Formed in the Pernambuco Conservatory of Music, by the idea flutist
'Sergio Campelo', artistic director and arranger of the group, the Sá
Grama movement's influence has armorial ('Sergio Campelo' was Romançal
Quartet), the group makes a rereading of popular music with classical
garb. Launched the first record in 1998, the stamp LG Projetos e
Produções Artísticas, this album was a finalist at the Prêmio Sharp
that year and won the Prêmio Aeso de Cultura Pernambucana. Also in
1998, did the soundtrack for the mini-series 'O Auto da Compadecida'
from 'Ariano Suassuna' (opens 1999). The following year, launched
Engenho, the second disc. and 2002, Tábua de Pirulito. The group is
formed by 'Sérgio Campelo', 'Gilberto Campello', 'Jônatas Zacarias',
'Antônio Barreto', 'Frederica Burgeois', 'Cláudio Moura', 'Fábio
Delicato', 'Neide Alves' and 'Thiago Fournier'.
