‘The Marvels’ was undoubtedly last year’s biggest MCU flop, losing a staggering amount of money. This prompted significant changes across the board, with Bob Iger emphasizing the need for the studio to focus on quality and reduce their creative output.
However, the movie also initiated promising developments, such as the ‘Young Avengers’ project, hinted at by Kamala’s efforts to recruit younger superheroes.
The post-credits scene of ‘The Marvels’ features Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel recruiting Kate Bishop into her new initiative. Kamala also inquires about Cassie Lang, who, as seen in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,’ goes by the alias Stature. The rumored members of the Young Avengers also include Skaar (Hulk’s son), Wiccan, Speed, America Chavez, Kid Loki, Ironheart, Toussaint, Patriot, and Love from ‘Thor: Love and Thunder.’

Shadow of the Erdtree, Elden Ring‘s highly awaited Dlc, is finally arriving next month. It’s been an agonizing wait, but fellow Tarnished, rest easy as we’re almost at the finish line.
Looking at what Hidetaka Miyazaki, the FromSoftware president, has had to say about the upcoming Dlc, it sounds like the team has crafted something truly amazing that could rival the base game itself. And it wouldn’t be the first time that’s happened; there’s some amazing Dlc out there that deserve just as much acclaim as their base games got.
Shadow of the Erdtree and Four Other Amazing Video Game DLCs Shadow of the Erdtree could blown the base game out of the water.
From adding memorable bosses to giving players enough content to keep them busy for weeks, each of these DLCs have something unique and valuable that they contribute to their respective titles.

Exclusive: A fan-favorite character is leaving And Just Like That… Karen Pittman, who played Nya Wallace in the first two seasons of the Sex and the City sequel, will not be returning for the upcoming third season of the hit Max series.
Pittman was already a series regular on Apple TV+’s The Morning Show when she was cast in And Just Like That…, originally as a recurring in Season 1; she was upped to a series regular in Season 2. Earlier this month, she also was tapped for a starring role in Forever, Netflix’s upcoming drama series reimagining Judy Blume’s novel from Mara Brock Akil.
This put Pittman in the middle of a scheduling conundrum involving three high-profile series on three major streamers filming new seasons this year within similar timeframes.
According to sources, there was every intention for Pittman to be in Season 3 of Ajlt, and Nya was written into the scripts.

In 2023, Marvel Studios faced setbacks with their movies, a crucial year meant to launch the next saga and introduce Kang the Conqueror. Two out of three releases flopped, and ‘Secret Invasion’ was harshly criticized, deemed one of the worst MCU shows on Disney+.
Bob Iger acknowledged the need for quality over quantity amidst record-low profits. Consequently, the 2024 release lineup is modest, with ‘Deadpool 3’ likely the sole movie. Other projects like ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ and ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ faced delays and reshoots. The SAG-AFTRA strike further hampered production across the MCU.
Despite these challenges, ‘Young Avengers’ remains a promising project, transitioning from a Disney+ show to a movie now in active development. Production Weekly confirms Kevin Feige and Louis D’Esposito as producers, with a 2025 production start hinted in their report.

Tea can be an energizer or a sedative. “Black Tea,” the first film in a decade from veteran Mauritanian auteur Abderrahmane Sissako, sips exclusively from the latter end of the shelf, passing through chamomile-type calm into outright soporific territory. And if that seems a trite metaphor related to the beverage, this tepid Berlinale competition entry has plenty more of its own: A love story between a Chinese tea-shop owner and an Ivory Coast émigré that is rooted in the rituals of brewing and consuming the blessed leaves, the film aims for woozy sensualism but falls way short on the ambient richness and X-factor chemistry required to sell such an essentially confected exercise.
It’s altogether a mystifying misstep from Sissako, typically a filmmaker of such formal and political vigor; by its close, the ten years separating “Black Tea” from 2014’s beautiful, shattering “Timbuktu” feel closer to an eon. Though this...

Chaïmaa Zineddine as Fatima in Gamma Rays. Henry Bernadet: 'She really wanted to be in the project. And she had something in her that was very inspiring' Photo: Courtesy of San Sebastian Film Festival Quebecois director Henry Bernadet returns to the world of ensemble drama after his debut West Of Pluto, with Gamma Rays, which centres on a group of teenagers in Montreal from different migrant backgrounds. Born out of workshops with the youngsters who went on to become members of his cast, this is a triptych of tales that celebrate the city and its youth. The most dramatic of them concerns Fatima (Chaïmaa Zineddine), whose attempts to extricate herself from the orbit of a drug dealer prove tricky, while comic relief of a sort is provided by young Abdel’s (Yassine Jabrane) attempts to cope with the arrival of his extrovert cousin Omar. Bridging the gap between the...

The multifaceted and multicultural fabric of Montreal is brought to life in this teenage ensemble drama from Henry Bernadet, which spends a sultry summer in the company of a group of youngsters. Like 2019 British teen favourite Rocks, the film emerged out of workshops with the cast. Although the result is fictional it feels firmly moored in their reality, a sensation heightened by frequent cutaway shots to the comings and goings of the city.
Loosely structured, although maintaining an impressive balance between its stories, we dip in and out of the lives of a trio of teenagers. Afro-Canadian Toussaint (Chris Kanyembuga) provides a sort of bridging device for Bernadet’s narrative (co-written with Nicolas Krief and Isabelle Brouillette). He’s a lonely soul but a big thinker and, after he finds an unexpected note in a bottle, embarks on a phone relationship with a mystery woman at the other side of the.

After 11 episodes, a rekindled romance and a highly anticipated cameo, “And Just Like That” Season 2 came to an end Thursday on Max.
Developed by Michael Patrick King, the Max original takes place 11 years after the “Sex and the City 2” movie. Instead of following four friends in their 30s, the spinoff follows three of the main friends in their 50s as they navigate friendship, careers, new romances and the complicated rules of dating later in life.
TheWrap already broke down Kim Cattrall’s return as Samantha Jones. But if you’re curious how the season ended for everyone else, here’s what you need to know.

The tenth episode ended of And Just Like That Season 2 with Che and Miranda having an explosive confrontation about the jokes they made about their relationship. Aidan breaks down over his son’s accident and his inability to cater to his emotional needs. He feels he should have been there as a dad. Charlotte comes home drunk and confronts Harry and her kids about giving her some space to be herself outside of the family. Lisa unfortunately miscarries. As Carrie prepares to say goodbye to her old apartment, she invites all her friends one last time to celebrate the life she led in this place. We would love to know what happens when as many friends as possible descend on her place for “The Last Supper.”

When Francie Calfo, then-president of television at Imagine Entertainment, first reached out to Reggie Rock Bythewood to gauge his interest in the sports drama that would become Swagger, he wasn’t immediately on board.
“There was something really interesting happening during that time,” recalls Bythewood, the creator, writer, director and executive producer of the Apple TV+ series. “In that same week, two other people hit me about basketball projects. I was like, ‘What is in the air?’
Still, Bythewood was somewhat intrigued by the idea of a TV show loosely inspired by NBA star Kevin Durant’s youth basketball days. So, he took a 45-minute flight from Los Angeles to Oakland, California — where Durant was playing for the Golden State Warriors at the time — and met with the 6’10″ pro baller, who’s also an executive producer of the series. It was then that the filmmaker’s level of interest changed...

At the center of it is Aunt Vi (Lorraine Toussaint), trying to help her masseuse in “No Way Out,” which does also get personal for her. “Our writers are very collaborative and I’m always so grateful for their willingness to be so collaborative,” Toussaint shares with TV Insider. “We kept refining the scripts more and more so that it spoke directly to an experience that Aunt Vi had, because I was most afraid that the episode would come off as being somewhat inappropriately invasive of the other woman’s life.” Vi is the one to notice the signs in Angie — as you can see in our exclusive sneak peek above — but it’s important to remember that this is her masseuse, not her friend. “Vi is definitely pushing up against boundaries,...
