It's good to have professional goals in life. One of mine is to eventually review every licensed "Alien" board game ever released. Honestly, it's a more challenging proposition than you might think. Depending on how wide you cast the net, you might include out-of-print games like the 1997 "Aliens Predator Customizable Card Game" or 2015's "Alien vs Predator: The Hunt Begins." Even the first "Alien" board game — a 1979 Kenner release inexplicably positioned for ages seven and up — is hard to find outside of a drunken eBay splurge.
Thankfully, there's the (somewhat defunct) Upper Deck Entertainment license for those of us on a budget. I've previously sung the praises of "Legendary Encounters: An Alien Deck Building Game," which builds on the popular Legendary system to create fun adaptations of each "Alien" movie. But just as compelling is "Aliens: Bug Hunt," a 2020 release from designer Ryan Miller that combines dungeon crawler and tower...

Saint Drogo is the sophomore effort from Monster Makeup Productions, a filmmaking collective headed by co-director/co-writer/actor Michael J. Ahern, co-director/cinematographer/editor Ryan Miller, and co-director/co-writer/actor Brandon Perras-Sanchez. Having found an audience with 2020’s Death Drop Gorgeous between the festival circuit, distribution via Dark Star Pictures, and streaming on Shudder and Tubi, it would have been easy for the creators to cater to the same niche.
But, as boldly proclaimed by Saint Drogo‘s opening moments — in which a mysterious figure shrouded in a white robe looks on as a man spills his intestines onto the sand with a rusty blade — the Monster Makeup team were not interested in repeating themselves. Rather, they pushed themselves to refine their craft and explore new territory while remaining true to their roots: unapologetically queer, raw, do-it-yourself horror.

Drew Barrymore has been open about her experience with alcohol addiction, and her best friend Cameron Diaz recently shared how she “stuck with” her Charlie’s Angels co-star over the years. Here’s what we know about the two actors’ friendship and what Diaz said about Barrymore’s addiction.

Diaz and Barrymore have been close friends for many years, and they first met long before co-starring in the 2000 movie Charlie’s Angels. According to The Los Angeles Times, the two stars became friends when Diaz walked into a coffee shop where a 14-year-old Barrymore was working after a stint in rehab.
They went on to film Charlie’s Angels and its 2003 sequel, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle together.
In November 2022, Barrymore shared an Instagram photo of herself and Diaz to promote their merlot-themed products.

If you ever found yourself staring at an old childhood photograph, scrutinizing what your younger self was thinking in that moment, the idiosyncratically existential comedy “How It Ends” will leave a bittersweet aftertaste. Especially if you happen to catch this oddly sedative (if not tiresomely repetitive) Sundance 2021 premiere amid the loneliness of the ongoing pandemic. In the end, we’re all a little perplexed nowadays, just like the film’s protagonist, a woman negotiating with the past and hoping to tie her life’s loose ends on what appears to be the last day of human existence. And we all have been finding ourselves with more reasons than usual to nostalgically wonder what we could have done differently in the normal days, panicking about all the missed opportunities, as if an asteroid is about to wipe out the world as we know it.
Well, this is exactly what’s about...
