Benjamin Adgate

Benjamin Adgate is an American composer, songwriter, orchestrator,
lyricist, arranger, engraver, as well as performer in the academic and
professional realms. He is a graduate of the Wanda L. Bass School of
Music at Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Music in
composition.
As a composer in New York City, Dallas, and Oklahoma City, his credits have included numerous premieres of new works ranging from the classical chamber, choral, opera, pop, and musical theatre realms. Benjamin has also been privately commissioned to write art songs and done extensive copyist work professionally. He has trained in composition with Dr. Edward Knight and Lendell Black, violin with John Arnold and Shana Druffner, voice with Jeffrey Picon, and piano with Claudia Carroll-Phelps. While at Oklahoma City University, Benjamin was an active member of Project 21, and his various compositional works were presented and performed by undergraduate and graduate students across various concentrations.
