Lynett Vallejo
- Actress
Lynett Vallejo was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on December 26, 1991 to a military family. She is the eldest child of Bethy and Douglas Vallejo. Because her father is in the military, she's grown up in a few states, countries, and has traveled all over the world. Lynett is half-Vietnamese on her mother's side, Irish, German, and Spanish on her father's.
Lynett went to several schools growing up, but it wasn't until moving to Kentucky that acting caught her interest. Being an understudy in her high school shows "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" and Liat in "South Pacific" her junior year, Lynett desired to pursue this newfound interest. When her father was stationed in Italy, there was no theater program her senior year of high school. So when she was accepted into the University of Missouri, Lynett decided to pursue a theater performance degree there.
During college, she was cast in many shows. Some examples being Adult Women in "Spring Awakening", Titania in "A Midsummer Night's Dream", and Masha in "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike". She was also nominated three times to compete in the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship. During her final competition and senior year of college, Lynett made it to the finals round with her acting partner, and was awarded the Vocal And Speech Trainer's Association award for vocal performance excellence in January 2016.
Her first film role was as a CSI in "The Pardoners", a web-series film in 2011, but it was a non-speaking role with short screen time. She also did a local KIA commercial (2016) in Columbia, Missouri that was directed and produced by KMIZ ABC 17. After graduating college in May 2016, Lynett moved to New York City and has been cast as Thyia/Vio in "Atalanta" that will be part of the Midtown International Theater Festival in November.
