This article contains spoilers for The Lincoln Lawyer seasons 1 and 2.
It is a tumultuous time in Hollywood currently. The Writer’s Guild of America has now surpassed 100 days of strike action, and SAG-AFTRA is showing solidarity right beside them. Many television and film productions have been put on hiatus, which begs the question – has The Lincoln Lawyer even been renewed at this juncture?
Ted Humphrey, showrunner for the Netflix hit, confirmed that he and his writing team had already been working on a season 3 before the WGA began their strike action. An official renewal has not been announced, and there may be a delay in production for obvious reasons, but chances still look good we’ll see Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) and his team again. And thanks to the precedent set by the Mickey Haller book series, we have a good idea of what to expect from season 3.

Ever since Mickey got Trevor off the hook in a murder trial, he has become the most wanted lawyer in the city of Los Angeles in a good sense, and so far, he’s enjoying the attention coming his way. The first episode is sort of like an extension of the season one finale, taking the plot forward from where it left off. What do they have in store for the viewers?

Mickey got himself from one conflict of interest into another in a day.
Lisa's case began on The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 Episode 3 as Mickey learned of the particulars and tried his own opinions to decide the best way to approach representing her or if he should represent her.
The biggest issue with this case was that there was a preexisting relationship between Mickey and Lisa, and as a result, there was a conflict of interest.
On one side, Mickey was a lawyer and had the discretion to decide which case he wanted to represent.
On the other side, he had a pretty intimate relationship with the client before her arrest. If he has feelings for her, that could greatly compromise his ability to represent her properly.
It could also have him in legal crosshairs as people who have feelings for another person are not known to be the best decision-makers...

The lawyer is back! He's sexier, more famous, and smarter, but trouble keeps following him for some reason.
We met a new Mickey on The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 Episode 1 who was still basking in the glory after winning the Trevor Elliot case. His professional life has never been better, and he tried to make an effort for the people in his personal life, especially those he'd hurt the most.
As the episode began, the camera panned into the infamous garage, and we met Mickey in a position we were yet to see him in. He was getting his butt kicked, and even if he tried to land some punches, the assailants were stronger because they outnumbered him.
That was a great way to start the season because it threw us into the deepest part of the future but held back, saving the conclusion for later. Instead, they took us back...

We have seen a lot of legal dramas like Suits, All Rise, and even the short-lived For the People. While they are quite entertaining in their own right, they can be quite similar.
That's why The Lincoln Lawyer was a breath of fresh air when it premiered in 2022.
The series follows Mickey Haller, a brilliant LA lawyer who runs his practice in the back of his car because if he needs to move around the city a lot for his client, he'd rather take the time to go over cases instead of driving.
After launching, the series was a hit among the audience thanks to the popularity of the books it's based on, and the show was well done with a great storyline and characters.
It cracked the coveted Top 10 on Netflix for weeks after the premiere, amassing 260 million cumulative minutes, and remained Top 10 in 90 countries.

Chris Gorham and Becki Newton revived their Ugly Betty characters Henry Grubstick and Amanda Tanen, respectively, for a couple of silly skits while working on the set of their new series, Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer.
In a video exclusive to Deadline (above), Amanda has spotted a man who looks identical to Henry, Betty Suarez’s (America Ferrera) boyfriend. While in shock, she calls up her bestie Marc (Michael Urie) to dish about this mysterious guy.
“Marc, it’s me. I have something important to tell you,” she tells the person on the line. “Grubstick has a twin who is really hot. I just saw him and I’m going to text you pictures all day. Ok, stay tuned.”
Gorham laughs while thinking about making the videos with Newton, who he says is one of the costars he’s seen regularly since his time on Ugly Betty ended. Although the...

(Warning: This post contains spoilers for Season 1 of “The Lincoln Lawyer” on Netflix.)
For Netflix’s adaptation of “The Lincoln Lawyer,” Christopher Gorham plays charismatic tech mogul Trevor Elliot, who is accused of murdering his wife and her lover. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo’s Mickey Haller inherits the case from another attorney after that attorney is found dead in a parking garage.
The series is based on the novels by Michael Connelly, and this season follows the story of the second book, “The Brass Verdict.” Now, if you know what that means (or you read the book), then you probably already figured out the end of the tale.
If not, then you might’ve been surprised when the show revealed that Trevor did commit the crime and, while he escaped a conviction, he couldn’t outrun karma. A brass verdict means that a guilty person faces consequences for their crimes outside of...
