Daniel Bastreghi
- Actor
Daniel was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He's acting passions blossomed
doing television commercials as a young man in Brazil. Tired of the
hardships of his hometown Sao Paulo he headed to Texas knowing only two
people and three words of English. Within 6 months he was fluent in
English and in less than a year he was enrolled in college. At age 21,
he ventured to Los Angeles and immediately got accepted at the
prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts where he earned his
degree. He's worked with numerous dialect coaches to reduce his accent
and improve his English to a standard American dialect. While
struggling in Los Angeles trying to break in and continuing to hone his
skills, he channeled his energy into writing and working part time in
the wine business. In 2009, drawing on his writing skills and work
experiences he co-wrote the original script of the movie Chateau
Meroux, which featured his debut role in a major motion picture as the
charming Romario.
