- Camera and Electrical Department
Hi there and welcome! My name is Remco Bikkers, and I'm a New York-based cinematographer who aims to not only meet expectations, but exceed them every time.
As a professional with 20+ years of filming documentaries and commercial film projects, I have worked with many renowned brands, including (but not limited to) Puma, Hi-Tec, Condé Nast, The Atlantic, and KLM, and enjoy creating raw yet aesthetically rich video compositions that leave wow-factor impressions.
A little bit about myself, I was born and raised in The Netherlands but later moved to NYC in 2010. Throughout my life, I have always admired the beauty of different cultures and the ability to capture real-life moments in a storytelling way. This passion inevitably became the catalyst for me to pursue a career in cinematography. Since then, I have spent the past two decades filming and traveling the world, diligently creating documentaries across the social-political, economic, and human-interest sectors along with fulfilling commercial filming objectives. Overall, from going on a Charles Darwin global foot-stepping expedition, to develop a 10-episode documentary about the US 2020 elections to everything else in between, every shot I make is strategically designed to convey a deeper meaning than the story itself.
As a filmmaker driven by cinematic values, nothing makes me happier than delivering my commercial clients and dynamic audiences the compelling visual experiences they deserve. I designed my services on a foundation of authenticity and am passionate about making innovative productions that intrinsically captivate and provoke invested attraction on both a personal and professional level. This, in conjunction with my keen attention to detail and perfectionist nature, is what shaped me into the respected cinematographer I am today who continuously strives to raise the industry standards bar.
In the end, I love what I do and am always staying updated with the latest technical developments - especially when it comes to ARRI, RED, and Sony. And when I'm not working, you can often find me out traveling, swimming, and biking in my free time.
