Channel 5 is to broadcast new series The Classic Car Show from February.
The 13-episode series, which is to look at the phenomenon of the classic car, will be fronted by founding Top Gear presenter Quentin Wilson and former model and racing driver Jodie Kidd.
Celebrity contributors - including the likes of Steve Coogan, Jennifer Saunders, David Gandy, Tinie Tempah and drivers Bruno Senna and Sir Stirling Moss - will add their thoughts on prestigious historic cars.
Wilson and Kidd will travel around the world to explore events like the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang in California and the Mille Miglia rally in Italy, while one episode will see resident driver Bruno Senna race ten classics around the track at the legendary Brooklands circuit.
Wilson said: "I'm delighted that Channel 5 will be showing The Classic Car Show. The global growth in classic cars, not just in terms of auction prices of high-end Ferraris,...

It’s not long now before the 2013 Formula One season kicks off in Melbourne and these pages will show my opinions on who should be the one to watch, the one to not watch and any surprises that could happen between Melbourne and Brazil on November 24th.
The season has already taken one major twist at the tail end of the grid with Luiz Razia being replaced almost as quickly as he was announced at Marussia by Jules Bianchi. The reason given by the team was lack of payment by sponsors but at least now Ferrari Academy driver Bianchi can finally get some F1 seat time.

Let’s face it some of the grid has to be at the back be it their generally ineptitude or the fact they haven’t got the machine to mount a decent challenge. Either way they can still...

Circuit of the Americas Summary
The last two races in this year’s season saw a brand new track for everyone and a classic which has been on the Grand Prix calendar for several years. Last week we saw F1 return to the USA at the new Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. With the circuit being freshly laid it made the track very interesting to drive on as it offered little grip to the drivers. Qualifying wise Vettel managed to snatch pole from a very fast Hamilton, and the other title contender Alonso, could only manage 7th. The race as a whole was great. Lots of overtaking, and very large run off areas made it an interesting race with some great moves throughout. Hamilton managed to pass Vettel for the lead to clinch his fourth victory but it wasn’t enough to impact on the title standings. Alonso...

An eighth different driver winning a race and this time it was the ever out spoken Kimi Raikkonen of Lotus. The Lotus team (formally Renault of course) hadn’t won a race since 2008, and it was Raikkonen’s first win since 2009 when he left to try his hand at rallying. He had mixed results in rallying so it is good to see the “Ice Man” back on top in F1.

The Fia have warned all the drivers about bad language during live interviews for the media. This comes about after both Raikkonen and Vettel swore in their post podium interview with David Coulthard. A spokesman for the Fia said there could be disciplinary actions in the future if another instance of bad language occurs during a live broadcast.
Caterham have a new Team Principal. Cyril Abiteboul has become the youngest team boss at just 35 years old. He’s younger than Michael Schumacher!

Kimi Raikkonen won the 2012 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix following Lewis Hamilton’s retirement and a late surge from Fernando Alonso’s Ferrari, his first win since the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix for Ferrari.
Raikkonen had looked quick all weekend – in practice, Lotus had displayed a strong race pace and the general consensus amongst the paddock was that Lotus were going to be a dark horse this weekend.
The same story showed again on Saturday however, as Lotus were again unable to deliver that single qualifying lap to put them at the front of the grid to challenge initially for the race win.
Following a poor start by Mark Webber, Kimi was able to jump into 2nd place before challenging Hamilton’s McLaren on the 2nd lap of the race. Meanwhile Alonso jumped Button for 5th place and then passed Webber for 4th.

Another win for Sebastian Vettel sends him 13 points clear of Fernando Alonso in the championship standings with only three races left. The Indian Grand Prix was the penultimate Asian race and we have the race in Abu Dhabi this weekend to look forward to before F1 moves to the Americas.

Nico Hulkenberg has signed for Sauber for the start of next season. He has impressed everyone with his great driving and overtaking this season for Force India, and is now destined for a team slightly higher up the order. The front runner in replacing Nico at Force India looks to be Adrian Sutil who used to race for the team prior to 2011. Jaime Alguersuari has been linked with either replacing Nico or joining him over at Sauber. Red Bull’s sister team Toro Rosso have confirmed that they are keeping both of their drivers next season. Red Bull seem to have made a habit of being consistent when they have been at the front end of the grid. South Korea has recently given us Gangnam style, a rather fun and interesting take on music, but the race wasn’t quite so energetic as the YouTube video would suggest. We had some great overtaking moves but overall it was quite an average race.

Massa should be safe with Ferrari until the end of 2013 after his good run of finishes in the latter half of this season. Various sources have linked Vettel with a move to Ferrari in 2014. Could Ferrari really deal with both Vettel & Alonso wanting to win the championship? Red Bull say they have Vettel under contract until the end of the 2014 season, so we shall wait to see what happens there.

Sebastian is the only driver this season to win back to back races. That shows you how good a season this one is. Seven different drivers have won a race compared to last year’s five. Vettel also managed to win back to back races on four separate occasions last year, whereas this year he is the only driver to manage that feat. This shows how much more competitive Formula 1 has become.

Lewis seemed to have gained his winning ways back, and this could possibly have put him back into championship contention. Going into the race around the Marina Bay Street Circuit Fernando Alonso had a 37 point lead over Hamilton in the championship and almost had the luckiest Ferrari since the Schumacher era. Alonso has been the most consistent so far with only one non points finish caused by a certain Frenchman trying to fly a car. The Frenchman in question, Grosjean, was back to racing after his ban so could he hopefully have some success for a change? Either way, onto the only night race in the calendar.
Qualifying
Speaking of the Frenchman Grosjean, he set the fastest time in Q1 guaranteeing himself a place in Q2 alongside his teammate Raikkonen who also posted an impressive first session time. Q1 saw the familiar faces of Hrt, Marussia and Caterham dropping out at the first qualifying hurdle.
