The new episode of ‘Shark Tank India 3’ witnessed a pitch by ‘Kibo’, an assistive technology company which is revolutionising accessibility for the visually impaired, and it has sealed a deal of Rs 60 lakhs in exchange of six percent equity with filmmaker Ronnie Screwvala and Peyush Bansal, the co-founder and CEO of Lenskart.
Accessing content in real-time remains a formidable challenge for blind and low-vision individuals in India. With less than one percent of reading material available in Braille, a tactile writing system used by the visually impaired, and the time-consuming process of audio recording, a 300-page book can take up to six weeks to be delivered in an accessible format.
Trestle Labs, founded by Akshita Sachdeva and Bonny Dave, addresses this pressing issue with their product, ‘Kibo’ (Knowledge in a Box). They pitched a deal of Rs 60 lakhs for one percent equity.

Warning: This article contains Spoilers for both seasons one and two of Our Flag Means Death
We meet a whole crew of new pirate faces in season two of Our Flag Means Death, and you may have heard of a few of them. While we already know that Stede Bonnet (Rhys Darby) and Blackbeard (Taika Waititi) were based on real historical pirates, you might be surprised to learn just true to life many of the characters in season two are, from the feared pirate queen Zheng Yi Sao to the infamously brutal Ned Low.
Let’s take a look at the true stories which – as ever – are even stranger than the fiction of our favourite pirate comedy:
Zheng Yi Sao Really Did Bend China To Her Will
We first met her as Susan, the soup shack lady, in episode one, before quickly learning Susan’s real identity is Zheng Yi Sao,...

Countdown number-wrangler Carol Vorderman will tell you that she appeared on the very first celebrity version of a British TV show in December 1998, but Carol Vorderman has been getting high on her own supply. 18 months before she gave her Cher in a 1998 episode of Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes, Wendy Richard and Todd Carty from EastEnders graced episode one of Celebrity Ready Steady Cook, and they’d appreciate Vorders giving it a bit less of all that, thank you.
The point being: celebrity versions of TV shows are mostly dross. Not being able to choose from the top drawer of fame, they generally feature the packing peanuts of the TV world. These shows use what might be described as a homeopathic definition of ‘celebrity’, in that this glass of water has a better chance of remembering who any of the cast are than I do.
The cast of Celebrity Race Across the World is different.

It turns out "Our Flag Means Death" didn't get lost at sea after all: Vanity Fair has just shared an exclusive first look at season 2, complete with casting information, first-look photos, and character tidbits about all our favorite pirates. Among the revelations? That cast newcomer Minnie Driver is set to play Anne Bonny, Ed "Blackbeard" Teach (Taika Waititi) will indeed have a bit of a beard this season, and perpetually angry first mate Izzy Hands (Con O'Neill) will be "enraged by unrequited love," as O'Neill put it.
All the new info comes courtesy of a set visit from December 2022, and while a firm release date hasn't yet been announced for the hit Max rom-com, there's still plenty here worth getting excited about. An image of Driver's Bonny -- a real-life pirate who disappeared in 1721 but sailed the high seas around the same time as Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet --...

SeriesFest Season 9 Independent Pilot Competition Winners Include ‘Humanized’, ‘Chanshi’ (Exclusive)
SeriesFest Season 9 unveiled its list of winners in the independent pilot competition at a ceremony in Denver on Wed, May 10. Jurors screened 55 pilots from creative voices around the globe at this year’s iteration of the television festival.
“The independent pilot competitions are at the heart of our mission. It is why we founded SeriesFest,” said Randi Kleiner, CEO and Co-Founder of SeriesFest. “It was to be a discovery platform for independent artists and give them the opportunity to get their voices heard, their projects seen by an audience and executives, and make new connections. Anyone who has made a pilot deserves to be honored.”
At the awards ceremony, SeriesFest also announced the winners for two initiatives including the Level Forward Impact Award (which went to Sarah Klein and Tom Mason) and Caz Matthews Fund. The Level Forward Impact Award, given to the episodic pilot and team who demonstrate, on...

On NBC's '90s sci-fi sitcom "3rd Rock from the Sun," four aliens land on Earth and assume human identities: Dick (John Lithgow), Sally (Kristen Johnson), Harry (French Stewart), and Tommy (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) pose as the Solomon family. Harry -- and I'm trying my best to soften the language here -- is the unintelligent one; he's literally supposed to be the stupidest person in the universe. And Stewart plays the role to perfection. He made the character even funnier by improvising one of Harry's most memorable mannerisms: his signature squint.
"3rd Rock from the Sun" was created by married writing duo Bonny and Terry Turner, who are known for penning the scripts to "The Brady Bunch Movie," "Coneheads," and "Wayne's World." Before that, they worked as staff writers on "Saturday Night Live." There, they met and developed a friendship with John Lithgow when he served as the special guest host in the '80s.

Marty (Colin Farrell) is a screenwriter with a serious case of writer’s block. “Seven Psychopaths” is his latest script, but there’s one big problem with it. The title is all he’s written so far. He needs some inspiration to make his characters and his story come alive, but where is an Irishman with a drinking problem and relationship issues going to find that spark of originality? As with most of life’s questions, the answer here is Sam Rockwell. More precisely, it’s with his good friend Billy (Rockwell). Where Billy goes trouble follows, and that trouble is currently in the form of a pissed-off gangster named Charlie (Woody Harrelson) who’s violently distraught over the loss of his pooch Bonny (Bonny the ShihTzu). It seems Billy’s primary source of income is a scam he runs with his friend Hans (Christopher Walken) involving the dog-napping and subsequent return for reward of wealthy peoples...
