Exclusive: Terrence Howard (The Best Man: The Final Chapters) is set to star opposite Kevin Hart and Samuel L. Jackson in the Peacock limited series Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist.

‘It’s time for change,” former Empire star Terrence Howard said today announcing he is suing CAA over allegedly screwing him financially over the hip hop soap’s blockbuster six season run. “We need accountability. We need access. We need to be able to share in the profits.”
In a press conference Friday at the office of The Cochran Firm, Howard accused his former agency of engaging in a lucrative packaging deal with the show’s creators and producers Imagine. Consequently, according to Howard and his legal team, the actor was bilked of “a much higher salary given the success of the show.”
“I trusted CAA to look after me, and they looked after themselves.”
At its height, the Taraij P. Henson co-starrer series hauled in around $100 million in advertising for Fox, this new lawsuit claims. Money that Howard thinks he helped generate in his on-screen role as ruthless hip-hop mogul Lucious Lyon.

Aiming to change or at least compliment how artists get their foot in the door, Terrence Howard and Mira Howard are launching a talent discovery platform known as Holly.
The Academy Award-nominated actor alongside his ex-wife and current business partner are hoping to even the playing field for those lacking industry connections who still wish to pursue professional arts. The platform aims to be an inclusive and all-encompassing place for artists to share their reels, auditions and related work product for those doing the hiring, while also presenting opportunities for intermingling among folks within different parts of the overall creative community.
“Hollywood is in serious need of a shakeup, and Holly is the answer to a more collaborative environment where we partner with agencies, studios and other industry players to provide more access for talent and more diverse content for viewers,” Terrence Howard said.

Terrence and Mira were married on October 2013, but she filed for divorce this March. She gave birth to their son 2 months later. The divorce became final in July. Terrence Howard is not unlike his Empire character Lucious Lyon: Both have troubled pasts, exhibit extreme behavior, and make for a great interview. That last one is especially apparent from a new Rolling Stone profile that treats the actor like a ticking time bomb ("You never know what you're going to get with a guy like Howard," Erik Hedegaard writes) whom no one can believe still has a job in Hollywood, let alone a starring role on a runaway Fox hit. The piece analyzes Howard's two-decade career, from his long-reported volatile behavior — both on- and off-screen — to his secret passion for studying logic and mathematics. It also details his troubling recent marriage to Mira Pak. The whole thing's a doozy to digest, so we've broken it down into the nine most bizarre things we learned about Howard.1.
