The Weeknd, real name Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, kicked off his long-awaited operatic tour with a fully cinematic experience for concertgoers, complete with “Perry Mason”-esque stage design, moon sacrifices, and veiled women gyrating in ritualistic unison.
