King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s (formerly known as Camilla Parker Bowles) coronation took place on May 6. The royal family gathered again the following day for a special Coronation concert. Prince William and the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) attended the event with Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
A video from the concert has been making the rounds and many royal watchers were quick to point out that William did not bow to Camilla when she walked in front of him to get to her seat. Now, a body language is weighing in and thinks the prince choosing not to do so could “subconsciously” have something to do with his late mother Princess Diana.

Blake Lively has the same cheeky sense of humour as her husband Ryan Reynolds.
The actress was on hand to support Reynolds at Wrexham A.F.C’s Racecourse Ground over the weekend when she stopped to greet fans in the crowd.
Reynolds owns the Welsh soccer club with Rob McElhenney.
As Lively walked around the pitch, one person asked her if she could say hi to his girlfriend Stephanie.
The “Gossip Girl” star cheekily quipped, “Hi Stephanie. You should leave him.”
Stephs cried happiness and she’s absolutely over the moon.. Luckily she hasn’t broke up with me! thanks again @blakelively @stephaniexcxc pic.twitter.com/RGzA5tYbyS

Robert Plant proved to be the perfect singer for Led Zeppelin. His powerful pipes served the group well on their heaviest songs, yet he could sing tactfully on the band’s delicate songs. Led Zeppelin proved to be the perfect band for Plant as he earned a surprising non-musical job that helped him live out a childhood fantasy.

Led Zeppelin burst onto the music scene in 1969, and Plant went along for the ride. It didn’t take him long to understand it would be a rocket ship ride. Plant realized Zep might be something special at one of the band’s first U.S. concerts.
He was somewhat lucky to earn a spot in the band. Founding guitarist Jimmy Page eyed another singer, Terry Reid, to be the frontman. Reid turned...

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively love poking fun at one another on social media.
Reynolds was pictured at his team Wrexham Fc’s Fa Cup match against Sheffield United on Sunday alongside his daughter James, 8.
The Canadian actor, who owns the club with Rob McElhenney, definitely got stuck in to the match, which ended up being a 3-3 draw, with his facial reactions revealing just how excited he was to be there.

The Lego Batman Movie is fast approaching… well, no, it’s not… it’s far away, but there’s no imagery to keep you from getting depressed, and it shows off vehicles.
It isn’t really anything all that new, because it’s just something we saw in the Comic-Con trailer (see below), but it has more BatFrigates than any other image we’ve seen before, and that’s something.
As I said, it’s still oh so far away, hitting February 10th, so we have to take what we can get.
Mark your calendar, and have fun with this.
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The Lego® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – Lego Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover,...

Jerseys, uniforms, strips, kits. They’re called different things in different places, but they serve the same purpose across all sports. They create an identity and for some sports teams, help them become a recognisable brand worldwide. There is not a country on Earth which isn’t home to at least one Manchester United shirt, surely!?
When done right they can become iconic. Think of Real Madrid’s all white home kit, New York Yankee’s pinstripes, Green Bay Packers’ green and yellow or Chicago Bulls red and black and you immediately remember some of the greatest sports jerseys of all time. It’s quite easy to make a great jersey, bold colours and simple designs tend to be loved by sports fans, meaning that in theory it would be hard to get them so wrong.
Like many theories however, in practice the reality is much farther from the truth.

Let’s face it – Sunderland aren’t renowned for being a well-oiled goal machine. The Premier League strugglers have been clinging on for dear life in recent seasons, and face another fight in the coming months to remain in England’s top flight.
In spite of their struggles, however, there have been a few bright moments on Wearside in recent years. We’ve witnessed the Peter Reid (sort of) glory years, the promotion push under Roy Keane, mid-table stability under Steve Bruce and the Capital One Cup final under Gus Poyet. Clutching at straws, you say? Not at all…
Sunderland fans love a cult hero, and they love a prolific goalscorer – they just rarely get one. Several players have threatened to step up to icon status during the Premier League era (many of them are in this piece), though less than a handful are now held in high regard by Sunderland fans.

The Football League has existed for 128 years and at its peak in the early 1990s was the home of 93 clubs. Since 1992, the establishment of the Premier League has reduced the league to the three divisions between the second and fourth tier of English football.
Regardless of its current status, the long history of the Football League means it has been home to some of the most successful teams in world history. Teams like Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool have lifted the Football League trophy and such teams are synonymous with the image of the world’s oldest football league.
Not all teams which have played in the Football League have the same prestige as the above teams, however. Even in the days before automatic relegation for the bottom teams in the fourth tier, teams joined and left professional football quickly, meaning that the teams which make...

Newcastle United have completed the signing of Seydou Doumbia on loan until the end of the season, subject to the player receiving the appropriate visa.
The Ivory Coast international is United’s fourth signing of a successful January transfer window – following Jonjo Shelvey, Henri Saivet and Andros Townsend to St James’ Park – and could join on a permanent deal in the summer for a fee of around £7 million.
The 28-year-old, who scored an impressive 66 goals in 108 league games for Cska Moscow, signed for Italian side Roma last January in a deal worth a reported £11.9 million. However, after making only 14 appearances for i Giallorossi, he was loaned back to Russia at the start of the 2015/16 season.
Now, he’ll be looking to spearhead a Magpies attack that has missed a number of gilt-edged opportunities over the festive period that has left them two points adrift in the Premier League relegation battle.

It’s January. It’s the transfer window. It’s yet another painful slog at the halfway mark for Sunderland Afc. Some things will never change, the sooner you accept this, the easier it will become.
Sunderland fans have every right to be cynical as they watch Bournemouth and Newcastle splash enormous money on signings that will surely boost their odds of survival, but at the same time, there’s a slight air of calm around the club. This is not a new situation, and with Villa rooted to the bottom of the league and safety within touching distance, this isn’t the most perilous position the Black Cats have found themselves in.
Jan Kirchhoff and Damal N’Doye (subject to a medical) are Sam Allardyce’s first two signings of the window, but you’d expect more incoming and outgoing transfers between now and the end of the window.

Being hard as nails isn’t a prerequisite to playing professional football on Merseyside, but it certainly helps, regardless of whether you happen to bleed red or blue.
Everton have had more than their fair share of bruisers over the years, fearsome characters who never shied away from a leg-biting tackle, gave the opposition nightmares, and made Goodison Park recoil and cheer in equal measure.
Roberto Martinez’s current Toffees squad is a far cry from Joe Royle’s ‘Dogs of War’, dedicated to a style of play that’s easier on the eye, but the no-holds-barred mentality of Muhamed Besic and Ramiro Funes Mori harks back to the combative days of old.
The Goodison faithful have always loved a crunching challenge and a fiery scrapper who’s willing to give his right nut for the team, and with this in mind, here are the top...

Pavel Srnicek’s untimely passing at the age of 47 on Tuesday may have left you asking ‘who?’ Maybe you’re too young to understand what he did for Newcastle United and what he means to the city in general.
If that is the case, there’s no need to take to Wikipedia and the like as that sentence pretty much sums up all you need to know. And, he wasn’t too shabby on the pitch either…

West Bromwich Albion have enquired over the possibility of taking Arsenal right-back Mathieu Debuchy on loan to the Hawthorns in the January transfer window.
The Daily Mail (via Tribal Football) reports that Debuchy is eager to leave the Emirates Stadium in next month’s transfer window to give him a chance of gaining a place in France’s Euro 2016 Championships squad.
Having endured a lengthy spell on the sidelines, Debuchy lost his place in Arsenal’s first-team to impressive young Spaniard Hector Bellerin and has found his pitch time severely limited this season. A move away looks to be his only option to make his way into France boss Didier Deschamps’ plans.

It’s not often that I write a list where it’s harder to condense ideas rather than devise them but creating a feature involving unsuccessful players at Newcastle United is as simple as getting Brendan Rodgers to talk about himself.
The sorting process is relatively simple. You just have to ask three questions. Did the player play during Kevin Keegan’s 1995-96 or Bobby Robson’s 2001-04? Is the player Alan Shearer? Were they part of Alan Pardew’s remarkable fifth place finish in 2011-12? Right, now if the answer is no for each then they were probably a Tyneside failure.
Obviously there are a few exceptions (Antoine Sibierski for starters): a handful of players have escaped the shame of being placed on this list as my warm heart believes they were either poorly managed or not really expected to be any good in the first place.

Getting a name printed onto a football shirt is a sacred ordeal that not only spices up your favourite jersey but also defines you as a person. Nothing summarises a human-being more than the identify they choose to adopt while wearing their teams’ colours.
Some will choose a goalscorer leaving them exposed on the terraces as an arrogant, self-proclaimed-messiah-wannabe while others will select a creative number seven or strongman five. One category remains: The customisation game. You know who you are… the folk who believe that despite there being 320 players per top flight league, they simply aren’t shirt-worthy and decide that “Who 8 All The Pies” is what they’re looking for.

Newcastle United and Manchester United go way back. Even though they couldn’t possibly be further apart in terms of league positioning following the 2014/15 Barclays Premier League campaign, both are huge clubs in England and are on par in terms of heritage and tradition.
There was a time, believe it or not, when the two sides were the best in the land and battling it out for the Premier League title as every single Geordie dreamed their way through a fantastic period in the club’s history. It was business as usual for Sir Alex Ferguson’s men, as that ‘been there done that’ know how gave them the edge while The Magpies lost their heads.
Newcastle famously found themselves 12 points clear of the Red Devils in the title race only to see the league trophy snatched from their grasp in one of the most shocking turnarounds in football history.

Newcastle famously found themselves 12 points clear of the Red Devils in the title race only to see the league trophy snatched from their grasp in one of the most shocking turnarounds in football history.

Jermaine Jenas is adamant he made the “right decision” in choosing Newcastle United over the more “glamorous” option of Manchester United back in February 2002.
Then an 18-year-old at Nottingham Forest, the former England midfielder claims he had £5 million offers on the table from both Leeds United and the Magpies, as well as a £2 million bid from Man Utd.
With then-Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson telling the midfielder he should move to Old Trafford because it was “an honour” to play for the Red Devils, Jenas instead decided to head to St James’ Park in order to feature week-in, week-out for Newcastle as Sir Bobby Robson had promised him he would.

It’s hardly breaking news, but Glasgow Rangers have been in financial peril for the last 5 years or so. Going back even further than that, Alec McLeish was barely afforded a transfer budget during his last few seasons in charge. Right before Paul Le Guen took charge of the Glasgow giants in 2006, there wasn’t a whole lot of big signings for Gers fans to shout about.
Thankfully, it looks like things are starting to get sorted out. Fans of Glasgow Rangers haven’t really been given the chance to simply enjoy their football for years now, but there are hopes that the current regime will change that fact. One of the biggest support bases in world football is something Rangers can boast, and those people deserve to be excited by their club.

Glasgow Rangers have been around for 143 years. A Scottish football institution, the Glasgow giants have been jousting for supremacy in the Scottish game with rivals Celtic seemingly since the dawn of time. Throughout the club’s illustrious and successful history, there have been literally hundreds of memorable players.
This list aims to look 10 of the most notable for an entirely different reason. Even though many were heralded at the time for being part of trophy-winning squads, they’re often not recalled quite as fondly as others. This article aims to give these men the credit they deserve, whilst also explaining the key roles they played at Ibrox.
In the interest of detail, only the modern era will be taken into consideration here. That largely means players from the 1990’s and onwards, although it’s fair to say that Rangers have had unsung heroes throughout their entire history.

Before Mark Warburton and David Weir were installed as the manager and assistant manager respectively of Glasgow Rangers recently, there were a number of candidates linked with the job. Sadly for interim boss Stuart McCall, there didn’t really seem to be much interest from the current board to keep him in the hot seat, even though he did an admirable job with a terribly inadequate playing squad to even reach the Scottish Premiership Playoff Final.
McCall somewhat rescued a dire season for Rangers, a club who failed to win promotion to the top flight following a dismal start to the campaign under Ally McCoist. After that particular playing legend had left, Kenny McDowall was tasked with turning the Gers into winners, something he simply couldn’t achieve. Looking like a frightened baby rabbit, McDowall was the nail in the coffin for the previous regime, and fans demanded change.

It’s fair to say that the sun isn’t shining quite as brightly as it once did over Ibrox Stadium, home of Glasgow Rangers. Financial peril and gross mis-management from top level executives has left Rangers fans fearing the worst over the past few years, always looking over their shoulder at what may be looming behind them.
Make no mistake about it, Rangers have been in real trouble over the past number of seasons, not only off the field, but also struggling to do their fantastic history justice, on it. The verdict is in, the crop of players who plied their trade at the club over season 2014-2015 were simply not good enough, never coming close to the standards set by squads of the past.
In short, Rangers fans deserve better, and without a good core playing staff, there’s absolutely no chance the club...

Newcastle United legend Rob Lee claims the club have slipped so far behind their Premier League competitors that they must spend “at least” £100 million this summer in order to catch up.
The 49-year-old also believes Alan Pardew saw the Magpies’ relegation battle “coming” – and that’s why he departed for Crystal Palace at the turn of the year.
A massive squad overhaul is expected at St James’ Park if the club manages to secure their top-flight future – with players departing and others arriving. John Carver’s men have lost seven Premier League matches in a row for the first time in the club’s history and sit just five points above the relegation zone.
But former Magpies midfielder Lee, who scored 56 goals in 379 appearances during 10 seasons on Tyneside, does not think the sort of money spent by the club last summer will be anywhere near enough to...

With their fifth win in a row last weekend and their best start to a top flight season in 92 years, Southampton are currently flying high in second place in the Premier League. This sort of form has not always been the case for the South coast club, for whom there have been times that carving out a single win by this point in the season was something of a struggle. In fact there have been plenty of ups and downs to the Saints Premier League story.
A founder member of the Premier League having been a regular top half finisher during the 1980s, Southampton spent their early years in the new top flight fighting against relegation before they finally dropped out in 2005 after 27 years in the top division. Administration and further relegation followed before the team bounced back under new owners and, in their third year back in the Premier League,...

Sometimes it’s hard to take the published “advice” of Sunderland fans seriously when it comes to Newcastle United. Chris Waddle proved as much recently when he wrongly stated that Newcastle fans should accept Alan Pardew because he was as good as we could expect, as a mid-table club.
But Steve Howey is a different matter altogether. The former Toon defender – a self-confessed Sunderland fan – has said today that Newcastle should pay attention to the lessons offered by the Black Cats’ almost successful cup runs last season.
While Newcastle have pointed out “research” that any team outside the top six will immediately get relegated if they win a cup (as with Birmingham City and Wigan), or even make the final (Middlesbrough, Portsmouth, Brighton, Leicester and Man City), Howey says the cup run last year helped Poyet’s side survive.

Southampton may be riding high in the Premier League right now under new manager Ronald Koeman, but Saints fans have had got used to never being too settled. After Ted Bates (“Mr. Southampton”) and his protege-successor Lawrie McMenemy built the team up through the 1960s, 70s and 80s, establishing Saints as a top flight club, winning the Fa Cup and finishing as high as second in the league over a thirty year period in which they were the club’s only managers, the thirty years since have been far less stable.
In that time 24 managers have passed through the doors of The Dell and latterly the St. Mary’s Stadium, including three in as many years recently. Those thirty years have been something of a rollercoaster of success and failure with both types of manager often leaving as quickly as they arrived.

Everton are one of the most successful teams to have played in England’s top league, having been one of the Football League’s founder members all the way back in 1888. The club has competed in the top division for a record 110 seasons and have won the League Championship nine times, which is a pretty impressive haul for any football club.
However, since the formation of the Premier League in 1992, the club has not been as successful as the fan base would like having struggled financially throughout that period and the early 2000s. The club won their last trophy in an Fa Cup success under Joe Royal in 1995, but the resurgence under David Moyes and more recently Roberto Martinez has left fans hopeful of success returning once more.

After going 27 years with Sir Alex Ferguson at the helm of Manchester United, the Lancashire club have since had three different managers in charge in the last six months. And times have been particularly turbulent.
Due to Ferguson’s success in longevity, United hadn’t ever really entertained the idea of bringing in another manager during his reign, but the Scottish coach did make a number of resignation threats due to his advancing age and past health problems, and no matter how false they proved in the end, it did mean that some planning should have been done in the long-term.
Those threats of retirement did lead to some high-profile managers being linked with the potential vacancy down the years as a replacement for Ferguson, but with no movement ever made, the ridiculously successful manager remained in charge until his retirement at the end of the 2012/13 season.

We live in a world where stacks of cash, neatly rolled into a tight ball can be rolled across the table, and exchanged for the services of a footballer’s services. What is not for certain, however, is whether the talented player arrives with a decree of professionalism and honour. Those are traits that simply can’t be bought. So, while Manchester City may be bank-rolled by a private equity company from the United Arab Emirates, they still can’t escape the pitfalls that plague the more financially-challenged clubs, when entering the transfer market.
Especially with Abu Dhabi’s pumping of funds into the club in 2008, there was always going to be a danger of the club enticing the wrong sort of professional – epitomized by one particular ‘superstar’ who seemed to care more about the figures on the salary than he did about the name on the jersey.

In the decade since Roman Abramovich bought Chelsea football club, the Russian has brought no fewer than 77 players to Stamford Bridge at a staggering cost of £819 million.
The cash-flushed oligarch has certainly not been shy about opening his well-thumbed chequebook to bring some of the world’s best footballers to SW6, and for the most part his spending offensive has paid off, with the London club winning their first league title since 1955 under his ownership in 2005, before building on that by winning the Champions League in 2012.
Abramovich’s sheer spending power has helped the Blues blow their competition out of the water in recent transfer windows to ensure world class targets are acquired, but every now and then the 47-year-old billionaire has been left with egg on his face. For every Frank Lampard there has been an Andriy Schevchenko and for every Ashley Cole there has been an Adrian Mutu.

The disappointing 2-1 defeat suffered at the hands of Italy in England’s opening World Cup fixture has made this evening’s clash with Uruguay all the more nerve-racking. Should tonight’s results go a certain way, England could be out of the competition, it is as simple as that.
The nation’s fretful mind-set wasn’t helped yesterday, when tournament favourites and reigning champions Spain were eliminated from this year’s World Cup. The Spaniards endured back-to-back defeats in their opening two fixtures ensuring that they wouldn’t be advancing any further in the competition, and subsequently making it abundantly clear that reputation alone does not assure success in 2014.
However, with the World Cup comes an overwhelming togetherness and national pride - an emotion so strong that it can see a Tottenham fans scream with sheer joy at the sight of an Arsenal player smashing...

Ask anyone of a certain age that claims to be a football fan, and they would probably tell you their biggest pet peeve with the modern game is the way footballers act when they’ve been tackled. “It never used to be like that”, they’ll say, and actually, they’re pretty spot on. Modern day football and the game back in the 1960s and 70s seem like two completely different games, and in fact, it is only in the last 10 years or so that modern footballers have begun to garner this horrific reputation of acting like Olympic divers.
Way back when, football was an unbelievably different game out on the field. Bone-crunching tackles were incredibly common, and it wasn’t unusual to see a game without any yellow or red cards being issued – even if the tackles were flying in from all angles.

The Lego Movie is fast approaching, and a new set of images have been released that show off… well, a lot of Batman mostly, but some interesting points along other lines as well. It’s an odd assortment of film stills actually, which makes it a bit more fun than normal, because some of them just look like someone playing with Legos and taking pictures.
It’s a bit surprising how much this one is taking off when it comes to the general chatter around the internet, and how much of a marketing push it’s getting. Is this one high on your list of upcoming movies? Or, cynic that you are, is this one rubbing you the wrong way?
Either way, take a look at what you have in store for you.

The Lego Movie, the first-ever, full-length theatrical Lego® adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures, opens in theaters February 7, 2014.
Directed by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller (“21 Jump Street,” “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”), this brand new trailer for The Lego Movie stars Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie and Charlie Day, with Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman.
The original 3D computer animated story follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average Lego minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world.
