, Kate, 33, also met housekeeper Mrs. Hughes, played by Phyllis Logan, as she was made up by artist Nic Collins.
Also there? Robert James Collier, who plays the mean-spirited under-butler Thomas.

Mary, on the other hand, is more concerned about preventing children and sends Anna off to the chemist with a copy of Marie Stopes' "Married Love" and a request for some non-specified but era-appropriate contraception. Downstairs After last week's romp with Lady Anstruther, Jimmy leaves under a cloud and in at least five different patterns of tweed. He and Thomas have a touching goodbye, where Jimmy...

On Tuesday (July 22) evening, the Television Critics Association is going to get at least a taste of Season 5. Since the show is still in production, creator Julian Fellowes is absent, sending Gareth Neame in his stead. Similarly, much of the cast is shooting Across the Pond, but we've got Laura "Lady Edith" Carmichael, Michelle "Non-Stop" Dockery, Joanne "Anna" Froggatt and Allen "Branson" Leech. Click through and follow along with my live-blog. Don't expect too many spoilers. 7:15 p.m. We're' being strung along by an assortment of other "Masterpiece" productions, none of which is "Downton Abbey." 7:22 p.m. "I feel a-shaking of the ground I stand on,...
