- Denise Donatelli is voted in the top ten, making her entry debut at number seven of the 61st Annual DownBeat Magazine Critics Poll: Rising Star Female Jazz Vocalists. (August 2013).
- The Los Angeles Jazz Society has honored Denise with the 2012 Jazz Vocalist of the Year award. Voting advisor's include John Clayton, Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones and Johnny Mandel.
- Her 2010 release "When Lights are Low" received two Grammy® Nominations, one for Best Jazz Vocal Album and another for Best Arrangement Accompanying a Vocalist for pianist and collaborator Geoffrey Keezer's arrangement of "Don't Explain.".
- Donatelli's 2010 release "When Lights Are Low" peaked at #2 on The Jazz Week Radio Chart where it remained for 23 weeks. It resurfaced 28 weeks later and remained for another 7 weeks, receiving two Grammy nominations, one for Best Jazz Vocal Album.
- Donatelli sings the title track for The Simpsons episode YOLO, "You Only Live Twice", parody from James Bond. Given single card credit, which aired November 10, 2013.
