It was probably only a matter of time before Atomic Monster and Blumhouse announced a sequel to M3GAN after the critically-acclaimed sci-fi horror movie performed very well at the box office, and we found out last January that M3GAN 2.0 was officially in development.
Now, Deadline is reporting that Ahsoka star Ivanna Sakhno has joined the cast. No details on her character were provided, but it is said to be a "major role." Sakhno joins the original movie's stars Allison Williams and Violet McGraw.
Sakhno played Force-sensitive mercenary Shin Hati in the Disney+ Star Wars series, and is expected to reprise the role for the second season.
M3GAN stars Williams as Gemma, a brilliant roboticist at a toy company who uses artificial intelligence to develop a life-like doll programmed to be a kid’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. After unexpectedly gaining custody of her orphaned niece,...

As the new year dawns, a fresh cinematic universe is on the horizon for DC Comics-based projects. With James Gunn at the helm, he doesn’t shy away from dispelling rumors surrounding ‘Superman: Legacy’ and potential additions to the revamped Dcu.
Recent rumors circulating about planned and unplanned Dcu properties have centered on the speculated ‘Waller’ TV Show. Initially intended as a 13-episode series, scripts were mostly complete, and casting had commenced. Phil Abraham was set to direct the initial two episodes, with Freddie Stroma reprising his role as Vigilante and Sean Gunn taking on Maxwell Lord. Supporting roles were to be filled by John Douglas Thompson and Ivanna Sakhno. The season was slated to be split into two parts, with the first half premiering in the spring of 2025 and the second half in the fall.

With the new year comes a new cinematic universe for the projects based on DC comics, and now that Gunn is officially in charge, he really does not hold back on debunking various rumors related to ‘Superman: Legacy’ and other possible projects that might be developed as a part of newly overhauled Dcu.
Recently, some rumors resurfaced regarding planned and (unplanned)Dcu properties, mostly related to the alleged ‘Waller’ TV Show. ‘Waller’ was supposed to be a TV series consisting of 13 episodes. The majority of scripts were complete, and casting has begun. Phil Abraham was supposed to direct the first two episodes. Freddie Stroma would return as Vigilante, and Sean Gunn would portray Maxwell Lord. John Douglas Thompson and Ivanna Sakhno joining in supporting roles. The season was supposed to be divided into two parts, with the first half set to premiere in the spring of 2025, followed by the second half in the fall.

This article contains spoilers for Ahsoka, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Ahsoka hasn’t yet been officially renewed for another season, but with all of the loose threads left by the season 1 finale, it’s hard not to dream about where season 2 could take these characters.
With Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson), Sabine (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno), and Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson) now stranded on Peridea and Thrawn (Lars Mikkelson) returning home with an army of entombed Nightsisters in tow, there is a lot at stake across not just one, but two galaxies. Now that the Nightsisters have officially made a comeback in the New Republic era, I can’t think of a better character to bring into Ahsoka than Nightsister Merrin (Tina Ivlev).
First introduced in the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Merrin has since appeared in the 2023 sequel Star Wars...

Timothy Zahn, who created Grand Admiral Thrawn in the 1990s Heir to the Empire Star Wars book series, recently talked about the direction the character could go in Season 2 of Disney+'s Ahsoka.
Although Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka Tano and Natasha Liu Bordizzo's Sabine Wren went toe-to-toe with multiple villains in Season 1 of Ahsoka, Lars Mikkelsen's Grand Admiral Thrawn turned out to be the main antagonist.
Some reports and rumors stated that Disney and Lucasfilm could be looking ahead at developing a Season 2 of Ahsoka, which would undoubtedly flesh out characters such as Thrawn. This is all while fans wait for Dave Filoni's culminating MandoVerse movie that could feature the Grand Admiral as the main villain.

While "Star Wars" animation fans like myself will probably always be haunted wondering what might have been had "Ahsoka" been the animated "Star Wars Rebels" sequel series we always longed for, the first season of the live-action continuation we got has left the story of Ahsoka Tano in a decidedly interesting place. Picking things up from "The Mandalorian," the show has Anakin Skywalker's former Padawan (Rosario Dawson) reunite with her estranged pupil, Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), to continue their hunt for Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen), in the hopes of both preventing him returning to reunite the scattered remnants of the Galactic Empire and recovering their lost friend Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi). Their subsequent adventure takes them to a completely different galaxy far, far away, bringing the pair face-to-face with fallen Jedi, Dathomirian witches, a graveyard of purrgil or "star whale" bones, and even zombie troopers.

‘Star Wars’ fans were surprised in May by the sudden passing of Ray Stevenson, just a few months before the ‘Ahsoka’ series was set to be released. Stevenson played Baylan Skoll, a crucial character in the show. After his final appearance, the cast of the latest ‘Star Wars’ series on Disney+ shared a heartfelt tribute for the late actor.
Ivanna Sakhno, who plays Baylan’s apprentice in the series, shared her thoughts on Instagram. She posted a meaningful message with an image from Norse mythology showing Skoll and Hati, the big wolves linked to chasing the sun and the moon. Some people think that Dave Filoni got the names of the original characters from this mythology.

This post contains spoilers for the Ahsoka season finale, which is now streaming on Disney+.
The Ahsoka finale, “The Jedi, the Witch, and the Warlord,” invites many questions. What exactly is the deal with the zombie Night Troopers? Why would a witch need a sword? What has been motivating ex-Jedi Baylan Skoll? Why does Grand Admiral Thrawn look so much like Elon Musk, when actor Lars Mikkelsen in real life does not resemble the owner of the social media network formerly known as Twitter?
Most importantly, though, is this: Exactly...

At the end of Episode 7, Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) had finally reunited with Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) and Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi) on Peridea. While Sabine’s primary goal was to reunite with Ezra, Ahsoka remained focused on stopping Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) from returning from exile.

For finding Thrawn (and consequently the Great Mothers), Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto) was given a reward. The Great Mothers empowered the Nightsister and forged a Blade of Talzin for her — a sword that glows green with mystical energy.

Ahsoka's penultimate episode set up a potential finale twist for Ivanna Sakhno’s Shin Hati.
First introduced in Episode 1 of Ahsoka on Disney+, Shin Hati, played by Star Wars newcomer Sakhno, is the apprentice of Baylan Skoll, the series' fan-favorite former Jedi turned mysterious mercenary.
In Episode 7, Baylan Skoll surprisingly parted ways with his apprentice and, given the situation on Peridea, suggested a possible change of course for this character.

This article contains spoilers for "Star Wars: Ahsoka" episode 5 — "Dreams and Madness."
The penultimate episode of "Ahsoka" sees two stories play out: the potential court martial of Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) from the New Republic and the journey of Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) to rescue Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) and Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi) from the machinations of Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelson) and his allies.
Hera's story is completed before the opening title card, with Senator Leia Organa helping Hera out of the jam. When Senator Xiono wants to strip Hera of her rank, the golden droid arrives to offer proof (albeit via false truth) that Leia sanctioned Hera's mission personally, and as leader of the Defense Council, they can take up any problems with her personally.
Back in the other galaxy, Thrawn continues his preparations to return to the New Republic, loading the secret cargo...

With just two episodes left of “Ahsoka” on Disney+, there are many plot threads that hopefully will be addressed.
With most of the major characters, including Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson), either at or headed to (or trying to leave) the planet Peridea as of Episode 6, there will surely be some epic fights to come.
In Episode 6, viewers learned that Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) was thriving despite being exiled to the distant galaxy, to which his follower Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto) was able to map a route.
Peridea also happens to be where purrgil, or star whales, migrate to using an organic form of hyperdrive. It is also the homeworld of the Nightsisters or Dathomiri, a faction of witches who use powerful magic and have aligned themselves with Thrawn.
Here’s where all the major characters stand leading into Episode 7. New episodes of “Star Wars: Ahsoka” stream Tuesdays at 6 pm E.

“Something calls to me. Can’t you hear it? Something stirs here. Can’t you see it?” That line, uttered by the late actor Ray Stevenson in “Ahsoka” episode six, set the minds of “Star Wars” fans racing. Viewers have long been clued in to the fact that Stevenson’s character Baylan Skoll has his own secret agenda that doesn’t involve his tenuous allies Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto) or Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen). Now that Baylan has reached Peridia, a mysterious planet in a distant galaxy, his secret plan might just be the biggest bombshell that the Disney+ series will drop on fans.
Baylan’s ambitions came into sharper focus this episode during a short conversation between the Force-user and his apprentice Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno). After she asks her master if he misses the fallen Jedi order, he scoffs. “I miss the idea of it, but not the truth,...

In "Ahsoka," Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson) made a strong first impression when he slaughtered the crew of a New Republic vessel after posing as a Jedi with his disciple, Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno). This is not a case of basic impersonation, as Baylan used to be a Jedi while the Jedi Order thrived, and became disillusioned after surviving The Purge, turning into a mercenary-for-hire in later years. While Baylan and Shin are not Jedi, it is tricky to categorize them as Sith, especially after today's episode, where the former Jedi talks about his grand plan to end cyclical violence in the galaxy. While speaking about the ebb and flow of power, and the rise and fall of fascistic empires, Baylan expresses his desire to be something more by creating a galaxy devoid of this violent ouroboros.

"Ahsoka" has finally reached the point that "Star Wars Rebels" fans have been waiting for with bated breath: the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn, who appears in live-action for the first time, announcing his twisted plan for the galaxy. The moment Thrawn arrives in the episode, the remnant Empire's plans automatically gain gravitas. There are a lot of interesting things to dissect here, including his Kintsugi-style deathtroopers, his gold-masked right-hand man, Enoch (Wes Chatham), and most importantly, his flagship, the Isd Chimaera.
The Chimaera is the first visual introduction to Thrawn's return after Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto), along with Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson) and Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno), arrive on Peridea. This is not just a ship; the vessel is intimately linked to Thrawn's rise through the ranks when the Empire thrived, and it is likely that the Chimaera...

In this episode of "Ahsoka," the Eye of Scion makes its way to Peridea, the fabled homeland of Witches of Dathomir and the graveyard of the purrgil an entire galaxy away. The Great Mother, a witch of Dathomir, greets Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto), Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson), Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno), and Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo). They were sending dreams and messages to Morgan Elsbeth to help her find her way to this planet and rescue Thrawn from his exile. Grand Admiral Thrawn arrives with great pomp aboard his Star Destroyer, the Chimera. As per his deal with the witches, he is transferring cargo for them and this will take three days. In the meantime, Thrawn is willing to honor Baylan Skoll's agreement with Sabine Wren and gives her what she needs to search for Ezra in the wasteland of Peridea.

The fourth installment of "Star Wars: Ahsoka," titled "Fallen Jedi", pulls no punches when it comes to having the situation go from bad to worse. As the forces of evil led by the descendent of the Witches of Dathomir, Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto), and fallen Jedi Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson) work to extract the information from the map to find Grand Admiral Thrawn (the still unseen Lars Mikkelsen), Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) and Sabine (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) work to repair their ship. After it got shot down last episode, they need to get it back in the air or retrieve the map personally. While Huyang (David Tennant) attempts repairs, Ahsoka and Sabine take to the forest. They're stopped by Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno) and Marrok (Paul Darnell), who engage them in an intense fight in the woods. Though Huyang warned Ahsoka and Sabine to stay together,...

This article contains spoilers for "Ahsoka" episode 4, "Fallen Jedi."
We have already hit the halfway point in season 1 of "Ahsoka" on Disney+ and, for hardcore "Star Wars" fans, it left us with much to think about. Some deep lore from a galaxy far, far away was touched on, some big surprises were dropped on us, and a few key mysteries began to unravel. One of the biggest mysteries had to do with the Inquisitor Marrok, who had been fighting alongside Jedi-turned-mercenaries Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson) and Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno). Marrok's identity had (has?) been kept secretive but episode 4 of the series, "Fallen Jedi," answered some questions in that department while raising several others. Let's dig into it.

There's a new "Star Wars" show centered on a Jedi, and you know what that means: lightsaber fights! They'd best be good ones, too, since Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) is an active Jedi. She's not aging and out of practice like Obi-Wan Kenobi, or utterly absent Force training like so many characters who have tried wielding the Darksaber on "The Mandalorian." Ahsoka's foes are no slouches. Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson) and Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno) may not be Jedi, nor formally Sith, but they're certainly Force wielders. The mysterious, masked Marrok, meanwhile, sure looks like a Dark Side-empowered Inquisitor.
In ranking lightsaber battles on the show, we're counting every fight that involves the use of an actual lightsaber. Only one participant need have one for it to count, but training fights without real lightsabers do not qualify, even if the training session involving Ahsoka, Sabine (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), and...

In the 15 years since Ahsoka Tano was first introduced in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, she has appeared in many other shows like Star Wars: Rebels, The Mandalorian, and most recently The Book of Boba Fett. Her wit, Force-wielding skills, and her desire to do good for the Galaxy even after leaving the Jedi Order have made her a fan-favorite character with fans eager to see her in a solo series.
Because Ahsoka has been involved in so many eras throughout Star Wars history from The Clone Wars to the New Republic, there are plenty of characters, both familiar and otherwise, that we can expect to see throughout the series. Ahsoka will feature the return of several Rebels and Clone Wars characters, as well as the introduction of new characters we haven’t yet seen in canon before.

This article discusses spoilers for the latest episode of "Ahsoka."
We're only two weeks and three episodes into "Ahsoka" (you can check out Bryan Young's recap of episode 3 here) and fans have already enjoyed an avalanche of Easter eggs, references, and callbacks to the beloved animated series "Star Wars: Rebels." With creator Dave Filoni at the helm and finally able to complete the arcs of characters like Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson), the fiery Mandalorian Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), General Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), and eventually the long-missing Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi), there's simply no telling how many more connections we're about to get in the weeks ahead that further tie together every corner of the "Star Wars" universe. This latest one -- for all intents and purposes, the live-action debut of the fan-favorite species of space whales known as the purrgil -- might very well be the most significant development yet.

This article contains spoilers for "Star Wars: Ahsoka" episode 3 — "Time to Fly"
Last week, the first two episodes of "Ahsoka" did a relatively good job of setting the stage for what could potentially be one of the most epic confrontations in all of "Star Wars." Hopefully, it was a good introduction for fans who didn't necessarily have the time or the interest to watch four seasons of the animated series "Star Wars Rebels" just to get acquainted with characters new to live-action like Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) and Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead).
It's a lot of backstory that essentially pits Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) against a small group of Dark Side users who have the key to unlocking the whereabouts of Grand Admiral Thrawn, who is largely considered to be the greatest villain in all of "Star Wars" next to Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine. There's also a...

Directed again by Steph Green and written by Dave Filoni, the episode shows the inertia faced by the New Republic when it comes to taking any military action beyond the end of the war. Few seem to believe that Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) could be a threat to the New Republic, and others still think that the specter of Thrawn is just Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth-Winstead) trying to nab all the resources she can get to go on a selfish mission to look for her lost friend, Ezra Bridger (Emen Esfandi). While Hera spends her time arguing with Mon Mothma (Genevieve O'Reilly), the Chancellor of the Republic, another journey is underway. Ahsoka Tano, the Clone Wars hero played by Rosario Dawson in the new live-action Disney+ series, is coming to Fortnite, Lucasfilms Games announced on Friday.
On Sept. 26, Fortnite gamers will be able to unlock the character by buying the current Season’s Battle Pass.
Previous “Star Wars” characters to appear in the game include Kylo Ren, played by Adam Driver in the film franchise, and Boba Fett, who was portrayed by Temuera Morrison in “The Mandalorian” and by Daniel Logan in “The Book of Boba Fett.”
In July, the Matt Groening animated series “Futurama” crossed over with the game, with users able to play as characters Fry, Leela, or Bender. After many years off the air, the fan favorite series debuted its 11th season on Hulu on July 24.
Previously, the game featured crossovers with “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” “Avengers: Infinity War.”

This article contains spoilers for "Ahsoka."
"Ahsoka" is finally here (read /Film's review), and it marks a crucial turning point for the "Star Wars" franchise. The show functions as both a "Mandalorian" spinoff and a live-action continuation of the expertly-crafted animated series "Star Wars Rebels," which feels like a bit of a gamble. Transitioning beloved cartoon characters like Sabine Wren, Hera Syndulla and Ezra Bridger from animation into live-action could be a difficult sell to audiences that aren't familiar with them. The series also has to contend with continuing the storyline established in "The Mandalorian," which includes the return of "Rebels" villain Grand Admiral Thrawn. "Ahsoka" head writer and "Star Wars" stalwart Dave Filoni is betting the plot threads and character dynamics he helped create in "Rebels" will tie in to the existing canon and be just as compelling when they're witnessed in live-action, if not more so.

This article contains spoilers for Ahsoka episodes 1 and 2.
It’s taken a while, but more than five years after the credits rolled on Star Wars Rebels, we’re finally getting some payoff for its cliffhanger ending in Dave Filoni’s Ahsoka on Disney+. The Rebels creator is effectively giving us a live-action season 5, while also gifting fans the long-awaited solo series for the talented Togruta.
Alongside Rosario Dawson taking the lead as Ahsoka, a mix of new and returning faces sees Rebels alumni David Tennant and Lars Mikkelsen reprise their roles, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Natasha Liu Bordizzo take over from previous voice actors, and the likes of Ivanna Sakhno and Ray Stevenson playing brand-new roles. Sadly for Stevenson, he didn’t get to see the breakout reaction to Baylan Skoll.
Ray Stevenson tragically passed away on May 21, 2023, just four days before his 59th birthday. No cause of death has been revealed,...

Created and written by Dave Filoni, Ahsoka is the latest live-action TV series to be set in the Star Wars universe, following The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor. It centres on the character of Jedi warrior Ahsoka Tano, who was introduced in the animated 2008 Clone Wars film (2008), before starring in the animated Clone Wars TV series (2008-2014) and its follow-up series, Star Wars Rebels (2014-2018), before making her live-action debut (played by Rosario Dawson) in the second season of The Mandalorian.

The second episode of Disney’s Ahsoka premiered alongside the first, and it works better because there’s a lot less exposition. While the first episode had to contextualize a lot of things to help viewers catch up, the second episode follows the first, and the events are directly linked. The first episode ended with Shin Hati stabbing Sabine Wren in the gut and escaping with the map that could guide them to Admiral Thrawn’s secret location. Here’s what follows in the second episode of Ahsoka.
What does Ahsoka find? Episode 2 clarifies any lingering doubt that the viewers might’ve had from the previous episode about whether Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) survived Shin Hati’s (Ivanna Sakhno) lightsaber attack. Sabine lies on a bed in the medical wing of Lothal as Ahsoka Tano and Hera hover over her while the nurse droids try treating her. Upset that...

After months of waiting, Disney’s Ahsoka, a Star Wars offshoot, has finally premiered today, and it stars one of the most charismatic characters in the series to grace the animated world. First seen 15 years ago in The Clone Wars, the audience was introduced to a Togruta warrior, Ahsoka Tano. A fierce lightsaber wielder who trained in the ways of the Jedi, she’s the protagonist of this new series, although this isn’t the first time the new-generation audience is meeting her. We’ve seen her previously in Rebels as well as The Mandalorian, thereby providing a much-needed memory jog for the viewers who might not be familiar with the brilliant character. Rosario Dawson reprises her role as the titular character as she remains steadfast in her pursuit of Admiral Thrawn while a new danger lurks in the shadows.

There will be spoilers for "Star Wars: Ahsoka" Chapter 1 - Master and Apprentice.
Though "Ahsoka" takes place quite a few years after "Return of the Jedi", it makes a certain sense that the hardware and ships used by the Rebel Alliance to restore the Republic would still be in use years later. As the first episode of "Ahsoka" opens, we're treated to a ship that appears to have a Mon Calamari design (at least internally), and they are in communication with another ship called Home One. That just so happens to be the Mon Calamari flagship where Admiral Ackbar oversaw the fleet operations for the assault on the second Death Star over the forest moon of Endor. It was on the bridge there that he uttered his most famous line, "It's a trap!"
In "Ahsoka," we meet this new ship and a new captain as another vessel approaches, claiming to be from the Jedi.

Spoiler Alert: The following contains details about the first two episodes of Disney+/Lucasfilm’s Ahsoka, “Master and Apprentice” and “Toil and Trouble”.
We’ve seen the spunk, force and determination of such Star Wars heroines as Princess Leia Organa and Rey, but behold the power of Ahsoka Tano, Sabine Wren and Hera Syndulla in what is Disney+ and Lucasfilm’s most potent live-action female spirited Star Wars series yet. It’s truly a glass-breaking series in the Star Wars universe with its female protagonists not relegated to second fiddle, but truly taking full control of the galaxy — on both the light and the dark side.
Ahsoka, created by Dave Filoni, based on the characters from the Star Wars animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels continues to build on the tone and energy of the original George Lucas trilogy, a style which has easily seeped...
