Though it feels as if she was just born, Princess Charlotte is now celebrating her first birthday. While details of how Prince William and Kate Middleton are marking the milestone for their daughter remain under wraps, we have been told they'll be celebrating it privately at their country home. And we're certain there will be plenty of excitement in their household as the little princess opens her first-ever batch of birthday presents. Low-key celebrations have become something of a theme for the future king and queen, who are determined to give the little princess, and her brother, Prince George, as normal a childhood as possible. The little ones are blissfully unaware of their fate and that George will one...

Warsaw, Poland’s 11bitstudios recently brought their PC and iOS hit This War of Mine to consoles. The new version of the intense strategy game, which is called This War Of Mine: The Little Ones, shows the Siege of Sarajevo in a new light. War is rarely seen through the eyes of children, and yet this is what the game replicates.
We Got This Covered recently spoke with 11bitstudios’ Pawel Miechowsk about how challenging it was bringing This War of Mine to consoles, how children change the game, and much more.
Check it out below, and enjoy!
We Got This Covered: Playing through This War of Mine is an incredibly stressful experience due to the player having to make difficult, and morally questionable choices. Do you feel like making players uncomfortable is one of the best ways to immerse them in the harsh realities of the Siege of Sarajevo?

Prince Harry's royal charm truly knows no bounds. The 31-year old paid a visit to Lancashire, England, on Friday and met with local residents and soldiers at the Weeton Barracks; the Lancashire area was ravaged by flooding for more than four weeks in December, and nearly 500 soldiers gave up their Christmases with family to help others. Harry turned on the charm for the Army officers and was even more delightful while meeting a 97-year-old woman named Winifred Hodson and a group of children living on the base. The little ones were reportedly told that they would be meeting "a real-life prince" that day, and they couldn't have looked happier to be eye-to-eye with Harry, who knelt down to chat with them. An eyewitness told the Telegraph that the kids asked him a series of questions including "What's your favorite football team?" "Where's your crown?" and "How much money do you have?...

These days most animated films are sophisticated enough to be enjoyed as much by adults as they are kids. The little ones can go see Frozen and come away with magic and music branded onto their brains, while adults can appreciate it as not just a great musical, but a clever twist on classic Disney princess stories. A four-year-old may want to see The Good Dinosaur for its adorable dino, while a forty-year-old may be more drawn to its stunning animation. Striking that all ages balance isn't easy, but it's certainly worth it. All that said, the first teaser trailer for Trolls has us suspecting this may be one strictly for the kiddos (and those who like twerking animated creatures). Coming from a number of minds that collectively gave us Alvin and the Chipmunks: The...

Offering a decidedly different take on the harrowing effects of warfare than the original PC version, developer 11 bit studios has showcased a new gameplay trailer for This War of Mine: The Little Ones, which is due for a release across PS4 and Xbox One on January 29, 2016.
Placing players in control of young kid, the dev has made clear its ambition to tell its story of hardship and sacrifice through the innocent lens of children. Caught up in a war they don’t truly understand, it’s a platform that has the potential for a great storytelling device, and 11 bit studios outlined some of the ambition behind The Little Ones.
“This War of Mine: The Little Ones focuses on the reality of enduring war and the idea that even in war, kids are still kids – they laugh, cry, play with toys and see the world differently,” the publisher explained. “In addition to thinking about survival,...

The singer took to the sand as she enjoyed downtime from her performances in Melbourne, which she shared photos of on her Instagram page. Mariah made her time Down Under a family affair, ringing in the new year alongside her husband, Nick Cannon, and their twins, Moroccan and Monroe. The little ones joined their mom on stage to greet the crowd at one show, and they even said a few words to fans into the microphone. Mariah is gearing up for the premiere of American Idol next week and took some time to speak to Barbara Walters about her judging gig on the show. It's kids versus grown-ups on tonight's episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey as Gia Giudice and Melissa Gorga throw down at Beatstock and Albie and Christopher Manzo square off against their old man. So who came out on top? Well, we'd like to nominate the show's resident voice of snark and style—Greg Bennett. Nabbing a blk. endorsement (and a hug!) from Patti Labelle at the Fancy Food show seems like a major victory. How did everyone else do? Let's see... Joe Gorga's clearly losing the battle where his kids are concerned. The little ones are blocking Tarzan at every turn—whether he's having to control himself at the pool or getting interrupted in the...

Producer Joel Silver was the host to many celebrity guests at his Memorial Day bash yesterday in Malibu. Joel throws a special holiday bash every year, and his 2012 event was as star-studded as usual. Gavin Rossdale, home during a break from his tour with Bush, dropped by along with his wife, Gwen Stefani, and their boys, Zuma and Kingston. The family played together on a bouncy castle Joel rented for the occasion, then checked out the beach. The little ones were able to say hi to Tobey Maguire's kids while the adults caught up. Both Courteney Cox and David Arquette swung by as well with their daughter, Coco, and Kate Beckinsale brought her daughter, Lily Sheen, and husband, Len Wiseman. This Sunday, Discovery premieres what could be the most fascinating hour of its seven-part polar exploration series Frozen Planet — the making-of. We already talked with series producer Vanessa Berlowitz and director Chadden Hunter about how this installment is for them — especially in the case of revisiting the solo bison-wolf battle captured in last week’s “Winter” episode – a therapy session. (“We wanted to basically take the viewer’s hand and say, ‘Okay, this was emotional to watch, but we go through the same emotions when we film it,’” Hunter said.) Now, we probe deeper into what life was like for...

This Sunday, Discovery debuts the seven-part series Frozen Planet, from the makers of Planet Earth and Life. The cinematography is truly incredible, as is narrator Alec Baldwin talking about polar bear foreplay in the 8 p.m. Et premiere, “The Ends of the Earth.”
In Sunday’s second hour, “Spring” (9 p.m. Et), Baldwin gives the play-by-play of a new mother polar bear venturing out to find her first meal in four months so she can continue to produce milk for her two cubs. The little ones don’t exactly cooperate with her stealth seal-hunting technique. Watch what happens below. Hint: Cute overload.

Lauren Conrad is usually a pro when it comes to modeling, but yesterday she had her hands full with a group of cuddly puppies on a beach in Malibu. The little ones chased Lc along the shore while she frolicked in a bright blue sundress. Lauren's no stranger to hanging with pups since she is the proud owner of her own four-legged pal, Chloe. Chloe may be her best friend, but it seems Lc's also been spotted with Stephen Dorff recently. In addition to taking a turn in front of the lens, Lc also accomplished a major milestone this week by putting the finishing touches on her upcoming beauty book. It may be a while before we see the hardcover on shelves, but fans of her young adult books can preorder The Fame Game ahead of the novel's official release on April 3. View Slideshow ›...

Mariah Carey was out and about to do some holiday shopping in Aspen yesterday. She's been spotted all over the snowy Colorado town stocking up on gifts for family and friends - she's just one of the many celebrities who love spending time in the snow during the chilly Winter months! The little ones were born in April, and the singer recently showed off her amazing postbaby body. Mariah modeled a sexy Santa costume for her latest music video but flaunted her six-pack abs for Us Weekly. Mariah Carey made a quick change after stopping into luxury retailer Loro Piana in Aspen yesterday. She arrived in a black jacket and sandals and later emerged in boots and a hat. Mariah posed for photographers during the trip, which is an annual event for the singer. She skipped the Colorado visit last year due to her complicated pregnancy, but she and husband Nick Cannon traveled to the snowy spot in 2008 and 2009. It's an especially exciting year for Mariah and Nick, since they welcomed their twins Moroccan and Monroe in April. The little ones were among the many adorable babies Hollywood welcomed in 2011, including Harper Beckham, Haven Warren, and Willow Hart. Mariah and Nick showed off Moroccan and Monroe Cannon in October, and since then, new mom Mariah has also been flaunting her postbaby body. She's getting back to work with new music, recently releasing a version of "All I Want For Christmas...

Rosie O'Donnell has a new show on Own and just announced her engagement to girlfriend Michelle Rounds, but the TV personality is still the caustic, hilarious and honest Rosie we've come to know. O'Donnell sat down with The Huffington Post to talk about "The Rosie Show," her new love life and and how her kids are doing these days.
"The Rosie Show" isn't a regular talk show. What makes it so different?
We don't really have pre-interviews. When you have a guest on another show, usually the guest tells them whatever stories they have and the host sets them up to tell their stories. We give general areas like, "We're going to talk about divorce or dieting. Is there any area you don't want to discuss?" Initially, some of the producers here were like, "What's going to happen?" And I told them, "What's going to happen is we're maybe going...

Nick Cannon posted new photos of "dem babies," his children, Moroccan and Monroe, today on Twitter! Mariah and Nick dressed Roc and Roe in crab outfits, and he tweeted that they're "little crab cakes!" Nick and Mariah first gave a glimpse into their happy family life last month when they invited Barbara Walters into their home to meet the infants. Angelina Jolie held hands with her youngest kids, Knox and Vivienne, yesterday when they left the Ujbuda Children's Center in Budapest, Hungary. Knox and Vivienne's older siblings Pax, Maddox, Shiloh, and Zahara were also along for the fun afternoon. The little ones were in for an extra-special treat, since their grandparents, Bill and Jane Pitt visited the Jolie-Pitts from their place in Missouri. Another of their relatives, Jon Voight, recently spoke out about their family connections. Jon Voight reunited with Angelina last year in Venice, a turn of events that was apparently brought about by Brad himself. Despite almost 10 years of estrangement, Jon said, "I suddenly saw things differently and everything shifted. That one moment changed my whole life. It gave me back my daughter and my family. The MTV Movie Awards could add a category for Best Soundtrack, but for a show that hands out golden popcorn trophies for Best Scared-As-s**t Performance and Biggest Badass Star, well, that would be so conventional.
That's not to say that a number of the movies being honored on this Sunday night's show didn't have seriously kick-ass soundtracks. Here's a breakdown of some of our favorites among the nominees.
"The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" (Best Movie): The folks behind the "Twilight" franchise have had few missteps in translating the vampire drama to the big screen. One of their biggest successes is in curating killer companion albums and the "Eclipse" lineup is no exception. With strong tracks from Muse, the Bravery, Black Keys, Band of Horses and Cee Lo Green, "Eclipse" is another eclectic, surefire winner.

Chicago – Last week, Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” notched a couple of Academy Award nominations. Do me a favor. Don’t allow your children to only know Johnny Depp’s portrayal of the Mad Hatter when it comes to Lewis Carroll’s timeless tale. Of course, they should read the actual book (or have it read to them) but don’t let them miss the great Disney classic, now available in another stunning Blu-ray release from the company currently doing this kind of thing better than anyone else.
Blu-Ray Rating: 5.0/5.0
As you can learn through the spectacular special features on this release, “Alice in Wonderland” started as a series of stories to a young girl named Alice. Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (who would later take the pseudonym Lewis Carroll) created the world of Wonderland for the middle daughter of Henry Liddell and was eventually begged to write them down for her.
