Are you ready to delve back into the world of the Roys?
According to creator Jesse Armstrong, writing for Succession Season 4 is almost complete.
"We’re almost done with the writing for Season 4, here in London, with the American writers coming over,” he shared, according to Radio Times.
“They’re a really great group of people to talk about the nuances of character and the world and what we’re doing on the show.”
Armstrong also addressed a potential end date for the hit HBO series, noting that it's not in the near future.
“I don’t think it should go on forever, but we’re still having fun at the moment,” he shared.
While many shows lose buzz as the series goes on, Succession is an exception to the rule, with the ratings and buzz increasing with each season.

“Succession” is a little closer to returning for its fourth season.
Over the weekend, at the BAFTA TV Awards, executive producer Jesse Armstrong shared an update on how writing the fourth season is going (the show was renewed for a fourth season last October).
“We’re almost done with the writing for Season 4, here in London, with the American writers coming over,” he said, per Radio Times. “They’re a really great group of people to talk about the nuances of character and the world and what we’re doing on the show.”
When the writers meet, however, that won’t mean completion of the scripts. Armstrong, who created the HBO show, said they do talk with the actors about their story arcs because “they’re smart and they think things about their character.”
Armstrong also spoke out about — at some point — concluding the series about the ultra-wealthy media and cruise line family The Roys,...

Casey Bloys, head of content at HBO and HBO Max, said Tuesday that he could no more name his favorite HBO show than chose a favorite child. However, he told a crowd at the Museum of Natural History: “I will tell you if you have kids this is kind of like a very bright, very gifted, very attractive child who goes to an Ivy League school and does cancer research and falls in love with someone from a very wealthy family, and wants to spend every weekend with you, and maybe name their kid after you. So no favorites, but a very, very nice child to have.”

“Succession,” which launches its third season Oct. 17, is not a show that will back away from a challenge.
The end of the second season radically clarified the series’ vision. Though the relationship between patriarch Logan (Brian Cox) and son Kendall (Jeremy Strong) had long been a central concern, their bipolar power struggle over the future of the family company felt less reinvigorated than reimagined at season’s end. And in the first seven of nine episodes of Season 3 — perhaps the show’s most sharply observed run so far — “Succession” probes the contours of its new reality.
Kendall’s public declaration of his father’s culpability in various scandals has split the Roy family, and the show, in two. In Loganland, an unsteady titan attempts to stabilize his position. And in Kendall’s corner, instability is to be relished. Swirling around the patriarch are his other children — the obsequiously crass Roman...

“Succession” creator/showrunner Jesse Armstrong wants to save you the time of feverishly pouring over the show’s main title credits for any clues about what’s to come in the new season.
The show’s opening credits, which feature a memorably haunting score by composer Nicholas Britell, features photos that are supposed to depict the Roy family’s earlier years. But that’s all it is, Armstrong says.
“We look carefully at the titles, we’re not in the habit of trying to really ferret away little clues, but it’s nice when things join up in the show,” Armstrong said Wednesday during the show’s Television Critics Association press tour panel. “We all have quite a detailed knowledge of this business in this world, and sometimes fragments fit together for people. But we’re not a super Easter Egg’y operation. That’s a cool thing some people do.

According to most experts and Gold Derby users, “The Crown” will win Best Drama Series at the Emmy Awards this weekend, one year after “Succession” took top honors in the category. But based on the official trailer for “Succession” Season 3 that HBO dropped on Friday, don’t think the former drama champion will be anything but a serious contender to regain the crown in 2022.
The highly anticipated show returns to HBO on October 17 and picks up where things left off two years ago: with Kendall Roy (Emmy winner Jeremy Strong) in full battle against his father, Logan Roy (Brian Cox), over control of Waystar Royco. The new trailer details the tangled web Kendall spun when he sandbagged Logan on the national stage and placed blame for the company’s cover-up of criminal activity on its cruise lines at the Roy patriarch’s feet.

HBO’s Emmy winner “Succession” is confirmed to be making its long-awaited return for Season 3 this October, but don’t expect to see the Roy family navigating the pandemic when the new season begins. While many series on television and streaming platforms have found ways to incorporate the pandemic, “Succession” Season 3 will sidestep Covid and carry on business as usual. Creator Jesse Armstrong wrote the third season before the pandemic and did not change the scripts during it.
A new report from Vulture on “Succession” Season 3 confirms: “[Creator Jesse] Armstrong decided early on that the season’s finished scripts wouldn’t be rewritten to incorporate the ongoing pandemic. ‘These are really wealthy people,’ says [Shiv Roy actress] Sarah Snook. ‘And unfortunately, none of the world’s really wealthy people were going to be affected by the pandemic.'”

In the final scene of the second season of HBO’s “Succession,” Kendall Roy (Jeremy Strong) betrayed his father, Logan (Brian Cox), by staging a coup for control over Waystar RoyCo at the press conference at which he was supposed to take the fall for all of the company’s misdeeds. Logan had demanded a “blood sacrifice” after the catastrophic congressional hearings about the rapes and deaths on the company’s cruises, all of which had been covered up. Kendall had been designated the best candidate for blame, and Logan then twisted the knife by telling him he wasn’t enough of a “killer” to run the company.
But Kendall had different plans.
“This is the day his reign ends,” Kendall said to the shocked attendees of the press conference, and, in turn, the viewing audience. In the final shot of the season, Logan, watching from a yacht in the Mediterranean,...

Don’t ever count Kendall Roy out, even when he’s going up against someone as fierce as his own dear old dad, Logan Roy. The second season of HBO’s smash hit “Succession” ended with Jeremy Strong’s Kendall, the favored whipping boy of the Roy dynasty doing something nuts: finally standing up for himself and refusing to take the fall for the misdeeds of the entire Waystar Royco empire.
In a shocking twist in a series that delights in them, Kendall opted to use a press conference to a) not do what his daddy had told him to do and b) establish himself as a Roy to be reckoned with. So what now? As the Emmy-winning juggernaut readies to roll out its third season, the Kendall versus Logan battle royale shows zero sign of abating, and this first trailer hints at a season set to be dominated by...

The first teaser for Succession Season 3 is finally here, featuring all the Roy-on-Roy family infighting we’ve come to expect from the Emmy Award-winning series.
Picking up from Kendall Roy’s betrayal of his father at the end of Season 2, Logan Roy must now scramble to secure allegiances within his family and corporation. Roman, Shiv, and Connor must now choose between siding with their brother or with the Waystar RoyCo patriarch.
“He’s our dad, but he was gonna send me to jail,” Kendall tells his siblings in the teaser.

HBO just made your day — and possibly your summer. Either way, Tuesday’s release of the first “Succession” Season 3 teaser will have to tide fans over until the fall premiere.
You may not believe this, but the third season of “Succession” is all about power plays within the Roy family’s media empire, pitting prodigal son Kendall (Jeremy Strong) against self-made magnate and family patriarch Logan (Brian Cox). Ok, so you definitely can believe that, because it is also the plot of Seasons 1 and 2. To be clear, we are most certainly not complaining.
As Kendall and Logan battle for control, Shiv (Sarah Snook) is making moves of her own, and her allegiance can be bought for the right price.
Ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall at the end of Season 2, Logan Roy begins Season 3 in a perilous position, scrambling to secure familial, political and financial alliances, HBO’s logline reads.

“Succession” fans have been waiting well over a year and counting for the HBO Emmy winner to return for its third season, and now comes word from writer and executive producer Georgia Pritchett that the series might not have much of a life beyond the upcoming batch of new episodes. In an interview with The Times to promote her new memoir, “My Mess Is a Bit of a Life,” Pritchett revealed “Succession” creator Jesse Armstrong is only eyeing one more run after season three.
“I think the maximum would be five seasons, but possibly more like four,” Pritchett said. “We’re at the end of filming season three, so at this point Jesse is saying only one more. But that happens every time. We’ve got a good end in sight.”
Pritchett was brought on to “Succession” by Armstrong after the two worked together on two Armando Iannucci comedy series:...

Production for season three of HBO's Succession is well underway, and it looks like we'll be seeing some new faces. Adrien Brody is the latest star to join the cast, which includes Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook, Hiam Abbass, and Nicholas Braun. If Mortal Engines succeeds at anything it’s officially ending any chance of the original blockbuster existing in cinema from this point forward. Although the writing has been on the wall for a significant amount of time now, the Peter Jackson produced vehicle ultimately cements the death of a much-needed ideal in cinema.
Mortal Engines isn’t horrendous, nor is it quote-unquote “bad”, it’s just a calamitous bore from start to finish. Opening in such an effulgent and prolific manner undoubtedly engaging the full concentration of its audience with a tremendous scale and scope of outstanding visuals, but never from that moment forward can it successfully surpass such a...

I’ve been pretty excited about seeing producer Peter Jackson’s epic new film project Mortal Engines. I’ve really enjoyed everything that I’ve seen in the trailers for the film and what we see in those trailers is exactly what this movie delivers.
If you like what you’ve seen from the footage that has been shared, chances are you’re going to enjoy the movie. If you’ve scoffed at the trailers, and you think the movie looks like it’s going to be a silly and/or piece of crap movie, then that’s what you’re going to get.
With a movie like Mortal Engines, you just can take it too seriously. You’ve kinda got check your brain out at the door. This is an epic and adventurous popcorn flick, and I personally enjoyed the hell out of it! I loved the massive scale...
