Cameron Esposito has teamed up with Skittles as part of its Pride 2023 program, and the LGBTQ+ comedian and actor is also doing a special Pride-themed miniseries of her podcast. “They asked me to be involved,” Esposito tells TV Insider with a laugh. “I love that. We love to be approached by Skittles. Something I think that’s really special about this campaign and why I said yes is specifically what they do around the packaging, the Pride packaging. So instead of the traditional red Skittles bag that you and I both know from our entire lives, it’s these designs that are really beautiful, that are by LGBTQ+ artists.” She continues, “That’s really what I love about this because to me, in June, if we’re going to show advocacy as a brand, there are folks who put a rainbow on their Instagram, that’s fine. But hiring...

Farewell to our favorite friends from Boston!
Wednesday’s finale of “A Million Little Things,” titled “One Big Thing,” gives an emotional send-off to the glue that kept the friend group together: Gary (James Roday Rodriguez).
Two episodes prior to the finale, Gary learned that his cancer returned and was terminal. In an effort to be there for his and his now-wife, Maggie’s son, Javier, in case he didn’t make it, he began filming a series of videos. As the final episode begins, Gary (who is visibly at the end of his life) is prepared to say goodbye to the people he loves the most.
But not before he gives his best friends, Rome (Romany Malco) and Eddie (David Giuntoli), one final mission.
The show opens with Gary — who is battling stage 4 cancer, years after his initial breast cancer diagnosis — lying in his hospice bed in his house,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for A Million Little Things Season 5 Episode 12 “Tough Stuff.”] If you didn’t sob through the penultimate episode of A Million Little Things, including while Gary (James Roday Rodriguez) was making jokes throughout, you’re made of tougher stuff than we are. As feared, after coughing up blood during Katherine (Grace Park) and Greta’s (Cameron Esposito) wedding, Gary is dying. His cancer has spread to his other lung, and it’s no longer responding to treatment. “This will be a fight,” his doctor warns. And fight Gary tries. He gets chemo. He shaves his head. He gets worse and worse, and soon, it’s Javi’s first birthday. Javi gets his dad a T-shirt reading “The Original” to go with his “The Remix.” Gary cracks a joke about being down to a medium and soon needing to raid Theo’s closet. No one laughs. “You gotta at least let me...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for A Million Little Things Season 5 Episode 11 “Ironic.”] A Million Little Things, in one of its last episodes, celebrates love with a wedding that leads to a reunion. But “Ironic” also leaves off on a note that worries us that the series could end just like it started: with a funeral. Everything stems from Katherine (Grace Park) and Greta’s (Cameron Esposito) wedding, which doesn’t exactly go off without a hitch, thanks to bad weather. They get married, with Greta wearing Katherine’s father’s wedding tuxedo after a mishap (and they have to go from a ceremony on a boat to a redecorated nautical-themed bar). In other happier news (if you’re a fan of the couple), Eddie (David Giuntoli) and Delilah (Stephanie Szostak) reunite, thanks to a push from Gary (James Roday Rodriguez) and Maggie (Allison Miller). But it’s while Gary’s getting on Eddie’s case about Delilah,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the A Million Little Things Season 4 finale “Just in Case.”] A Million Little Things pulled the rug out from under us, with one reveal we’d expected and another that changed everything we thought about recent episodes. First of all, Anna (Erin Karpluk) did kill her ex-husband, Peter (Andrew Leeds) — the teacher who’s assaulted Sophie (Lizzy Greene) — albeit accidentally and was arrested after confessing. Meanwhile, Gary (James Roday Rodriguez) and Maggie (Allison Miller) found out they’re having a baby, but then Rome (Romany Malco) and Regina (Christina Moses) watched one of his videos and found out Gary has cancer. In happier news, Katherine (Grace Park) fixed things with Greta (Cameron Esposito). Executive producers DJ Nash and Terrence Coli break down the finale and tease what’s ahead. A sharp script, solid direction and an able crew give this classic mis-matched boy-girl story a satisfyingly fun sci-fi spin
This is a smarter-than-it-sounds sci-fi romcom, the kind Gen-z kids would presumably dig. It sends a seemingly mismatched boy-girl couple – poor, hapless but good-hearted Walt and super-competent but neurotic swot Sophie (Lana Condor from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) into space following their respective romantic partners who have already flown ahead to a much-coveted colony on Mars. So while the overall project is a heterosexual space-rom, along the way there are sprightly touches: thoughtful world-building; snarky jabs at billionaire space entrepreneurs (Zach Braff co-stars as a capricious Elon Muskian tech overlord); and a cute lesbian couple with commitment issues (Cameron Esposito and Sunita Deshpande).
Most welcome of all is the generous sprinkling of good one-liners thanks to screenwriter Max Taxe’s witty script, solid direction from Christopher Winterbauer,...

On March 11, comedian Jim Gaffigan was in Bogotá, Colombia, in the midst of his worldwide Pale Tourist tour when he received a call from his manager that Argentina was closing its borders in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, and his upcoming show there was canceled. He had a choice: fly to São Paulo,
Brazil, for his next appearance or go straight back to the United States in case borders started closing. He opted to go home to New York City, mainly because leaving his wife alone with their five kids “would be cruel,” he jokes. He performed his show that night and flew out the next day; hours later borders around the world began closing while edicts were issued for schools and businesses to shut down.
The same day Gaffigan decided to cancel, Mike Birbiglia was driving from Brooklyn to Buffalo for a show, already wary of traveling on an airplane.

Emmy-writing writer Mo Willems is bringing his work to the small screen. In a competitive situation, HBO Max has signed an exclusive, multi-year deal with Willems, establishing the beloved children’s author as HBO Max’s first artist in residence. As part of the two-year deal, HBO Max has acquired streaming rights to Willems’ first live-action special Don’t Let the Pigeon Do Storytime! from Greg Silverman’s Stampede Ventures, who will produce all additional content under the deal. HBO Max has committed to additional live-action Storytime specials, as well as multiple animated specials based on Willems’ wildly popular children’s books. The first animated special will be based on New York Times bestseller, Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed.
“Mo is a special talent with a profound ability to connect with children and families alike. We are so happy Mo and Stampede Ventures chose to partner with us at HBO Max,...

Well, I didn't see that coming.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine is known for its twisty endings, but this one totally caught me off guard.
New character Debbie Fogel threw us for a loop on Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 7 Episode 4.
Vanessa Bayer shines in the role, and I'm excited to see where this storyline's going to go.
Her monotone delivery of Debbie's absurd comments was fantastic to watch. With Gina gone, the show's been missing its mark with the delivery of some great one-liners, but Debbie might be giving Gina a run for her money.
Don't get me wrong, no one can replace her, but I found myself cracking up at her commentary. She's the perfect insecure foil to Gina's complete and utter confidence.
I'm sorry I messed things up. I'm just not cut out for this high-stakes world of having friends.

Updated: “Booksmart” director Olivia Wilde and stars Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein expressed shock and disappointment over news that an edited version of their film shown on an airline cut out the film’s lesbian sex scene.
“I don’t understand it,” Wilde told Variety’s Marc Malkin on the red carpet at the Academy’s Governors Awards on Sunday night. “There’s censorship, airline to airline, of films, which there must be some kind of governing board to determine. We rate it a certain way. If it’s not X-rated, surely it’s acceptable on an airplane.”
She continued, “There’s insane violence of bodies being smashed in half and yet a love scene between two women is censored from the film. It’s such an integral part of this character’s journey. I don’t understand it. My heart just broke. I’m trying to get to the...
