Born in South Wales to Glyn and Stella Pellard, Laurie developed an
interest in film at a young age. She attended Gwauncelyn secondary
school before completing a Media Arts degree at Royal Holloway,
University of London (2:1 Hons). Laurie has lived in London since 2005,
where she has worked at a variety of film companies.
Laurie has a twin sister call Jo. They call each other 'Vons' but have no idea why.
Laurie is heavily influenced by the Impressionist movement and has painted 'The Little Cat and the Lamp post', which currently (2012) hangs in the Matthews' Gallery in North London.
