Eiichiro Oda’s magnum opus One Piece stands as a monumental figure in the anime and manga industry for featuring a rich and captivating story with vibrant characters with a mysterious past. Oda-Sensei’s world has been ravaged by pirates on the hunt for the legendary treasure which happens to be the same name as the show. It has been 27 years since the first chapter of the Shonen series which was published in 1997, none has managed to find it.
Monkey D. Luffy in One Piece
Even though none of the pirates could come close to finding the overzealous treasure, a number of fan theories have surfaced regarding the ultimate treasure or the series’ plot and its character. This one fan theory for Oda-Sensei’s Shonen series follows how Monkey D. Luffy’s father was the former Admiral Shiroryu.

During the Paris Fan Festival, Taz Skylar, the actor cast to portray Sanji in Netflix’s One Piece Live-Action series, opened up about the initial wave of negative comments he faced on social media following the casting announcement.
During the festival’s Q/A session, Taz recounted his very first exposure to criticism and it was around the time when the One Piece casting news came out. He revealed that his friends informed him that his name was trending on Twitter alongside references to his resemblance to rapper Eminem.
“The best way to get me to do something is tell me I can’t do it,” Skylar stated, revealing that rather than being deterred by the negative feedback, he found motivation in the challenge. “I remember I laughed because I was like, you know what, they have a point. I do kind of look a little bit like Em,” he added.

One Piece’s live-action announcement was certainly surprising. Given the history of live-action movies and series, especially in the anime genre, fans initially had their expectations low, and there was a general belief that the Netflix series would be another disappointment.

Yet, surprisingly and fortunately, the series was an immense success. Not only did the series remain true to the source, but it was the casting and actors who stole the spotlight. While actors like Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, and others impressed fans with their talents, Taz Skylar as Sanji stole the show, with many fans declaring his Sanji better than the anime’s version. In a recent appearance, the actor revealed how the negative comments regarding his casting really pushed him to the extreme.

Welcome to this week’s review of Tna Wrestling, we’re dealing with the fallout of the Rebellion pay-per-view this week, so let’s get straight into the review and see what went down…
Match #1: Mike Santana def. Myron Reed The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
The match began with Wentz causing a distraction, allowing Myron Reed to gain the upper hand on Santana. Santana quickly turned the tables, delivering multiple running clotheslines to Reed. Reed showcased his speed with a kip-up and a back kick, followed up with a Lung Blower. As Reed attempted his signature flying cutter, Santana countered with a “Rolling Buck 50,” then eliminated the rest of the Rascalz with a spectacular dive. Santana then clinched the victory with a powerful roaring clothesline.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Josh Alexander def. Frankie Kazarian The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:

Anna Gunn is simply stunning in the recently released Apple TV series, Sugar. Not only does the actress do an incredible job, but it seems refreshing to see her once again on the screen, for it has been a while since she was last seen there. It was the script of the Colin Farrell-starrer series that eventually made her say yes to the show.
Breaking Bad
While she enjoyed working along with Farrell and the rest of the talented cast, the set also turned into a small impromptu reunion with her Breaking Bad cast and crew. In a recent interview, while discussing the said reunion, the actress also made some remarks about the hate she received for her Breaking Bad character and how people’s perception of Skyler has changed.

Netflix’s live-action adaptation of the popular anime and manga series, One Piece, has been a big hit. It has managed to do something that many fans thought would be impossible.
One Piece features a unique setting, weird and colorful characters, and amazing fight scenes. And bringing that to life in a live-action format was always going to be a huge challenge, especially since Netflix has not had much success with other anime adaptations in the past.
Sanji in One Piece live action
But there are a few reasons why this One Piece live-action has worked so well. First, the creator of the original One Piece manga, Eiichiro Oda, was closely monitoring the making of live-action. But another key factor was the casting of the main Straw Hat crew. The actors who played those characters have been absolutely perfect.

The One Piece Live-Action has excelled in almost every aspect of creating a successful anime adaptation. The series has got the best of every world, be it editing or storyline, but the cast was the main thing it got just right. The actors who portrayed the roles of One Piece characters, especially the Straw Hat crew are one of the most important reasons why the series became such a huge success.
Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Jacob Romero as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, and Emily Rudd as Nami were perfect in their character portrayals.

Taz Skylar, the actor who played Vinsmoke Sanji in One Piece live-action season one has recently been getting a lot of love and appreciation from One Piece and anime fans as the actor is preparing extensively for his character in the second season. He has been posting his progress on Instagram and fans are encouraging him.
Taz Skylar as Sanji
His performance in season 1 was one of the best portrayals as he fit perfectly for the character of the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates. He not only looked the part, but he even performed his stunts and prepared for it physically which was a big thing for him as he had little experience in terms of combat and stunts.
However, there was one stunt in the One Piece live-action series season 1 that Skylar considered to be the most difficult stunt and because of that, it was almost removed from the series.

Netflix’s One Piece Live Action has become a massive hit after a couple of weeks of its release. Initially, fans thought it would turn out to be a failure, considering Netflix’s failed venture in the live adaptations of anime. But with Eiichiro Oda’s involvement, the executives had no margin for error, and watching season one’s massive success, Netflix renewed it for another season.
Monkey D. Luffy’s journey to become the King of the Pirates is more difficult than it sounds. He needs to acquire a few loyal allies who would aid them in his journey. On top of that, he cannot fulfill his dream on an empty stomach. For that, he recruited Vinsmoke Sanji to be his crew’s chef. Like the anime, the actors in the live-action are very good friends in real life.

Never Rarely Sometimes Always Photo: Courtesy of Sundance Institute Never Rarely Sometimes Always, 11.15pm, BBC2, Monday, February 6 Eliza Hittman's restrained and affecting consideration of teenage pregnancy and abortion feels, if anything, even more relevant in the wake of changes in US law than it did when it premiered in Sundance in 2020. We follow 17-year-old Autumn (Sidney Flannigan) as she travels from a small town in Pennsylvania to New York with her cousin Skylar (Talia Ryder) after finding she is pregnant, to try to get an abortion. Hittman zeroes in on the almost casual dangers that Autumn and Skylar face on their trip, with both young actresses impressively communicating the complexity of their characters. HIttman'sclear-sighted and unfussy approach helps her point to hit home all the harder. Read our interview with Eliza Hittman and Sidney Flannigan.
