Laura Pantaline
- Camera and Electrical Department
- Second Unit Director or Assistant Director
- Director
Born in Poughkeepsie, New York in 1986, Laura realized her love of
performing in front of the camera at a very young age. By the age of
seven her parents- Robert and Kathleen- relocated to Vermont where
Laura spent the majority of her childhood. Much of her studies revolved
around the intent on majoring in marine biology in college, but shortly
after being cast as the lead role of the school plays "Oliver Twist"
and "Twelfth Night" Laura decided to focus her time on independent film
productions with friends. In 2007 she moved to Boston, Massachusetts to
attend the Massachusetts College of Art and Design as a double major in
Film/Video and Art History. The majority of her early film/video work
explored social deviance through the eyes of the deviants themselves.
More recent works focus on the genre of documentary and contain an
element of self-reflexivity; using found footage that includes
Pantaline Family home movies. All of her work maintains strong traces
of her ever sardonic sense of humor.
