- Was first on location October, 2008 in Miami, Florida as an extra on the Burn Notice Season Finale. Seen 30 seconds into the episode leaning against a wall alone and holding a newspaper. Later, while standing next to an old Plymouth convertible with Sharon Gless and Bruce Campbell inside, he thought how he'd like to call his (late) parents and tell them where he was.
- Being very sentimental, Alan still owns the watch his family gave to his (late) father on his 50th birthday in 1972. Refurbished, he wore it on the '70's era pilot of Hoke, along with a 1980 pinkie ring from an old flame.
- When Director Scott Frank for the '70's era 'Hoke' saw my photo, he picked me for a background Detective. Apparently he wanted people that could look like they could be from the 1970s. Not a stretch at all. I've had this look since the 1970s.
- [On playing Dad to William Levy, A Change of Heart]: It was pretty easy for me and not a stretch at all. Just stand around, look good, do what you're told and don't speak. Just like when I was married! Although, I did say 'Yes, Dear' a lot to my Wife.
- The greatest part of being an Actor / Extra is stepping into someone else's role in life. To seamlessly glide along in a scene as that actual person and have your audience believe that You belong there .... that is a great feeling of accomplishment.
- Everything we have done up to this point to prepare and place ourselves in a position to succeed ... is for this very moment. Chasin'CameraTime
- Cary Grant is gone, Robert Wagner is too old, and you can't afford Clooney. And I can be had for much less.
