Spoiler Alert: The following story contains details from Wednesday’s Season 8 finale of The Flash.
In tonight’s Season 8 finale of The Flash, titled “Negative, Part Two,” the superhero otherwise known as Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) once again finds himself at war with his longtime foe Reverse-Flash (Tom Cavanagh), also confronting the prospect that he may have been tricked into killing Iris (Candice Patton).
While Reverse-Flash has been resurrected by the negative forces, who are looking to turn the tables as far as the balance of the universe, Iris is nowhere to be found, after Deon (Christian Magby) put her in the way of Flash’s lightning.

Reverse-Flash is alive and kicking… and gloating, frankly, about his and the Negative Forces’ role in Iris West-Allen’s tragic death, in this exclusive sneak peek from The Flash‘s Season 8 finale (airing tonight on The CW).
When last we tuned in, The Flash (played by Grant Gustin) had done a major lap around town before hurling a massive bolt of lightning toward the Negative Forces (played by Christian Magby, Ennis Esmer and Sara Garcia) who had been playing havoc with his life and one true love. But just before the bolt hit, Iris (Candice Patton) was transported from 2049 to the present,...

If The Flash left your head spinning with its many recent reveals — including Tom Cavanagh’s Thawne being nested inside of Matt Letscher’s, eww — the Season 8 finale will connect many (if not all) dots.
Flash showrunner Eric Wallace tells TVLine that when the episode “Negative, Part Two” arrives on Wednesday at 8/7c, “There’s a little bit at the top” in which Cavanagh’s Eobard Thawne aka Reverse-Flash sheds light on how Iris’ tragic death (at an unwitting Barry’s hand!) breathed new life and speed into the recently departed sinister speedster.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Flash Season 8 Episode 19 “Negative, Part 1.” So if you haven’t watched yet, how the hell do you expect to help us save Iris?!] The Flash pulled a fast one on us tonight! In the first hour of their two-part season finale, we saw Still Force host Deon (Christian Magby) drain the power from villainous Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanagh), who was being held captive in an Argus prison. Like, all the way down to a husk of a human. It looked like we were finally rid of the Reverse-Flash for good. But then, in the hour’s final moments, we got the twist! While battling Deon and his Negative Speed squad, the O.G. good-guy Thawne (Matt Letscher), now loaded with Speed Force abilities from his boss Fast Track, aka Dr. Meena Dhawan (Kausar Mohammed), started to scream in agony. Before we could say “Wait, is he tearing off his face?...

Exclusive: Christian Magby (The Flash) has been tapped as a lead opposite Demi Lovato in NBC’s single-camera comedy pilot Hungry, starring and executive produced by Lovato. Hungry comes from Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner’s Hazy Mills, Sb Projects and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
Written and executive produced by Suzanne Martin, Hungry follows a group of friends who belong to a food-issues group helping one another as they look for love, success and the perfect thing in the fridge that’s going to make it all better.
Lovato’s Teddy is a talented food stylist who wants to have a healthy relationship with food and date men who are good for Teddy — but, like so many of us, it’s a struggle.
Magby will play Jared, the support group’s leader and creator. He is fit, positive and at ease with his body – everything everyone...

Christian Magby and Lance Reddick in "One Night in Miami"
You know where I am if you need me.
We're finally closing out our 2020 coverage. Five months into the calendar year. We'd say 'Oops' but in this one case we'll happily blame the Oscars pretending that the calendar wasn't the calendar rather than our own sometimes-lacking time management skills. Though we are excited to move on to 2021, in point of fact lists and awards are our happy place. That is not because they have inherent definitive value as arbiters of quality (as the naysayers like to remind). No, that's not it at all. Only time is the definitive tastemaker but even that is fallible since it never stops and collective opinion can shift dramatically from generation to generation just as it does from person to person. No we value and love lists and awards because they are...

The Flash is about to come face to face again with the Strength Force — though this time around, “Fuerza” will look a lot more like Reign‘s Sara Garcia.
TVLine can exclusively confirm that Garcia will make her debut in the CW series’ Tuesday, May 4 episode as Alexa Rivera, a social aid health worker who is working hard to overcome a dark past as she helps the underprivileged in Central City. But when Alexa uncovers a mysterious connection to the all-powerful Strength Force, she becomes Team Flash’s “most dangerous threat yet.”

There are Forces to be reckoned with, The Flash made crystal clear in this Tuesday’s episode — kicking off, in earnest, the “cool, fun” comic book storyline that Grant Gustin previously teased.
Gustin had told TVLine that, a short time after the Mirrorverse storyline ends, “We’re going to see something that’s from an arc in the comic books, with a handful of different Forces” akin to the Speed Force from which Barry draws his own meta powers. “It’s a cool storyline that we explore for a stretch of episodes, and the actors that they got to portray...

After directing multiple TV episodes, Regina King makes her big-screen directing debut with Amazon’s “One Night in Miami.” Kemp Powers adapted his play about a 1963 meeting of Jim Brown, Cassius Clay (before he became Muhammad Ali), Sam Cooke and Malcolm X. King paid tribute to her colleagues behind the camera, saying, “They were my heroes.”

“Tami and I connected immediately. Even when I didn’t have a technical word for what I was looking for, she understood. For example, so much takes place in one motel room, and I didn’t want it to feel like a play; I wanted it to feel light and with an energy that matches the performances. And for me, color is a great way to represent Black people. In our sordid past as Americans, we still found a way to laugh and love, and color represents that vivaciousness. But I...

"You need to understand what is at stake here." Amazon Prime Video has debuted a second official trailer for One Night in Miami, the outstanding film marking the narrative directorial debut of actress Regina King. What happens when Cassius Clay, Malcolm X, Jim Brown, and Sam Cooke all find themselves in the same room? This is a fictional account of an evening in Miami in the 1960s, bringing together four greats who talk about their life and their accomplishments. Starring Eli Goree as Cassius Clay (aka Muhammad Ali), Kingsley Ben-Adir as Malcolm X, Leslie Odom Jr. as Sam Cooke, Aldis Hodge as Jim Brown; along with Lance Reddick, Christian Magby, Joaquina Kalukango, and Nicolette Robinson. This premiered to rave reviews at the Venice, Toronto, and New York Film Festivals last year, and it's one of my favorites. Expecting this to end up with tons of awards & noms this season. Available on Prime Video soon.

The power behind Regina King’s directorial debut (adapted by Kemp Powers from his own play) One Night in Miami… is epitomized by an exchange between Malcolm X (Kingsley Ben-Adir) and Jim Brown (Aldis Hodge) a little more than halfway through. It’s the night their friend Cassius Clay (Eli Goree) became the surprise heavyweight-boxing champion of the world and the two are alone in the former’s hotel room while the Champ chases down the fourth member of their quartet, Sam Cooke (Leslie Odom Jr.), after he stormed out frustration. The conversation moves from colorism to the motivations for their actions straight into the notion of duty within the civil rights movement. Malcolm sees his friends as leaders armed with the voices and platforms to shift the tide.
So when Jim rejects labeling their talents as weapons, Malcolm can’t help but implore him to rethink his stance. He...
