Bryan Hickey is an actor, director, writer, producer, and editor.
Showing signs of early ambition and talent, Bryan began acting at the
age of eighteen during his senior year of high school. He made his
first short film at the age of twenty. The film was titled "Mormon
Massacre," a silent five minute comedy that that earned him a minor
backlash from members of the Mormon community for his blatant
misconceptions of their religious practices. After Massacre he went to
make a handful of other short comedies which included such works as "A
Meeting With A Gun" and "Doin' the Brando." The latter one being a
light hearted twisted comedy where he played a delusional version of
himself claiming to have fornicated with the great Marlon Brando. After
writing and participating in predominantly comedic works throughout
most his college career, he decided that is was time to work on
something a little more serious. In the Spring of 2011 he began to make
his first short drama entitled "The Good Son." A story about a young
conflicted boxer who struggled with contentions between himself and
members of his immediate family. The film was received with high praise
from his instructors and classmates alike and has gone on to be
submitted to multiple film festivals. Bryan went on to graduate from
Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree on
May 14, 2011 and has made plans to continue working in film industry,
both behind the camera and in front for many years to come.
