J.K. Simmons is dedicated to his new, healthy lifestyle! The 61-year-old actor stunned the Internet at the beginning of June when his trainer shared photos of Simmons' incredible muscles, with fans speculating that he was bulking up for his role in the new Justice League movie. But not so, says Simmons. His insane biceps are just a side effect of his love of the gym. "This is all coincidental," he told Business Insider. "I'm not going to mess with something that iconic," he says of his character in the Justice League, Jim Gordon. He's making me look bad. #JKSimmons #AintPlayinNoGames...

You know J.K. Simmons up there, right? Hilarious and charming Oscar-winning actor. He's also the only person who should ever play J. Jonah Jameson in any Spider-Man movie and casting him in anything automatically makes that project better. That's a scientific fact and you should trust us because we are scientists. If you saw Whiplash, you know that Simmons is actually pretty cut. He wore tight black t-shirts and flexed his arms in rage throughout the whole movie, so it was hard to miss his arm muscles. But even if you saw Whiplash, you will not be prepared for what Simmons looks like now. Fitness pro Aaron Williamson uploaded a couple photos of the actor working out on his Instagram page and Oh. My. God....

Aaron Williamson, a former marine-turned-fitness guru, is no stranger to coaching some of the world’s biggest movie stars. In the past, his clientele has included the likes of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, though a more recent training session has caused quite the stir in the DC fanbase.
That’s because it features Whiplash star J.K. Simmons, who will soon don the gun and badge as Commissioner Gordon for Zack Snyder’s two-part Justice League movie. With the opening installment due to land late next year, a new image posted to Williamson’s Instagram page has seemingly revealed the intense training Simmons is undergoing in preparation for the part.

He may have sat behind a desk and cackled maniacally as J. Jonah Jameson across the Spider-Man movies but this time around, in his transition from Marvel to DC, the 61-year-old Oscar winner is set for a much more physical role.

J.K. Simmons is currently preparing to play Commissioner Gordon in Zack Snyder's Justice League films, and he's grown out a beard for the role and got extremely ripped while he was at it! Some photos of the actor working out at the gym recently hit the internet, and as you can see, he's looking insane! It looks like this version of Commissioner Gordon could kick Batman's ass!
The photos come from Simmon's personal trainer Aaron Williamson, and if these photos of 61-year-old Simmons don't make you want to get your ass to a gym and start working out, I don't know what will.
This is definitely going to be a different version of Jim Gordon than anything we've seen before, and after seeing these pictures, I really hope that we get to see him fighting alongside Batman at some point.

“Justice League” fans better get ready to see one ripped Commissioner Gordon. J.K. Simmons, who will play the Gotham City Police head honcho in the upcoming DC Comics movie, is evidently unaware that his character is not a superhero because he’s been training to get in top shape for the film. The actor has been working with celebrity trainer and former marine Aaron Williamson to get swoll for the role, with Williamson posting pictures of Simmons on his Instagram account that make him look like a pro bodybuilder at 61. Earlier this week, U.S. Marine/actor/celebrity fitness trainer Aaron Williamson posted a few Instagram pics of one his clients working out, Oscar-winner J.K. Simmons (61), who will soon be shooting scenes in Zack Snyder's Justice League. Since his 300 days, Snyder has been infamous for teaming with trainer Gym Jones to produce a cast that arrives on set, looking like a collection of sculpted Greek statues. However, it seems Simmons' work with Williamson will be leaving Jones with very little to do. An earlier post from Williamson demonstrates the progress Simmons made in just a month. The Whiplash actor definitely doesn't have the striations he's showing off, 6 months later in the most recent post. Saturday morning, 61 years old & making the young generation jealous. When you think of Commissioner Jim Gordon from the Batman mythos, you undoubtedly think of a mustachioed older gentleman in a trench coat and glasses. Sometimes he's portrayed a little younger. Sometimes we see him run around with a gun and get his action hero on. You probably rarely envision him as some sort of musclebound bad ass, I'm guessing.
Well, looks like director Zack Snyder may have something else in mind for the iconic character when Justice League explodes into theaters next year.
J.K. Paramount have unveiled a new official still from the forthcoming 'Terminator: Genisys' featuring none other than the T-800. Of course we're all very familiar with the look of the original T-800 and this newly revised design doesn't look all that different but with the plot of the latest installment taking the alternate timeline route it's no surprise there would be a few subtle changes here and there. There's just 6 months to go before Arnie returns to reprise argubly his most iconic role to date and here's hoping this is just the first of many new stills from the production. Joining the big man is sexy Brit Emilia Clarke ('Game of Thrones'), Jai Courtney ('A Good Day to Die Hard'), Jason Clarke ('Dawn of the Planet of the Apes'), Byung-hun Lee, Matt Smith ('Doctor Who'), Aaron V. Williamson, Dayo Okeniyi and J.K. Simmons.

We double up today with the first teaser trailer and official one sheet for next Summer's latest 'Terminator' franchise chapter 'Terminator: Genisys'. We've got action, arnie and a smattering of Emilia Clarke's ('Game of Thrones') tight behind so it's all good. The latest installment stars Clarke as Sarah Connor, Jai Courtney ('A Good Day to Die Hard'), Jason Clarke ('Dawn of the Planet of the Apes'), Byung-hun Lee, Matt Smith ('Doctor Who'), Aaron V. Williamson, Dayo Okeniyi, J.K. Simmons and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Quite frankly the new trailer doesn't exude too much excitement at this stage and it's already trying a little too hard to drill home the fact that it's taking a more 'Star Trek'-esque reboot strategy this time around. I don't think shoving the new and convoluted timeline down our throats is going to...

A fresh set of behind the scenes photos taken straight from the production of Paramount's 'Terminator: Genesis' have arrived bringing with them some on set glimpses of all the main leads, namely the gorgeous 'Game of Thrones' star Emilia Clarke (as Sarah Connor), 'A Good Day to Die Hard' star Jai Courtney (as Kyle Reese) and of course a rather older looking Arnold Schwarzenegger who returns once more in his T-800 role. Alan Taylor ('Thor: The Dark World') is helming the sequel which will even revisit some of the action from the 1984 original. 'Terminator: Genesis' also stars Jason Clarke ('Dawn of the Planet of the Apes'), Byung-hun Lee, Matt Smith ('Doctor Who'), Aaron V. Williamson, Dayo Okeniyi and J.K. Simmons. To begin, Paramount has announced "Doctor Who" star Matt Smith has joined the cast of their Terminator reboot, aka Terminator: Genesis, playing a new character with a strong connection to John Connor (Jason Clarke), alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese, J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi and Byung Hun Lee. Additionally, stuntman Aaron V. Williamson (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) has been cast as a T-800 Terminator, perhaps a younger version of Schwarzenegger's character as Schwarzenegger told MTV "Terminatordeals a lot with time travel, so there will be a younger T-800, and then what that model does later on when it gets reprogrammed, and who gets ahold of him." Interestingly enough, that might feed into a new rumor coming from HitFix, reporting on a draft of the screenplay they read and how the new film may be incorporating an aged Schwarzenegger into the role of the Terminator.

Just when we though casting for Terminator: Genesis was done, a big nerdy addition to the franchise reboot has just been revealed. In addition to learning that bodybuilder Aaron Williamson plays a young T-800 Terminator, Paramount Pictures has just announced that Matt Smith, known for playing one of the iterations of "Doctor Who," is taking a role in the film, and it's actually a part that will grow into something more significant in the planned second and third films. There's no indication of who he might play, but we'll likely have a whole new cast of characters we haven't met since this sequel is said to have a lot of time travel (according to Arnold Schwarzenegger), and some new script details indicate a potentially complex timeline. HitFix recently got ahold of a draft of Terminator: Genesis and found one of the major connections between this new film and the original James Cameron directed flick.

Back in March, Arnold Schwarzengger made some interesting remarks about his role in Terminator: Genesis. Citing some time travel elements, he noted that his Terminator will have aged, or at least the flesh surrounding the metal machine ages, that way Schwarzenegger won't have to be made young digitally. In addition, the actor also mentioned a younger T-800 who would get reprogrammed and used by an unknown enemy. Now we know who will play that younger Terminator as bodybuilder and trainer Aaron Williamson (via ScreenRant) updated Facebook to reveal he's playing a T-800 Terminator in the reboot. The Facebook post has since been deleted, but it simply said: "Thanks to an amazing team of people who help me get better each week, both physically & creatively, I’ll be playing a T-800 (Terminator) in the upcoming production ‘Terminator: Genesis’. Arnold Schwarzenegger previously revealed that he'll play an older Version of his T-800 Terminator in the upcoming "Terminator: Genesis," indicating that even though the robot doesn't age, his skin does. He went on to say that there will also be a younger version. At the time it was assumed that Schwarzenegger's face will be placed on top of another actor's body using CGI to re-create the look from the original film. Today, we know the actor who'll play the younger version and how he fits into the story. Aaron V. Arnold Schwarzenegger reprises his iconic role as a T-800 Terminator in the film, though his particular cyborg is said to have aged. Schwarzenegger revealed last month that there is also a younger T-800 in the reboot.
Williamson's involvement was discovered due to a now-deleted post on one of the actor's social networking pages where he reportedly said: "Thanks to an amazing team of people who help me get better each week, both physically & creatively, I'll be playing a T-800 (Terminator) in the upcoming production Terminator: Genesis. I'm extremely grateful & motivated as this new chapter begins to take shape."
Paramount has not confirmed the casting. The actor did confirm he has been cast in the film but wouldn't say any specific details.
