Q: I'm curious about Project Runway's Christopher Straub. The ring he wears suggests he has a husband / partner / significant other. What details might you know on this? Every time Heidi had him in tears, I found myself strongly torn between wanting to give him a hug and going all Cher on him. – LgH, Houston, TX, Usw, Earth
Christopher Straub
A: “I am married!” Straub tells the Flying Monkey. “Well, not legally, but Ronnie and I had a commitment ceremony two-and-a-half years ago. We've been together for over five years. He's a little scientist, and we really don't understand what each other does for a living.”
I asked what the two of them do for fun. “We like to travel, watch TV – I like reality shows and he...

While tonight marks the first part of the Project Runway finale, we're still reeling from last week's double elimination. Gordana Gehlhausen already expressed her thoughts on getting the boot for her design, but now let's hear from Christopher Straub.
Throughout season 6, we've seen the guy break out in tears when he landed in the bottom spots for a challenge. Despite all that, he's already managed to make his mark in the fashion industry. Well, this Project Runway wrapped up ages ago so he had lots of time to focus his efforts on being a success.

Following his elimination last week, Project Runway's resident tear factory, Christopher Straub, stopped by TVGuide.com. Of course, the first question was about his waterworks. Find out what the self-taught designer had to say about his lachrymose ways and why he thinks he has more of an "art take" than a "fashion take" on things. Plus, find out what he's planning in accessories.

The five remaining designers on Project Runway take part in a challenge that determines who goes to New York Fashion Week on this week's episode. Last week's winner Althea Harper says that she and castmate Irina Shabayeva "aren't really speaking, because she's accused me of copying". Heidi Klum previously asks both contestants during the runway show who came up with the idea for an oversized sweater, which Althea claims that she did. "I'm very competitive and I'm very outspoken. I've also said that I won't say anything behind your back that I wouldn't say to your face," Irina notes of the incident. The last remaining male designer Christopher Straub admits that "it's a little lonely in the boys' room". Klum informs the competitors that "Fashion Week is at your fingertips" and (more)...

The six remaining contestants on Project Runway worked on a companion piece to complement a previous winning design on the latest instalment. The two remaining male designers Logan Neitzel and Christopher Straub discuss their progress on the show. Logan feels "like it's time for us to step out of our comfort zone", while Christopher admits that his designs have "been all over the place". Last week's winner Irina Shabayeva says the male-to-female ratio is beneficial. "The fashion business is so dominated by men and that sucks. Because I think women have a very valid point - especially when it comes to dressing women," she explains. The competitors sit with their backs to the runway as Heidi Klum enters to inform them about their challenge for the week. She has them turn around when they are told about the making of companion pieces. (more)...

The seven remaining contestants on Project Runway created a look that is inspired by a famous locale on this week's episode. Last week's winner Carol Hannah Whitfield says the competition gets more difficult with each passing week as contestants wonder "who's next?" "We're all looking at each other and picking out the stray sheep, and the wolves kind of start to circle," she describes. Christopher Straub refers to himself as an “underdog”, while Althea Harper sees "the possibilities as endless", as far as the limits she wants to push herself to. Klum tells the designers that they are heading out for a field trip to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. They meet Tim Gunn at Michael Kors's West Coast flagship store. He presents them with their next challenge, which involves a choice of locations. He advises the (more)...

The wait is over! Project Runway finally emerged on Lifetime Thursday with an epic block of programming that lasted more than three hours. And despite the much ballyhooed network flip and the relocation from New York to Los Angeles, deep exhale, the new Runway felt pretty much like the old one. All About the All-Stars: What a treat to catch up with Sweet P., Daniel Vosovic, Chris March, Uli, Mychael Knight, season 3 champ Jeffrey and Korto! Also, Santino Rice brought his typical braggadocio and baggage. Sure, that Tim Gunn impression is classic but without Andre as the brunt of the joke, the shtick was a little played-out ... sort of like his collection of metallic-inspired garments. In the challenge, the eight designers had to create a mini-collection of three looks. And true to form, a surprise was added in the eleventh hour when they had to fashion a fourth outfit from...
