Match #1: Chad Gable def. Sami Zayn The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
With Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa unwilling to break rules to help him, Chad Gable sent them both to the back. As Gable continued to berate Dupri and Tozawa, Zayn took advantage to hit a Blue Thunder Bomb, but was unable to come up with the victory. Gable locked on the Ankle Lock to try and get the submission victory but Zayn was able to make it to the ropes. Screaming at Otis to help him, Otis was conflicted before deciding against helping his leader. Once again, Gable slapped Otis for his insubordination. With Otis irate, he clobbered Zayn behind the official’s back. Gable then took advantage...

Match #1: 2024 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal – Winner: “Big” Bronson Reed The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
“Big” Bronson Reed etched his name in history as he won the 2024 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in thrilling fashion. Omos looked like the early favorite as he tossed out Kit Wilson, prompting Elton Prince to voluntarily eliminate himself to join his Pretty Deadly partner and avoid the wrath of The Nigerian Giant. As the field dwindled, Ricochet was poised to take control, but he was shockingly eliminated by Jd McDonagh, who was then promptly superkicked over the top rope by Akira Tozawa. Tozawa, Reed, Ivar and Otis were the final four Superstars, and the Aussie giant stood tall after eliminating the Viking Raider.

Match #1: Dijak def. Shawn Spears The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In a match with major Nxt Stand & Deliver implications, Dijak managed outlast Shawn Spears in an incredible one-on-one match between two of the brand’s best. As the two Superstars warred inside the ring, Joe Gacy appeared from under the ring and stole Spears’ signature steel chair, seemingly helping his former rival Dijak. After a brutal, hard-hitting affair, Spears went looking for his chair only to find it missing. The slight distraction gave Dijak enough time to recover and after another back and forth, he finally managed to hit Feast Your Eyes to give him the major win.

Match #1: #DIY def. The Creed Brothers The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Despite dominating during their time in Nxt, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa have never had a match at WrestleMania, and this seemingly spurned them to leave it all on the line. Brutus and Julius Creed wowed the WWE Universe, especially when Julius lifted from his knees into a standing vertical suplex, showcasing his raw strength. The Creed Brothers continued their punishing attack, sending Ciampa through the announce table area and leaving Pat McAfee speechless. Julius and Brutus caught their opponents with tandem ankle locks, but Ciampa and Gargano countered into a Sicilian Stretch and Gargano Escape. Gargano scored the pinfall after both teams went back-and-forth with pin attempts.

It has been a busy week for the WWE. Not only did the company announce a major move that will see its flagship weekly show move to Netflix in 2025, but the company’s founder Vince McMahon also found himself at the center of yet another controversy that led to his exit from the company. However, on Saturday, Jan. 27, neither of those stories will matter as the WWE superstars will compete in one of the most beloved matches of each and every year, the Royal Rumble. You will not want to miss any of the action when it kicks off on Peacock at 8 p.m. Et. In addition to the men’s and women’s rumbles, there will be a match for the United States title and the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. You can watch with a subscription to Peacock.

After Ricochet and Shinsuke Nakamura worked together to neutralize Bronson Reed and get him expelled from ringside early in the matchup, The One and Only overcame The King of Strong Style in a hard-fought matchup with the Shooting Star Press. Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly… Let’s see what went down on this week’s show. As usual we’re focussing on the televised Product not the rumours, news and speculation (which these days is all anyone seems to be talking about!)… Let’s get into it!
Match #1: Solo Sikoa def. Mustafa Ali The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Mustafa Ali came into the night looking for payback, but Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline were ready for a fight when they rolled into Raw. A tornado Ddt nearly gave Ali one of the biggest upsets in recent Raw history, but Sikoa kicked out and responded with a brutal Samoan Spike to secure the victory. Kevin Owens rushed the ring and delivered a Stunner that unleashed a brawl with The Bloodline that took over the night on the red brand.

Match #1: The Street Profits def. The Judgment Day The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After making their recent return, The Street Profits squared off with a team they had never faced in Finn Bálor and Damian Priest of The Judgment Day. Backed up by Akira Tozawa, The Profits controlled most of the matchup. The pace quickened to a frenetic degree after Priest hit Angelo Dawkins with a South of Heaven before he succumbed to a Frog Splash from Montez Ford. Dominik Mysterio, sporting sunglasses after Asuka’s blue mist attack from last week, had his eyes injured yet again after Tozawa threw liquid into his eyes. In the chaos, Ford took advantage and put away Bálor with a rollup to gain the win.

Match #1: Alexa Bliss def. Bayley The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Prior to Alexa Bliss’ high-stakes match against Bayley, Becky Lynch suddenly emerged to unleash a surprise attack on Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai and sent the Role Model’s Damage Ctrl cohorts heading for the hills. As a result, Bayley was left alone to face The Goddess of WWE without backup to determine Bianca Belair’s next challenger for the Raw Women’s Championship. In the final moments, The Est of WWE grabbed an untied turnbuckle to prevent Bayley from cheating. In the commotion that followed, Bliss took control and hit Twisted Bliss for the huge victory. Match #1: WWE Tag Team Championship – The Usos def. Matt Riddle & Kevin Owens The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After Elias was taken out by The Bloodline before Monday Night Raw got underway, Matt Riddle was looking isolated. Luckily for him, he found someone who dislikes The Bloodline as much as he does in the form of Kevin Owens. Ko and The Original Bro started off well, with The Usos being unable to thwart the offensive onslaught from the get-go. The longest reigning tag team champions turned the tide until a huge Swanton Bomb from Ko nearly upset the pecking order. After Bobby Lashley and Mustafa Ali both called their shots on United States Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins, the two would engage in a scuffle that could only lead to one thing: a match inside the squared circle. Ali took it to Lashley early but The All Mighty was in no mood and dispatched the young upstart with multiple Spinebusters, followed by a gargantuan Spear and a Hurt Lock to force the referee to call the match.

Welcome to this week’s review of WWE Raw, the company’s flagship show which this week follows one of the worst episodes of Smackdown I’ve seen in some time. And yes, that’s exactly what I said last week but the same applies to this week! Let’s see what this show has to offer…
Match #1: Raw Women’s Championship – Bianca Belair def. Carmella The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The margin of error could not have been tighter for this encounter as Carmella could win the Raw Women’s Championship via pinfall, submission or count out. A perennial thorn in the side of The Est of WWE, Becky Lynch made her presence felt before the match laying out the champion with a Manhandle Slam. Lynch scouted her competition from the announce table, as it was announced that the winner would face her at SummerSlam for the Raw Women’s Championship.

Moments after Dana Brooke recaptured the 24/7 Title from Akira Tozawa, Becky Lynch insisted that their match be restarted with the title on the line. A distraction by Asuka allowed Brooke to attempt the pin. As she did, The Empress held Lynch’s foot to ensure the three-count and give Dana her second huge victory of the night, this time over an irate Big Time Becks.

WrestleMania is within spitting distance (or rather reaching distance if we are being Covid conscious) but before we get there, we have the final road-themed WWE PPV on “the road to WrestleMania”, in WWE Fastlane. Now, going back across history, Fastlane has often been an up and down show, as the grandaddy of ‘em all’s big matches loom and seem to render much of this final stop PPV either as filler, predictable or the appetiser before the main course (or in this April’s case a two-night feast!). That said, this year’s line-up looked pretty decent, with many excellent workers paired up (Shinsuke Nakamura battling – on his pal Cesaro’s behalf – against Seth Rollins), some storylines set to receive a much needed boost (Randy Orton’s battle against The Fiend’s twisted devotee Alexa Bliss) and others set to change shape (Roman Reigns and Edge’s Daniel Bryan problem).

Bad Bunny picked up some wrestling silverware when he pinned Akira Tozawa on WWE’s Raw Monday night, February 15th.
The musician unexpectedly found himself the holder of the WWE 24/7 Championship belt, a unique prize that can be won or lost at any point by wrestlers and non-wrestlers alike, so long as there’s a WWE referee present. Bad Bunny won the prize during a bit that started with him doing a backstage interview with WWE star Damian Priest that was interrupted when Tozawa pinned R-Truth to take the 24/7 belt.

Hell, why didn’t they just go all the way and have six Cell matches? It’d save some time on lifting and lowering the cage if they just kept it down for the three hours. Besides, Vince mostly just does the Cell matches just once a year anyway. I just don’t wanna see more spots done from the top of it, especially since it doubled in size. Match #1: Shayna Baszler def. Bayley (Disqualification) The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Shayna Baszler was focused on making a case for a SmackDown Women’s Title opportunity, but Nia Jax helped her enter another championship picture. Following a backstage encounter, Jax entered after Baszler and watched from the WWE ThunderDome. A big knee strike from The Queen of Spades shook up Bayley and had her teammate Sasha Banks uneasy on the outside. Welcome to this week’s Monday Night Raw review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Covid-19 got jealous of Black Lives Matter and decided to go for round 2 here in the U.S.A. Well, that’s what happens when you quarantine in the middle of a pandemic, rather than at the beginning. Also, in order for a quarantine to work, you’d need to completely sanitize the area you’ll be staying in, as well as pumping in fresh oxygen to breathe, rather than just sucking back in the same tainted particles you just huffed out. Oh, masks don’t work because the germs are smaller than any hole you can reasonably make in a mask that still allows you to breathe through it, which means you can’t keep the virus out, no matter what you do. What’s that? You already knew that, because you’re not an idiot?...

I miss Columbo: “Well ma’am, before I go, I’d just like to commend you on owning that red-tipped putting wedge over in the corner. It always pays to have the proper equipment on hand, especially when you wanna go golfing. Also, the police say that your husband was murdered by a putting wedge…go figure. Oh, you might wanna check the paint on the putter…looks like it’s dripping off.” Columbo could save this terrible wrestling league… Alright, let’s get to the matches.

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Shad Gaspard did indeed drown when he sacrificed his life for his son during a rip-tide. He may not have been the best wrestler, but he seemed to be one of the good people in wrestling and that is a hell of a lot more important when it matters most. Larry Csonka’s death has cast the same sort of pall over the sport of professional wrestling (“fake” my ass). What a weird week this has been. Well, in honor of two people who seemed to be worth their weight in gold, let’s get to the matches.
Match #1: Karrion Kross def. Liam Gray The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Karrion Kross’ second match in Nxt looked a lot like his first: completely lopsided. Kross made short work of Liam Gray, submitting...

Welcome to this week’s Monday Night Raw review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Raw has a major announcement from Becky Lynch. That’s what I was gonna talk about not Alberto Del Rio. We’ve got new Money In The Bank contract holders. Would you like to go bowling?
Match #1: Bobby Lashley def. Humberto Carrillo – No Disqualification Match The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In a wild battle that saw steel chairs come into play, The All Mighty picked Humberto Carrillo out of the sky and forced him to tap out to a fearsome Full Nelson.
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was a fun way to watch people hurt each other for money. I wonder if John Stossel thinks that this part of the job is fake? Bl and Hc didn’t get too intense with this plunder-fight, but at least they didn’t make out at all…...

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Adam Cole defends the World Title against the Sagebrush Kid or what-ever the pervert calls himself. Are you ready..? For Annie Lennox? Ffffffffffffff— Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!
Match #1: Johnny Gargano def. Dominik Dijakovic The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The new attitude of Nxt’s resident power couple was on full display with Candice LeRae getting involved in this bout multiple times, including a distraction that allowed husband Johnny Gargano to remove the top turnbuckle. Johnny Wrestling later countered Dominik Dijakovic’s powerbomb attempt, sending The Rare Breed face-first into the exposed steel and making him a sitting duck for Gargano’s slingshot Ddt known as One Final Beat.
My Opinion: 3.4 out of 5 – There was some good wrestling in here, but it felt like merely a taste of what these guys can really do. The...

Welcome to this week’s Monday Night Raw review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I like that Asmr stuff. Jellybean Green is really good, but not baseball cards. I have a sign outside my home that says “One Way”, because there’s only one way out: In A Body Bag! Phantom Of The Paradise is a cool movie and Raw starts…at 8pm on the USA Network.
Match #1: Rey Mysterio, Aleister Black & Apollo Crews def. Andrade, Angel Garza & Austin Theory The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
At the climax of an action-packed Six-Man Tag Team throwdown, Apollo Crews pinned United States Champion Andrade to pick up the win for his team.
My Opinion: 3.5 out of 5 – This gets plenty of points for being quite good from a mechanical perspective, but this was missing that little extra spark to make this into a hit. The wrestling itself is smart and thorough,...
