With the first (of four) issues hitting comic book shops on April 19th from Dark Horse Comics, I caught up with Steve Foxe, who told me all about the origins of this new series, Vin Spencer, and some of his favorite creature features:
Are you someone who is uneasy or terrified around spiders? What inspired you to write this story?
Steve Foxe: Thankfully, I have zero personal fear of spiders.

If you’re a huge fan of superhero animation like myself, then odds are you were floored earlier today when the second trailer for Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse hit the web. And if that weren’t enough, we also learned Hailee Steinfeld is voicing the wildly popular Spider-Gwen!
While most of us were experiencing sensory overload due to witnessing the stunning visuals that accompany Miles Morales’ silver screen debut, there exist the few who were able to slow down and take in some overlooked details. Chief among those would have to be Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou, who shared the below image on Twitter.
From the look of it, the young man has drawings of both Batman and Superman posted above his table. Of course, the Dark Knight is captured quite simplistically and only part of Big Blue’s leg is on display, but it’s very obvious the burgeoning hero has an affinity for those two icons.
