Andrew Wang is an Owner, Senior Vice President, and Portfolio Manager
at Runnymede Capital Management, an independent investment firm that
manages investment portfolios of institutions and high-net-worth
individuals. Mr. Wang is an advocate of investing in service sector
companies and has performed extensive research on the benefits of side
stepping major "financial hurricanes." He is a member of the Investment
Forum of Northern New Jersey, has been quoted by the financial press,
served as contributor to NJBIZ, New Jersey's only weekly business
journal, and has spoken at industry conferences. Mr. Wang was named one
of the "Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business" of 2013 and his
firm twice named "Best Customer Service in Investment Management" at
the Captive Service Awards and nominated 2008 Manager of the Year by
Financial Investment News.
Mr. Wang is an active member of his community serving as a board member and Treasurer of New York based non-profit Halawai, Inc, a vestry member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, and founder of the popular Hawaiian music website taropatch.net. His avocation as a Hawaiian musician has taken him to The John F. Kennedy Center of the Performing Arts, Jacob's Pillow, and The Highline Ballroom. His music has been featured by Hawaiian Airlines and national television networks.
Mr. Wang began his career as an earnings analyst at First Call, a Thomson Financial Services Company, where he initiated earnings coverage of Japanese and Asia-Pacific companies. He joined NECX Global Electronics Exchange as a Senior Trader acting as a market maker of semiconductors, electronic components, computer products and networking equipment. He holds a B.A. in International Studies with honors from Trinity College.
