South African filmmaker Darrell Roodt (also the director of Winnie - the Jennifer Hudson Winnie Mandela film) has signed on to direct a found-footage thriller that will be set in South Africa - Johannesburg specifically, from a script penned by an American screenwriter, Tyler Hisel, titled Safari. The film will center on a group of American tourists stranded in the "South African wilderness," as the synopsis states, and will star Rocky Myers, Kim Argetsinger, Chloe Kirby and Robert Watkins; none of them is black, by the way, as I'm sure you're wondering.
