"You can't stop this. It's too big." Sony Pictures has revealed an official trailer for an action thriller sequel titled One More Shot, which will be out direct-to-video (and on VOD) in a few weeks. This action-packed high-octane thriller continues right where One Shot left off - it's a sequel to that one-long-take movie, using that same real time action gimmick all over again. Following the attack on the black site in Poland, Navy Seal Jake Harris is ordered to escort terrorist suspect Amin Mansur to Washington D.C for interrogation. As they're chased through the airport terminal by ruthless terrorists, Harris will have to use all his battle-honed skills to survive. Scott Adkins returns to star as Harris; he's joined by Michael Jai White, Tom Berenger, Meena Rayann, and Alexis Knapp. This trailer doesn't confirm if it actually is one-long-take again, but the countdown time seems to indicate they're...

Spyder Dobrofsky is probably not a name you would expect to see credited on Christmas-themed TV movies, but that’s exactly how Dobrofsky got started out, working on the scripts for such flicks as The Housewives of the North Pole and One Christmas Wish, as well as Mom’s Day Away. When he made his feature directorial debut, it was on a movie called Spiral, which was something you’d expect to see a Spyder credited with: a mystery thriller. Now Deadline has broken the news that Dobrofsky is working on a holiday horror movie called Down Below… and he has assembled a solid cast for the project. The legendary Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight) stars alongside Bai Ling (The Crow), Alexis Knapp (Pitch Perfect), and Doug Jones, who is best known for his creature (or heavily made up) performances in films like The Shape of Water, Hellboy, and Hocus Pocus.

Coming soon from High Stake Entertainment, Eric Roberts was recently set to star in Down Below, and Deadline reports today that Doug Jones (Hocus Pocus 2) will also star.
Additionally, Bai Ling (The Crow, Crank: High Voltage) and Alexis Knapp (Pitch Perfect, Project X) have joined the cast of the horror movie, which is set on Christmas Eve.
Spyder Dobrofsky is directing the psychological horror movie.
“The film centers on a young sheriff and a criminal suspect who find their lives intertwined when both become haunted by a sinister force on Christmas Eve.
“Eric Roberts portrays a intelligent police psychologist, who’s having a tough time with his current patient, a cop recently suspended for an act of violence on a civilian.”

Specialty film rollouts continues to accelerate with Chinonye Chukwu’s Till, Park Chan-wook’s Decision To Leave and A24’s Stars At Noon joining releases from previous weeks to populate theaters as awards season gathers steam.
Till, from United Artists Releasing, world premiered at the ongoing New York Film Festival to stellar reviews. It opens on 16 screens in five markets – NY, LA, Chicago, Atlanta and Washington, D.C. The story of Emmett Till, a 14-year-old lynched in 1955 while visiting cousins in Mississippi, is an emotional one, and a tough one. But explicit violence is something Chukwu determinedly left out of the frame, focusing instead on Deadwyler’s Mamie Till-Mobley, Emmet’s mother, as she pursues justice for her son. Word of mouth, that this is first and foremost a poignant, powerful cinematic journey about one person changing history, will be key.

"The Devil himself never takes possession, he sends one of his agents." Screen Media Films has revealed an official trailer for an indie horror thriller titled The Accursed, made by filmmaker Kevin Lewis (of Nicolas Cage's Willy's Wonderland most recently). Not to be confused with the other horror film also known as The Accursed released last year - this one is about a demon taking over an old woman in a cabin. Elly is asked by a family friend to look after an elderly woman who is living in a remote cabin for a few days. She agrees, but soon discovers there is a demon hiding in the woman just waiting to break free. Uh oh. The horror film stars Mena Suvari, Sarah Grey, Sarah Dumont, Meg Foster, and Alexis Knapp. This looks like it does get super horrifying at the end when the demon wants out and is tired of waiting.

Kevin Lewis will follow up “Willy’s Wonderland” by directing “The Accursed,” a new horror movie about demonic possession that its creators predict will be like if “Sam Raimi and Dario Argento had a love child and James Wan was its uncle.”
Mena Suvari (“American Beauty”), Sarah Grey (Netflix’s “The Order” and DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow”), and Alexis Knapp (“Pitch Perfect” franchise) head up the cast, which also includes Meg Foster (“The Lords of Salem”) and Sarah Dumont (“Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse”). “Willy’s Wonderland,” an action-comedy horror film, became a pandemic era favorite when it was released on VOD and in limited theatrical release last February.
Rob Kennedy (“Midnight Man”) penned the screenplay for “The Accursed.” According to the official description, it centers on a young woman who faces a horrifying past. When her estranged mother dies by suicide, Elly (Grey) is forced to return home from volunteering as a nurse abroad.

As Hollywood crawls toward some version of normalcy amid the coronavirus pandemic, we at Variety have been curious about how the day-to-day work of film and television production would resume. After an invitation from two indie film producers — Maurice Fadida and Eric B. Fleischman — to visit the set of “The Knocking,” I was able to observe the meticulous new protocols in action.
It’s a slog, the business of keeping people protected in a highly tactile and collaborative environment, especially for independent filmmakers. The producers estimated that safety measures cost as much as 10% of their production budget, and resulted in additional shooting days. Talent and artisans are also increasingly isolated, they told me, as the busy life of the film set has been replaced by video conferences and solitary meals in cars. Talent and artisans are also increasingly isolated, they told me, as the busy life of the film set has been replaced by video conferences and solitary meals in cars. Craft services is no longer a delicious group hang, but a single-serve food and drinks. The makeup trailer...

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe‘s electric chemistry in Cruel Intentions — which turns 20 on Tuesday — should come as no surprise: the pair were a real-life couple during the making of the teen sexual thriller.
While moviegoers were caught up in the 1999 boarding school drama that unfolded with their characters Sebastian and Annette onscreen, Witherspoon and Phillippe were well on their way to creating a family together.
The two met in 1997 at the actress’ 21st birthday party. The Big Little Lies actress recalled their meeting in a 1998 interview with Jane.

With so many stars in show business today it’s a little difficult to give praise to all of them when the top names get most of the attention. Alexis Knapp has been close to the top before, in fact in 2012 she was ascending pretty nicely with her career, but as time went on she kind of went to the background again and has been going back and forth for a little while now. There’s no denying she’s earned her place, but the wealth of talent in show business is hardly a set thing since people are constantly rising and

Let's get Golden Globes weekend started out right! On Friday night, Laura Dern, Billie Lourd, Jamie Chung and more stores turned out for the official launch of Moët & Chandon's third Annual Moët Moment Film Festival at Poppy in West Hollywood, Calif. The fête honored this year's Mmff lead judges, Dern and Lourd, who just so happened to be co-stars in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Some of the other stars in attendance were Alexis Knapp (Pitch Perfect), Pollyanna McIntoch (The Walking Dead), Amanda Brugel, Danielle Campbell, and Kelsey Asbille, Broderick Hunter (Insecure), Nolan Funk, Jon Tenney and others. This month we’ve been talking about the middle of a trilogy while another trilogy finishing up hasn’t been getting a whole lot of attention, perhaps because it’s a rarity among trilogies in that it’s not a block buster action one or in the horror genre. It’s a comedy. But three’s not been the magic number for The Hangover or Meet The Parents (which came to a most unfunny conclusion with Meet The Fockers). Perhaps the quality that makes this trilogy even more unique will be its saving grace. You see it’s a musical comedy, well really a comedy set in the world of music. Acapella harmony competitions. Back in 2012 the producers of this under-marketed low-budget flick probably never thought that it would spawn two follow-ups. But here we are, over five years later, as the ladies warm up their pipes for Pitch Perfect 3.

The Barden Bellas have graduated and moved out of their dorms, and on with their lives—away from Barden University, away from their stewardess-chic aca-uniforms, and away from each other. For most of them, though, post-college life has not been all that peachy-keen. Pitch Perfect 3 opens with Beca (Anna Kendrick) in her apparent dream job as a music producer, though we quickly find out she loathes it—and for good reason. Just as Beca’s career implodes, Chloe (Brittany Snow)—an Og Barden Bella also hitting rock bottom—demands that they, along with Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson), attend the Barden Bellas a cappella reunion that evening.
At the reunion, we find that while Chloe aspires to be a veterinarian—her day job stinks. Pilot hopeful Cynthia (Ester Dean) has flunked her latest flight test. Aubrey (Anna Camp) hates her job as a camp director. Stacie (Alexis Knapp) is eight months pregnant.

Rebel Wilson attempted to sing classic Christmas songs using Google Translated lyrics on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
For "Deck the Halls" (translated: "The Homes Are Covered"), the Pitch Perfect 3 star sang, "the homes are covered with the bush; par alar alar, alar alar alar." Lines like "gay apparel" were translated literally to "untroubled garments."
Fallon also tried singing "Bells Make Sounds" to the tune of "Jingle Bells." And later, the pair duetted on "Walking in a Winter Wonderland," which translated to "I Ran Through the Land of Cold Unknowns.

Ryan Phillippe is suing his former girlfriend Elsie Hewitt after she alleged that the actor had brutally beaten her this summer.
The actor, 43, filed the documents on Nov. 17 as a response to Hewitt’s own lawsuit that claimed he had been abusive toward her.
In court documents obtained by People, Phillippe’s lawsuit denies the allegations, claiming Hewitt “broke into Phillippe’s home in the middle of the night without permission” and “fabricated a story in an unjustified attempt to extort money” from him to help her modeling career.
People has reached out to both Phillippe’s and Hewitt’s attorneys.

Ryan Phillippe‘s ex-girlfriend Elsie Hewitt is accusing the actor of having physically abused her on July 4 — and her tweets from that time hint at personal turmoil.
Hewitt, a 21-year-old model, filed a civil lawsuit Monday against Phillippe, 43, for allegedly kicking, punching and throwing her down the stairs after an argument.
Phillippe denies the incident, and on Tuesday, authorities closed the criminal investigation without filing charges.
“As a staunch advocate for the health, well-being and equality of women, Ryan is completely devastated that these false allegations have been made and circulated,” the actor’s rep said in a statement to People.

Ryan Philippe is getting candid.
The Shooter actor, who has spoken publicly about his battle with depression, is broaching the topic of how it should be treated. In a recent interview with Women’s Health, he opened up about the fact that he doesn’t think a one-size-fits-all approach works.
“I believe that depression and mood disorders are on a spectrum akin to the way autism is, where it’s an individual experience,” he said. “I think people fear being stigmatized or treated in a blanket fashion, which is sometimes the response to someone who says, ‘I struggle with depression.

For Ryan Phillippe, playing a dad in his new thriller Wish Upon didn’t take too much research.
In the film, he plays the father of 17-year-old Clare Shannon — and in real life, the actor has a 17-year old daughter of his own, Ava Elizabeth, with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon.

Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for Pitch Perfect 3 and if you're a fan of the franchise, you'll like what it has to offer. I've actually kinda enjoyed the Pitch Perfect films and this next sequel looks like it will be just as fun as the first two. I know they aren't for everyone, and they aren't the best films ever made, but they've managed to entertain enough people to get the studio to want to make a third film.
