Shaughnessy McDaniel was born on April 4, 1988 in the small town of
Lamar, Colorado. He was born and raised in Greeley, Colorado where his
love of films and love of acting soon turned into a passion for
filmmaking. After spending a year at the University of St. Andrews
studying history he transferred back to the states to study film
production and history at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Here
he completed several works including his 2008 film "The Path" and his
2010 feature-length documentary "We Can Still Rise Now" about the cause
of Scottish Nationalism. After graduating Shaughnessy began working in
2011 as the Director of Production at Rocky Mountain Shows and
Documentaries where he produced 45 30-minute documentaries
single-handedly in his first 3 years there, as well as establishing new
programming including CET Studio Sessions, Xfinity Arts and
Entertainment Monthly, and Out West: Experience Colorado. He has also
directed and produced several music videos for his band including the
modest hit, "Club 2 Da Pub" and their homage to Batman, "Gotham's
Finest".
