John Early has set his first HBO special with “Now More Than Ever,” a stand-up comedy hour in the style of a “gritty ’70s rockumentary.”
Airing on HBO and available to stream on HBO Max on June 17, the special will feature “stand-up and explosive song covers from Britney to Neil Young, intercut with Spinal Tap-esque backstage sketches.”
Among his other credits including “Would It Kill You to Laugh?” and “Search Party,” Early is known for whipping out his famous Britney Spears impression on late night television. Perhaps he’ll reprise his rendition of “Lucky” or Spears’ lesser-known Christmas song “My Only Wish (This Year)” in the special.

Journalism, like all careers, is a rapidly evolving field due to how frequently technology and culture have changed. To truly succeed as a journalist nowadays, you need to present important or relevant stories in a way that captures the audience's attention. Perhaps there is no better example of how to succeed in this than the work of Andrew Callaghan and his YouTube channel, Channel 5. After reaching millions with its on-the-street coverage of both political and social events, Callaghan is ready for the big time thanks to a new documentary being released on HBO later this year.
"This Place Rules," airing on HBO on December 30, 2022, charts the young journalist's shift into more serious political reporting in early 2020. In a new trailer recently released by the cable network, Callaghan is seen attending Covid-19 lockdown protests and Black Lives Matter demonstrations, interviewing both advocates and dissenters. However, things start to get worrisome...

Peacock has unveiled the first trailer for Paul T. Goldman, a wild new comedy series from Borat Subsequent Moviefilm director Jason Woliner and Seth Rogen.
Woliner has been shooting the project for over a decade. It’s in the style of Woliner’s work on Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, a series “that fact and fiction to tell a bizarre and incredible tale.”
Woliner explains how he embarked on the project in a letter that accompanies that show’s announcement. He wrote that Goldman tweeted at him (and hundreds of others) in 2012 that he had written a book and screenplay about “an incredible tale” and was seeking help to bring it to the screen. Woliner ended up buying the book, and ten years later, we have the Peacock series which stars Goldman himself.
Woliner directs and executive produces the six-episode series. Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Loreli Alanis executive produce for Point Grey Pictures,...
