Kassandra Helen Lombard was born and raised in the Air Force
to Mother Vera Maddox Lombard and Father MSgt John Bertrand Lombard, Flight Mechanic of New Orleans, LA on October 23, 1962 at Ellsworth AFB, Rapid City South Dakota as the second eldest of 6 Children.
After careers in the medical field and corporate finance, she took those people skills, financial, corporate and administrative background to fashion a new
career in Entertainment while adopting the pseudonym Auset Aswad. The
first opportunity came with a position with the financial management
company for LA Face Records / Carter Turner & Co. in Atlanta GA. From
there she attended UCLA's TV/Film/and Video Production department in
the school of Entertainment Studies and Performing Arts. Obtaining
experience at Saban Entertainment's Fox Family Channel, The Directors
Guild and as an Independent Television Producer for 10 years in Long
Beach, CA Writing, Producing, Directing and Hosting Rising Star, The
Hip Hop Kronicle, and New Generations. After researching the
Documentary "A Great and Mighty Walk", Auset pursued an internship with
its' producer, Amen Ra Films, which turned permanent before the 10 year
Production company became defunct. After relocating to Brooklyn New
York to attend New York University Film School, Auset became Health
columnist/Dvd Producer for Brooklyn Hip Hop Publication 4 Korners News,
published poet in Lyrical Times and Saving our Babies: An Anthology.
The next Feature film opportunities were Hardrock (a Lions Gate Film)
as Line Producer and Location Manager and Master Killers as Line
Producer and casting assistant. TIME and TIME Again and Time Remains
are 2 New York University Student Film Shorts created, written and
Produced by Auset experimenting with two different directors on the
same story. Diaspora TV and Good 2 U are the Television ventures Auset
Co-Produced/co-wrote/co-created/and Co-Directed in New York City.
