A life that’s measured in more than a few decades is one that is often seen as well-spent and in many cases when it comes to Hollywood, successful or at least memorable. Lorina Kamburova created a memorable life, but the age of 29 is simply too young to pass on in any case. The actress, unfortunately, succumbed to pneumonia that was exacerbated by Covid-19 recently, which is bound to have become an argument that many would take up without question since the number of Covid cases around the world have been the subject of heated debate for the past year

In case you’re wondering, before I start this review let me say, this Is Doom… All the aspects of the classic iD Software title are present and correct: from the transporting gates to the coloured keycards, from the weapons to the set/level design (with a brilliant nod to the intermission screen from the first game early on in the film), it’s all here in what can only be described as one of the most faithful video game adaptations to have ever been produced… Though there has been one liberty taken with the Doom franchise – this films “Doom guy” is actually a Doom girl, in the form of actress Amy...

It’s been four years since the release of the second sequel to the reboot/remake of Death Race – Death Race: Inferno – and three since the fourth film was sneakily announced by it’s writer (who also penned parts 2 and 3), Tony Giglio on Twitter, but now Death Race 4, or Death Race: Beyond Anarchy as it’s officially titled, has got a new red-band trailer and Four clips!
Not to be confused with Roger Corman’s own remake of Death Race, entitled Death Race 2050, Death Race: Beyond Anarchy sees the return of Danny Trejo as Goldberg and Frederick Koehler as Lists – both of whom appeared in Death Race 2 and Death Race: Inferno. Disaster strikes a downtown skyscraper when a gas leak causes a ferocious explosion setting ablaze the towering mass of metal and glass. On the 60th floor Brianna (Forlani) and Tom (Bamber) a couple in the middle of a divorce settlement are forced to work together to help save their two children, Anne and Ben, who are both trapped in the building’s elevator hovering 20 stories above ground. Together Brianna and Tom must fight to stay alive while teaming up to save their children and escape the towering inferno.
Hmmmm, Inferno: Skyscraper Escape? Sounds very much like a product of The Asylum, timed to cash in on That other big-budget Skyscraper movie releasing in July. It’s not though.

A twisted, cold-hearted monster features in this newly-released clip for Day of the Dead: Bloodline – and we’re not referring to the undead.
In fact, it’s a reanimated zombie that winds up saving the day, as Sophie Skelton’s heroine comes face-to-face with a sexual harasser (John Schaech) named Max. What follows is an unnerving exchange between Skelton and Schaech’s respective survivors, before the latter makes an unwanted advance.
Whether intentional or not, this Bloodline clip, one which arrives on the eve or release, appears to be ripped straight from the headlines, with the only difference being that a flesh-munching zombie arrives just in time to thwart an attempted rape. Because who said the undead always have to be portrayed as the bad guys?
Story-wise, Day of the Dead: Bloodline takes place in a “post-apocalyptic, zombie-filled world where a former med school student is tormented by a dark figure from her past.

Thanks to Bloody Disgusting, we now have a brand new, retro-styled poster for Hèctor Hernández Vicens’ Day of the Dead: Bloodline. As you can see in the gallery down below, it shows off Johnathon Schaech’s character Max, a half human and half zombie inspired by Bub from the 1985 original, and also uses the font from that film, too, giving it a rather old school vibe.
It’s a slick piece of art, all things considered, which only makes it all the more unfortunate that this seems to be yet another pointless remake. Perhaps if it was made with a reason, like bringing George A. Romero’s original script to life, which was cut for budgetary reasons in the 80s, I could understand the need for this project to exist. But that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Instead, this is the third or so interpretation of the 1985 classic,...

Day of the Dead: Bloodline, director Hèctor Hernández Vicens’ remake of George A. Romero’s 1985 classic Day of the Dead, is quickly approaching and the marketing machine is now starting to kick into gear.
Yesterday, we got to see some awesome new images from the film and today, IGN has the full trailer to show off (check it out down below). It introduces Max, the movie’s version of Bub who’s supposed to be part human and part zombie, while we’re also treated to plenty of gory violence. Which means hopefully we’ll be getting some neat new zombie effects, even if they’re not the work of Tom Savini.
It’s still a bit too early to make the call on how this one will turn out,...

Thanks to Bloody-Disgusting, we now have three brand new images from the upcoming remake of George A. Romero’s Day of the Dead, entitled Day of the Dead: Bloodline, which is set in a post-apocalyptic, zombie-filled world where a former med school student is tormented by a dark figure from her past. The only thing is, he’s a half-human, half-zombie hell-bent on destroying her world.
As you can see in the gallery below, one of the new images shows a rotten, stitched-up corpse rising up from an autopsy table, while we also have a look at a zombie with a very gaunt, skull-like appearance, and two human characters. Nothing here is terribly revealing, but it’s still nice to get another glimpse of the pic as many are curious to see how it’ll stack up to the film it’s remaking.

Earlier today, Saban Films gave us our first look at their Day of the Dead remake, which is going by the title Day Of The Dead: Bloodline.
Up above, you’ll be able to catch a glimpse at one of the zombies set to appear in the flick along with the official poster. Neither give us very much to go on, unfortunately, but it’s nice that the studio is finally peeling back the lid on the pic as we’ve been waiting to see something from it for a while now.
Equipped with the tagline “Every day has its end,” the one-sheet teases that Bloodline will be a “bold reimagining of the George A. Romero classic.” Whether it’ll be more positively received than 2008’s remake remains to be seen,...

Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury‘s Leatherface is yet another unique interpretation of Texas Chainsaw tonality. This is the beginnings of evil; a moody dive behind the monster’s mask. After The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 introduced a colorful misery, after roadkill grindhouse turned darkly comical, after 2003’s “gritty, dark reboot.” The filmmakers behind Inside, Livide and Among The Living use Seth M. Sherwood’s screenplay to explore what could drive one child to his slaughterhouse obsession – with mixed results. As a Southern-strong franchise entry, it’s certainly not the worst (cough – Texas Chainsaw 3D – cough). But as a Bustillo and Maury product? Well, let’s just say we’ve seen them be more aggressive, better inspired and vastly richer when developing human characteristics.
Sherwood’s tale opens on a celebratory gathering. Verna Sawyer (Lili Taylor) presents a young Jed Saywer (Boris Kabakchiev) with his first chainsaw. Happy birthday! Jed...

"What do you keep back there, King Kong?" Gravitas Ventures has unveiled a trailer for an indie horror thriller film titled Nightworld, from Chilean director Patricio Valladares. The story follows a former Lapd officer who gets a night security job at an old apartment building in Bulgaria's capital, Sofia. But he soon discovers the building has a "malevolent force nestled deep in the bowels" that wants to break free and enter our world. Jason London stars (and he looks a lot like Greg Kinnear), along with horror icon Robert Englund, plus Gianni Capaldi, Lorina Kamburova, Diana Lyubenova, and Atanas Srebrev. This really doesn't look that great, but maybe that's just me. The big door is the coolest part about it. See below. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Patricio Valladares' Nightworld, direct from YouTube: When former Lapd officer Brett Anderson (Jason London) takes a job as head of security...

As the camera swoops over a chilly boreal wilderness, and Luc Suarez’s brooding music evokes an air of intrigue and menace, it seems like we’re onto a winner. And look, there’s Robert Englund in the credits! That’s a sign of quality, right?
Jason London plays Brett Anderson – an ex-cop rather than an ex-Suede frontman – who is having nightmares about his dead wife, Ana (Diana Lyubenova). So naturally he moves to the Bulgarian capital Sofia and becomes a security camera operative in a creepy basement. A man named Martin (Gianni Capaldi) runs the building on behalf of a shadowy organisation. Brett is kept in the dark about what the organisation actually does – and also about what might be skulking in the giant...
