The 2014 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony is this Saturday, and another group of inductees, headlined by the Ultimate Warrior, will join the ranks of wrestling’s greatest men and women. But there are still numerous deserving wrestlers who have not yet been inducted.
Here is a list of 15 of those wrestlers, tag teams, or factions that deserve to be in the WWE Hall of Fame.
Keep in mind that this list has been compiled according to WWE’s criteria for what constitutes a deserving addition to an “elite” group that includes Koko B. Ware but not Frank Gotch. There are going to be a lot of names not included that many will feel are more deserving of inclusion, and they should check out the list of the Professional Wrestling Hall of Famers or the Wrestling Observer Hall of Famers.
Here is the extensive criteria for those who will not make this list.

Controversy creates interest. Which is true to some extent, however controversy doesn’t always equal acceptable or good in time. In wrestling, performers are given gimmicks in order to find a connection with the audience. Those gimmicks create common ground between the performer and spectator, bizarre interest, or strong detest. What I will examine, are some of the most controversial gimmicks that would be unacceptable in 2014. I’ll look at the past characters that don’t fit into today’s PG standards, those that are flat-out racist or simply terrible.
Wrestling at times is a microcosm of society. One would have to look no further than The Wyatt Family, who could be confused for Duck Dynasty off looks alone. Most people hate their bosses, and to focus on that, WWE created the controversial Mr. McMahon character. Conversely, this can go terribly wrong...

The wrestling industry belongs to Vincent Kennedy McMahon. The history of the profession stretches way back to the 1800′s, but for the most part, the history of pro wrestling only exists from the era of McMahon.
It was Churchill who declared “History is written by the victors”, and in wrestling it has certainly been the case. The WWE will touch upon wrestlers such as Frank Gotch who popularized pro wrestling with his 1908 World Championship run, but mainly the celebration of “wrestling greats” begins with the Wwwf’s Bruno Sammartino in 1963. The WWE media machine has carefully popularized its own version of wrestling history, and attempts have been made in various propaganda to cast wrestling history in the way Vince McMahon sees fit.
This WWE rewriting of history has involved censorship, deletion of champions and blackballing of talent. Here we look at 10 ways the WWE has tried to rewrite the legacy of an industry…...
