Jose was in a traveling Irish Step Dancing troupe in middle school and performed for the governor of Rhode Island.
He was an accomplished accordion player and competed in an All New England competition and took 3rd place in his age group at 11 years old.
Jose Gonsalves was born in Bitburg, Germany. His father was stationed there while in the U.S. Air Force.
Jose is Cape Verdean, an ethnicity not very well known. The Cape Verdean islands are located off of the Ivory Coast of West Africa.
Jose met his wife at Rhode Island College and courted her briefly before deciding to break things off. They met again 5 years later and have been together ever since.
Jose once competed at an indoor track meet in the 60 meter dash against former 60 meter dash world record holder and Track and Field sprinting star Andre Cason.
