British tennis player Tara Moore has been cleared of any wrongdoing in an alleged case of doping following a harrowing 19 months of investigations.
Moore, primarily a doubles specialist these days and the highest-ranked Briton in doubles on the Wta Tour during her provisional suspension from tennis in April 2022, is now free to resume her career after a long-awaited verdict.
While competing at a Tour-level tournament in Colombia last year, Moore provided samples to doping officials that tested positive for nandrolone metabolites and boldenone, which are prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada).
On learning of her suspension, Moore vowed to prove she was a "clean athlete" and embarked on protesting her innocence. After a near two-year period of analysis, the independent tribunal found that the British player had eaten contaminated meat, the direct source of the banned substances.

Judy Murray has been in tennis for a very long time, and she's delighted to see so many players using their voices now.
It's not something that's been the case that much in the past due to the atmosphere during that time. Things have changed for the better now, and the tennis coach is delighted to see so many tennis players speaking up important things both in tennis and outside of tennis.
Coco Gauff is a rising star but also a person who isn't scared to tackle the most complicated topics during her interviews. Naomi Osaka has been a passionate advocate for mental health after her own experiences with that.
Ons Jabeur has tackled various things as well and remains a great role model for Arab women who are hoping to one day do the things she's been able to do in the sport. All of that is amazing for Murray,...

Details have emerged that Aryna Sabalenka 's fury in the aftermath of the 2023 US Open final defeat was part of the tennis docuseries Break Point.
Sabalenka lost in Saturday's final to American teenager Coco Gauff 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 , preventing the double coronation for the Belarusian star, who ascended to the top of the world rankings for the first time this week.
After the match, footage shared by Eurosport on X (formerly Twitter) captured the moment Sabalenka took out her anger on a tennis racket inside the US Open Player Spaces in the locker room, smacking it multiple times on the concrete turf before throwing it in the trashcan.
The short clip shown on TV and circulating online generated widespread controversy, with the tournament coming under immense criticism for releasing what ought to have been a private moment for the beaten finalist.

Aryna Sabalenka let out all the steam after her 2023 US Open final loss, but it wasn't on the Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Playing professional sports isn't easy, and while the physical toll on the body may be the most difficult part, many often underestimate the emotional pressure that players often feel, and while tennis offers a great chance to relieve those emotions , some prefer not to do it on the tennis court.
That was the case for Sabalenka's outburst at the 2023 US Open, as she didn't destroy her racquet on the tennis court after losing to 19-year-old Coco Gauff , instead, she was gracious in defeat, and never showed any negative emotion, instead, she fought tears with laugh during the trophy ceremony.
But once the Belarusian came to the locker room, a place where she expected no one would see her, she released all of the emotions, taking out one of her...

Andy Murray grew up with a mother that introduced him to the sport, and he'd like to see more female coaches in the sport.
Murray is a self-declared feminist who has called for more equality in tennis for pretty much his entire career. The Brit argued for many things and was one of the few tennis players to actually have a female coach while competing on the Atp Tour.
Most of the coaches in the sport are men, but there are plenty of good capable women who know tennis as well as anybody. Murray knows that very well from having a mother that essentially introduced him to the sport.
Me and my brother were very fortunate growing up that our mother was, is still, a tennis coach. We grew up with our mom coaching us and helping us. And she's still, you know, no all the time, but we will...

Judy Murray wants people to stop talking about the eventual retirement of her son Andy Murray as he still has plenty to give to the Atp Tour.
Andy Murray has given a lot to the sport of tennis but it seems like many people want to see him gone from it. Ever since Murray staged a comeback, the Brit's name has been dragged through the papers with the word retirement never too far away.
It's been a rather tiring discussion for Murray who had to shut down questions about his retirement many times in the past. Others pointed out that Murray has no reason to retire as he's still competitive and is playing pretty well. His mother Judy Murray also called on people to stop talking about his retirement.

Judy Murray is now an established author having published her novel 'The Wild Card' which tackles a very pertinent topic in sports.
Murray has a long history with sports and tennis, particularly as the 63-year-old served as the first coach for her sons Andy and Jamie. Both of them became professional players and established themselves among the best on Tour and the early influence from mother Judy proved crucial.
She's recently published a novel that tackles the topic of power abuse through the lens of a tennis player. It tells the story of a 17-year-old player who gets involved in a sexual relationship with her coach. The coach initiates the relationship while the player complies in fear of losing him.
It explores the power dynamic between a much older individual and a younger one. It's a fiction story, but Murray drew inspiration from many stories that have happened in the world of sports.

Andy Murray was able to share his special victory at Atp Challenger in Aix-en-Provence with his mother, Judy Murray, who managed to hop on a budget flight to the final.
Murray stormed to the Aix-en-Provence final, his first on clay in seven years, after defeating the likes of Gael Monfils and Harold Mayot in the earlier rounds. The 35-year-old then came back from a set down and defeated Tommy Paul in the final to secure his first Atp Challenger event victory since 2005.
Following the victory, Murray took in the moment with his team, including his mother Judy Murray, who is often seen in attendance at the former world number one's matches. However, Judy Murray later took great delight on Twitter in sharing the price of her plane ticket over to Marseille for the final.

Soccer Aid for Unicef 2021, broadcast live and exclusively on ITV, Stv and the ITV hub this evening from the Etihad Stadium, has raised a record-breaking £13,014,769 so far for Unicef’s vital work keeping children around the world, happy, healthy and able to play.
Robbie Williams, Usain Bolt, David Beckham
This record-breaking amount was raised thanks to the generous support of the UK public, ITV and Stv viewers, and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (Ciff) who matched all public donations up to £6.3 million, meaning double the difference for children. This figure has smashed all previous records for money raised on the night.
The eagerly anticipated match took place once again in Manchester, and this time players took centre stage at the sold out Etihad Stadium with 51,674 fans in attendance, in line with current Covid safety regulations, following last year’s match behind closed doors. The match ended 3-0 to Soccer...

For a visit to Bond Primary School in Mitcham, England, on Wednesday, Kate rewore her go-to tennis outfit — and she was last spotted in pieces of it when she wasn’t pregnant.
To play tennis with students who are a part of the Wimbledon Junior Tennis Initiative, she wore the Clarice Track Jacket from PlayBrave and the “Tuxedo Track Pant Black” pants from Montreal London, along with a pair of Women’s Nike Air VaporMax Flyknit Running Shoes.

Even paired with her very similar-looking daughter, Huppert seems disconnected from this dismal family drama. And as a tennis coach, she’s no Judy Murray
This lugubrious, laborious movie from Luxembourg director and co-writer Laura Schroeder gains some interest in the eerie similarity of its real-life mother-daughter star pairing. Isabelle Huppert appears opposite 33-year-old Lolita Chammah, her daughter with her ex-partner, the producer-director Ronald Chammah. Lolita is heartstoppingly like the younger Isabelle, and their scenes together have the uncanny look of a debate between Huppert’s older and younger selves. When Chammah lies down on a sun lounger wearing dark glasses, it is almost a filmic seance.
Unfortunately, Huppert is in the movie very little, perhaps a quarter of the running time, and seems a bit detached from the material – though this can get close to being a problem even with her very greatest performances. Huppert’s participation and the...

Oh dear: there's trouble in Strictly Come Dancing paradise. Judge Craig Revel Horwood has been stirring the pot by suggesting that pro Kristina Rihanoff was "gutted" to be paired with Daniel O'Donnell, while another report suggested that Oti Mabuse thought her celeb Anthony Ogogo was an "arsehole" before they started working together (Anthony's insisted that's not true).

Monday: Girls Can Code, 9pm on BBC Three
In a bid to inspire more girls to take up computer coding, this BBC Three two-part series combines the science of Tomorrow's World with the competitive chaos of The Apprentice. Five young women more accustomed to selfie snapping than website servers take on the male-dominated digital world.
BBC Radio 1 presenter Alice Levine (best known for Big Brother's Bit on the Side) hosts as the girls attempt to pitch their prototypes to the UK tech industry. No doubt leaving us viewers feeling old, but engrossed.

Claudia Winkleman might love Strictly Come Dancing - but don't talk to her about it when it's not on.
Speaking to the Telegraph, the presenter said that she forgets all about the show when she's not in the studio, even confusing dance names with sandwiches.
"Here's the thing," she explained. "When I come off the train, so to speak, I go into hibernation and forget that's what I do.
"If you said to me now, 'What's a cha-cha?', I would say, 'Is it a sandwich? A form of greeting?' But then tomorrow it all begins, and you enter a world of fake tans and heels and I am lost in it."
Winkleman added that the reason why she finds Strictly so appealing is because it's "joyous".
"You're watching someone learn something. I mean, the paso doble! It's people pretending to be capes," she said.
"And some celebrities have said to me,...

Has Peter Andre got the foxtrot Flava for the dance-floor? The 'Mysterious Girl' singer has been confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing and will join the likes of Jeremy Vine and Georgia May Foote for the BBC1 ballroom dancing competition.
But can the popstar actually dance? Will he set the dance-floor alight like the limber Caroline Flack, or be as stiff and as wooden as poor Judy Murray?
What better way to answer our own question than to dig out some of his memorable pop videos and live performances for a quick judge before Bruno Tonioli, Craig Revel Horwood and co do.
1. The hypnotising torso grind
Will Peter Andre be this year's Mark Wright? And how long will it take him to go shirtless and perform this trademark move from his classic music video for 'Mysterious Girl'?
2. The shirt removal move
Let's hope Peter is a touch smoother if he'll be...

Andy Murray recorded his 42nd win at Wimbledon yesterday (June 30), and also marked his 10th year at the biggest tennis tournament in the world.
There have been many stories of triumph, tears and tantrums since making his debut as a gawky teenager in 2005, peaking at his incredible win eight years later in July 2013. Here's a look back at his decade of putting us through the emotional wringer each summer.
2005
Result: Third round
Hair level: Scruffy but short
The year after triumphing at the Junior Us Open, Murray had won his first senior matches at Queens just two weeks before his first Grand Slam. It was truly the changing of the guard as Tim Henman lost in the second round, the first time he failed to get to the second week since 1995.
Despite the presence of Sean Connery in the crowd, Murray's inexperience wasn't enough to beat David Nalbandian in a thrilling five-setter.

Andy Murray wed girlfriend Kim Sears on Saturday. The couple tied the knot in Andy's hometown of Dunblane, Scotland. After exchanging vows at a 12th-century cathedral, they were cheered on by family, friends, and a large crowd of fans. The bride beamed in her bespoke Jenny Packham gown, which was hand-embroidered and featured Swarovski crystals, and she was flanked by bridesmaids in long pink dresses by the same designer. Meanwhile, the groom paid homage to his heritage in a traditional kilt. The guest list included British tennis player Tim Henman; Andy's mom, tennis coach, and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Judy Murray; and Andy's brother and fellow tennis pro, Jamie Murray. Following the ceremony, the group moved on to a reception at Cromlix House, Andy's country hotel. Andy popped the big question in November after a long-term courtship that started in 2005. In the years since, Kim has become a familiar face...

Thom Evans has enthused about Strictly Come Dancing's Mark Wright's surprising ballroom dancing skills.
The rugby star, who with professional partner Iveta Lukosiute became the fourth couple to exit the show in October this year, revealed he was impressed with dancing novice and reality TV star Wright.
Speaking to Digital Spy and others at The Sun's Military Awards in London last night (December 10), Evans admitted he couldn't predict a winner due to all the talent, saying: "This year the standard is so high, and the remaining contestants – any one of them can really win it.
"I'm really happy to see Mark doing so well because he's had no dancing experience whatsoever but you know, I can't call it at all."
When asked if he was annoyed that Judy Murray was still in the show after he left, he added: "No. I mean, I think Judy – she brought so much enjoyment in her own.

Judy Murray and her dance partner Anton du Beke have become the seventh couple to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing.
The tennis coach and her professional partner lost out in the dance-off to Casualty actress Sunetra Sarker and her partner Brendan Cole in the show's Blackpool special.
Murray and Du Beke had struggled in Saturday's live show, scoring 24 points for their Viennese Waltz to 'Let's Go Fly a Kite' from Mary Poppins and landing at the bottom of the leaderboard last night (November 15).
They were joined in the bottom two by Sarker and Cole, who scored 30 points for their samba to the Scissor Sisters' 'I Don't Feel Like Dancin''.
Both couples found themselves having to perform again after the judges scores and viewer votes were combined.
Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli all chose to save Sarker and Cole, with head judge Len Goodman adding that he agreed with their choice.

Zoe Ball had to apologise to viewers of Strictly Come Dancing last night (November 15) after judge Len Goodman appeared to swear live on air.
The incident occurred when Goodman was delivering his comments to Simon Webbe and his partner Kristina Rihanoff, who scored 38 points for their Argentine tango.
"I think it's this place," Goodman said, "something about the atmosphere, the audience are behind everyone – you come in here, the home of dance – f**k."
Ball, who was presenting the show in place of Claudia Winkleman for a third week, then apologised to viewers for the language, saying: "Len got a little bit carried away with the excitement of the dance, and I'm very sorry for the bad language."
Last night's special Blackpool show saw Blue singer Webbe and Rihanoff top the table along with singer Pixie Lott and her partner Trent Whiddon.
