It’s Halloween night, and two “bad apples” decide to play some wicked tricks on the one house in a suburban cul-de-sac that is not celebrating Halloween. They terrorize a young couple in their home and these tricks become increasingly more sinister as the night progresses, finally ending in a Halloween the entire neighborhood will never forget…
What does writer/director Bryan Coyne have against pregnancy and kids? His previous film, Infernal, was all about a demonic child and this one features not one, but two, evil-doing psycho kids and opens with a pregnant woman stabbed to death (a nice cameo from Heather Dorff)! God give me strength. Time for yet another “found-footage” movie, this time riffing on The Omen. Well at least that’s what the filmmakers say!
Writen and directed by Bryan Coyne, Infernal tells the story of Nathan (Ostroff) and Sophia (Adair) a newlywed couple, both looking forward to a bright future. Not long after matrimony, Heather becomes pregnant and ushers the pair’s first child into the world, Imogene. It soon becomes apparent that Imogene (Koerner) is exhibiting strange and dangerous behavior, leaving the new parents floundering in their attempt to find answers. When Imogene’s actions become destructive, it becomes clear that forces beyond the natural world are at work, and that something – or Someone – is pulling the strings.
Infernal did not get off to a good start.

Following your natural and emotional instincts in an intriguing journey to not only contend with the struggles in your personal relationships, but also inspire the creative process in your career, can be an equally harrowing and gratifying process. In the new found footage horror film, ‘Infernal,’ which opens today in theaters and on VOD nationwide, a young married couple is relatably combating their ever-increasing difference in opinions and disagreements over how to best raise their daughter. Writer-director-producer Bryan Coyne, who made the film after helming the 2012 television baseball documentary, ‘Harvard Park,’ grippingly drew on inspiration from his own personal relationships to showcase how the seemingly happiest moments of a [ Read More ]

Infernal (2015) Review
Writer/Director: Bryan Coyne
Cast: Alyssa Koerner, Matthew Scott Payne, Leandra Ryan.
Synopsis: The joy of parenthood for a pair of newlyweds turns dark as their child begins to become something not human.
The indie Infernal was an intriguing beast to sit through, because it seems to take inspiration from other haunted house films like Insidious and The Shining – which can only be a good thing – and takes that step further and uses the subject of demon possession to explore something unique to the genre: Autism and the struggles the family go through because of the condition.
Yes, Infernal’s newlyweds Nathan and Sophia’s daughter Imogene is autistic and something strange and evil is being drawn to her. But why? And furthermore, what effect does this have on the couple and how will the demon use this to its advantage, negative...

Writer/Director Bryan Coyne’s (Harvard Park, Incarnate) new horror film Utero has wrapped principal photography. Utero is a character-driven story that is structured in a similar fashion of the horror films of yesteryear, and follows an agoraphobic unwed mother, played by Jessica Cameron (pictured above on set), who finds her psyche unraveling as she becomes convinced that her unborn child is more monster than human.
Director/writer Coyne had this to say about the movie:
“Shooting Utero was a dream come true for me. Like any filmmaking experience it was a grandiose challenge. But the commitment of our crew and cast, a wonderful commune of pure artists, helped me achieve something astoundingly effective. I can’t wait for this film to be seen.”
Utero was shot in Los Angeles and independently financed by Coinopflix. Jonathan Higgins and Jessica Cameron (Truth or Dare) produced the film with former Platinum Studios...

With director Bryan Coyne’s feature Utero having wrapped after thirteen days of principal photography in Los Angeles, we caught up with star and producer Jessica Cameron to get the skinny on the flick, and to bring you some exclusive photos.
Cameron, who recently starred in and directed the feature Truth or Dare, said of what attracted her to the project (which stars her as an agoraphobic unwed mother who finds her psyche unraveling as she becomes convinced that her unborn child is more monster than human), “I have been friends with Bryan for a while now, and we have talked many times about collaborating on a project. When Utero came up I just had to do it. I simply fell in love with the character Lauren that he created and wanted to explore her universe.

On a dark and rainy day, I drove up the twisting Hollywood hills to visit the set of Utero, a new horror film produced by and starring Jessica Cameron, the queen of screams who dominated the festival circuit last year with a dementedly twisted game of truth or dare.
What I found when I got there was a passionate and energetic cast and crew fueled by energy drinks, energy shots, coffee, and energy bars. There was so much caffeine on set that it seemed to seep into the air so that I felt like I got a caffeine buzz just from breathing.
Of course, in reality my buzz didn't come from imaginary airborne caffeine, but from my close proximity to scream queen Jessica Cameron. Jessica was as beautiful as ever in her costume, a grey bathrobe covered in blood and green vomit. She has a...

The independently financed flick, which is currently in post-production, stars Paul McCarthy-Boyington (Altered), Trista Robinson (Breath of Hate), Eddie McGee and Celine Tien (the latter two of which worked with Hough on the J-horror influenced The Angel) and revolves around the character of Veronica, a woman who suddenly finds herself in a surreal and horrifying marathon race where the rules are simple - ‘If you are lapped, you die. Creep Creepersin is back with another film about a violent and deranged soul who just can't control himself. No, it's not the Uncle Creepy bio-pic, it's an indie effort known only as ... He.
The film, which was written, directed, and produced by Creepersin (who also stars) in conjunction with producers Nikki Wall, Gary Griffith, and Aine Leicht, stars Ariauna Albright, Matt Turek, Marlina Germanova, Sean Cain, Jordon Lawson, Julie Rose, Paul Hough, Bryan Coyne, Destiny Jasmen Rodiguez, Trent Haaga, and Nikki Wall. It tells the tale of a man who is misunderstood and his wife that wants him dead.
